*** Official Jerious Norwood Bandwagon*** (1 Viewer)

Turner and Norwood are 1A and 1B in the list of current NFL backups who could put up #1 FF RB stats given the opportunity. I love this guys potential for future greatness with the excellent run-blocking unit the Falcons have put together.

i think he's a got a very good chance to start next year in a good running offense, and should do fine.
So we agree then. And, if you're in a dynasty league, the time to act to get him is now (or probably more accurately, a month ago.)
never once said he was a scrub... people think if you don't pee your pants over a long run against a crap opponent during borderline garbage time, you must hate the guy. i just wanna see more before i get as....excited.
Sorry about getting personal with the avatar and user name...my bad.It just baffles me how someone who follows football could be blind to the talent that norwood has..not just that 1 run...he`s been doing it all pre-season and college. He is too good to be just a flash in the pan.

If you're wondering why running backs coach Ollie Wilson waited so long to use Jerious Norwood, that's because the rookie sprained a shoulder as he ran down the field to defend the opening kickoff.

Norwood felt better after trainers harnessed his shoulder, giving him a comfort level that helped him ignore the pain as he broke off a franchise-record 78-yard run that gave the Falcons a 19-point lead early in the fourth quarter.

"He came into the game with fresh legs, and he is a spark to the offense," quarterback Michael Vick said. "We have to get the ball in his hands in different situations. I'm just glad the kid is on my team. He has the ability to get in open space and make one guy miss and be gone

:banned:

being a Christian myself...I thought this was pretty cool, thought I would share....

....Jerious' Conerly Award Speech...

I wonder if Jim Mora, Jr. is tempted to lessen Dunn's load so as to preserve him for the long haul and get the ball into Norwood's hands.

It's a two for one agenda that can only help the Falcons win. Dunn's age and number of carries, coupled with the electrifying things that happen when Norwood touches the ball makes this seem a no brainer. I am not saying for one minute that Dunn isn't getting the job done, but the Falcons two running backs are both good enough that it is not beyond good reason to more evenly distribute the workload there.

I think that Norwoods talent will make to big a case for itself to be off the field. I could see a Maroney/Dillon type of situation in Atlanta by mid season

I mentioned in another thread that they may start showcasing Norwood more since they are more than likely out of the playoffs and want to see what they have in him for next year.

The guy certainly has big play ability and makes the most of his few touches.

As a Norwood owner in a dynasty league, I hope Dunn retires at the end of this year so we can all sit back and watch the Norwood show.

Falcons aren't out the playoffs yet. 6-6 is tied for last wild card spot.

They are on the outside looking in as the Giants own the tie breaker.
