Nah. He’s played about 70% of the snaps tonight. Just getting started.Party over?
If only he had your boy Kizer tossing him the rock. They'd make quite the duo, eh?When does this guy plan on starting his hall of fame career?
This is big"We drafted Josh [Doctson] to be the No. 1 guy. He just has had some injuries. Now that he's healthy, we want to see what he can do."
Nice post.Cousins had 40 pass attempts in this game so Doctsons 5 targets were 12.5% of his attempts.

Does anyone have thoughts on whether the heavy TE targets were mainly due the Eagles' banged up LB corps vs. Cousins/Gruden consciously not targeting the WRs?
Hmmm...if that's the case it may not bode well for the next 3 games (D.Lawrence/Dallas, SEA, MIN).No time in the pocket
I do think Kendricks was out for this game?PhantomJB said:Nice post.

Yes. Starting Eagles WLB Kendricks out and then MLB Hicks out with ruptured Achilles on 2nd play of game. So mainly backups at LB...IMO part of reason why Jenkins had such a huge game at safety.I do think Kendricks was out for this game?
That could be part of it. Cousins has targeted Reed over the receivers for a long time though. Davis joined the team last year, so he may have developed more chemistry with him now?
May be somewhat specific to this game, but I do think that has been a tendency overall with Cousins to target Reed a lot.

I suppose we'll see going forward how things shake out but Doctson appeared to gain good separation most of the night so maybe the targets will come eventually.
Cowboys (6 - twice), Vikings (14), Saints (12), Cards (4) and Chargers (10) are all in the bottom half of the league in points allowed to WRs, with the Giants (18 -twice) right outside that group. So 8 of their last 10 are against average or worse WR defenses.hamsterdam said:His schedule isn't very good ROS, but I guess he needs to truly break out first before worrying about that heh...
His athleticism is certainly not overrated. He ticks a lot of boxes for what could be elite level WR. That being said, his efficiency and usage has sucked to this point. You could do far worse as an end of bench stash/desperation play. Who are you grabbing at the end of your bench? TJ Jones? Bennie Fowler? Taylor Gabriel? His situation has now become exponentially better then anyone on Arizona or Green Bay too coupled with byes.Overated , they spread the ball to much, I’ll pass.
Hope so. Own him in 1 dynasty. Tried to get him in the other, but owner wanted a 1st rounder + a starter. Too high IMOThis IS the week
Measurables are very good. in the 90+ percentile in vertical and broad jumps, as well as the 60 yard shuttle. He is not truly lacking in any category. In the 40 percentiles in 10 yard splits, bench press, and arm length, but that is not terrible. The rest of his numbers are very solid. His athleticism is certainly not overrated. It's brutal after this week assuming defenses view him as the No. 1 WR. If they do he'll facehamsterdam said:His schedule isn't very good ROS, but I guess he needs to truly break out first before worrying about that heh...
I am in the same situation after OBJ. I ditched Tyrell, Darkwa, & Snead for Doctson, JuJu, and Sanu the past 2 weeks. Figured I would cast a wide net and see if one or two will stick. Doctson is my flex with Sanu in WR2 for now.Throwing a hail mary WW pickup on this guy. The OBJ injury and Cooper's struggles, and the low production of Alshon Jeffrey, has really killed my team. Really hoping Cory Davis or Doctson does something in the 2nd half. After seeing the preceding post, now feeling like I wasted FAAB, even if it was just $5.
If he blows up this week it will be worth the investment. I'm gonna worry about next week next week. It's very possible he's just a one-week rental for me since the next month looks absolutely awful for him. But if I get the week I'm hoping for with a plus matchup I'll take it and then re-assess.Throwing a hail mary WW pickup on this guy. Ehhhh ... seems like coachspeak but there's a chance Pryor ascends again with a good week.Redskins coach Jay Gruden said the team will "play the hot hand" between Josh Doctson and Terrelle Pryor.
Gruden made it clear Jamison Crowder will remain a starter with Ryan Grant playing the "Z" in three-wide sets, meaning Doctson and Pryor are competing for snaps at the "X." It is less than an ideal fantasy situation which will likely lead to inconsistent and frustrating production for both players. As it stands, Doctson looks like the best fantasy bet, but he will be a risky start this week against the Cowboys.
So in the span of a few days Doctson has gone from someone "we drafted to be the No. 1 WR" to sharing snaps with Pryor. Gruden must've been really impressed with Pryor's Monday night drops.Ehhhh ... seems like coachspeak but there's a chance Pryor ascends again with a good week.

I've never been a big fan of Jay Gruden as a head coach but the intelligent thing would seem to be to give Doctson a healthy amount of targets and see what happens. Five targets is an upgrade but hardly a number to tell you much of anything. This would seem to be the week where you can really learn a lot about him. The Cowboys have really struggled with outside WRs so this is a plus matchup for him. You'll almost certainly need to throw a lot to win the game since your running game isn't very good. If you give him a legitimate opportunity in a plus matchup and he fails you learn a lot. If he succeeds you may have found something your offense badly needs - a go-to WR.Ehhhh ... seems like coachspeak but there's a chance Pryor ascends again with a good week.

This seems like a pretty easy move for Gruden to make. But he doesn't always do the intelligent thing so we'll see. I'm still starting him as my WR4. Matchup is too good and this should be a game where Washington throws it a ton.
RotoWorld is really bad at this, however. They constantly spin a story in ways that run contrary to what the story is actually saying. These sites love to create fear, panic, and doubt so people keep clicking...
and let’s be honest, fantasy Football chicken Little’s are easy prey.
None of the WRs on the team are as good as those two. Was a pretty bad idea letting both of them go. Should've at least kept one. While snaps are a good start and I have shares of Doctson...this is a passing offense that seems to run from the inside out.
What has not occurred yet for Cousins is establishing a trust with his WR’s like he had with Garçon & D-Jax.
