***OFFICIAL*** KC @ DEN Game Thread (1 Viewer)

It would only be natural for KC's D to start losing some intensity pretty soon, realizing Smith is never gonna move the ball.
Have they been turning a blind eye the last 9 weeks plus the off season? Hilarious how much Collinsworth was praising him almost like you might prop up a HS kid trying to get him some confidence.

KC will never go far with Smith at QB and he likely is embedded as the starter for some time to come. They might win 11 or 12 games, going nowhere in th playoffs IMO.
To be fair, what have the Chefs done in the playoffs prior to Smith's arrival?
Historically speaking? They had another SF QB once and came within a few of competing in a Super Bowl. I get what you're saying though.

"Gutsy"…CC can't stop.

It seems obvious where the difference is between these 2 teams.
Are you even watching the game? Smith has kept KC in it for the most part. About half a dozen drops from his WRs and no running game.
I saw a guy overthrow an open TE in the 1st, couldn't even launch a hail mary, and the announcers are propping them up like they are David vs Goliath. I'm not gonna argue with you Jurb, you have your opinion but Alex Smith cannot operate in 3rd and long, can't get a team to win in a come from behind situation like he is in right now. It was only 17-10 midway thru the 3rd but it felt like 37-10 the way the Chiefs are playing on offense.

Do you put any of the blame on Smith? You don't have to answer that.

Is Collinsworth Alex Smith's brother or something?

That was a successful drive? Yeah, down 14 with 12 minutes left, I can see how a drive that results in a punt that gives the ball back to Peyton Manning would be considered a success.

Was that Grbac or Bono?

Did you see the pass he put right on the money for a 30 yd gain that Avery dropped? What bout the one Bowe dropped 25 yds down field? How about the screen Charles dropped? Or the pass his TE dropped? Smith has limitations but the irrational hate is far worse than his limitations.

All QB's have drops. There is no irrational hate. Just irrational excuses.

How many drops does Den have?

Glad I'm not the only one listening to this. CC has been propping him up all night.

Smith has limitations but the irrational hate is far worse than his limitations.
I'm not hating, that's why I said you have your opinion I have mine. I'm not trying to rain on your parade.

:lmao: OK.

Unbelievable that the chiefs defense has not touched manning all night. Not once.
Yup. That's the difference in the game. Den has had consistent pressure on Smith and KC hasn't even sniffed Manning. Never would have thought Den would be able to control the KC pass rushers like this.

A few that I've seen, but that still doesn't make up for they scoring against the supposed #1 defense. Which DEN doesn't have, yet so far Smith and Co. have only scored 10 points.

I've heard the Smith excuse train since 2005. You ain't proving anything new here.

It really is. As immobile as he is and as dominant as the KC pass rush has been... plus prior to tonight the Denver o-line had not been playing especially well.

Gronk is going to have a hell of a game next week against the Broncos - they have struggled all year with the TE

I'm critical of smith as much as the next guy, but.....

Trent Dilfer career average yards/comp: 6.47

Alex smith : 6.50

Trent Dilfer does have a ring

Just saying...
