For what it's worth, I have a source close to the team who told me last night that a coach indicated to him that Fitzgerald has been moving around very gingeraly all week and they think there's a pretty good chance he doesn't play today.

Was His name Braylon Edwards? :excited:
Why did you post this? Do you know badfish2 and think he might be giving us false info?
Anyone one can say I heard. This is only 'Word'. Tired of people coming in and saying 'I need Him to play' or 'I have a Aunt who's friends son knows Him and he's out'. Word people. Not what you think.Carry on.
Agreed, this happens frequently, and you should always take that sort of thing with a grain of salt. This particular insight came from the mouth of Russ Grimm. My source spends "lots" of time with Russ and other members of his staff. Do with it what you will.

Thanks for the early heads up fish.

ESPN's John Clayton believes Larry Fitzgerald will miss Sunday's game against Cleveland due to his groin injury.

If Fitzgerald is out, Kurt Warner's matchup would take a big hit. Bryant Johnson would start in Fitz's place and be a decent replacement in fantasy leagues, but if you have strong and safer options in Sunday's early games, it looks like considering them would be wise

Clayton just said on ESPN that he thinks Fitz will miss the game
this MAY well be true - Clayton is just reporting what someone told him, BUT down here we heard that Fitz was feeling a little better yesterday and since this is a late game and they are not even on the field, I would take it with a large grain of Caution

I guess He was right.

This sucks. I was really counting on Fitz this week. I can't afford to take the chance or wait until the late game. Now I have to choose between Burress, R. White and C. Henry. Not what I was hoping for.

with AZ still having hope at a playoff spot, I say he at least gives it a go. What happens from there is up to his groin!!!

As a Fitz owner I'm very concerned with Fitz FINISHING the game. Groin injuries are tough for WRs because of the push off they need from the line of scrimmage. Fitz lacks elite speed and relies on positioning to get open, that may be difficult to do. Even if Fitz can start I wonder seriously how effective he can be.

In need of a win this week, I can not take the goose egg that potentially looms. I'm having to look at Dayne or R.Johnson as a flex option here.

NBC Fantasy Fix's Will Carroll (aka "The Medicine Man") stated that the Cardinals will hold Fitz out this week.

Get Bryant Johnson if you can over the WW.

Since we start a big line-up RB, 3WR, 3 Flex, I am benching Ronald Curry and am dressing both Fitzgerald & B Johnson!

Note: Our line-ups have to be set before the early games.

That's 2 speculative reports that Fitz is not going to play. I think us Fitz owners have to look elsewhere for points today.

this is a good post.........bryant johnson becomes a good play in what should be like a 38-31 game.......i have johnson in a dynasty league and i'm kinda hoping for some good games to get him a starting gig next year when he becomes a FA.

Need advice. Now that Fitz is out should I start Burress, C. Henry, or R. White. I am already starting Housh with the weather in Pitt.

The Cardinals promoted WR Jamaica Rector from the practice squad this week, which appears to be an indication they're concerned about Fitzgerald's availability

:hangover:

I'm taking Fitz out and putting McGahee in his place. But I also have Warner.

Joe,

How far does this drop Warner in points?

I'm benching Fitz for Anthony Gonzalez, and I'm benching Chad Johnson so I can play Dallas Clark and Tony Gonzalez. Playoffs at stake also. Maybe I'm crazy for benching CJ, but no guts, not glory.
