They are also fixing the elf hunter trick which I only barely just learned - sonuvabiotch.

Nonetheless, there will be a lot of new solo quests which I will be able to do to get to 47 faster. 47 is the magic number now.

I'm kind of stressed out by this update. I was just starting to get comfortable with the game, now they change a bunch of stuff. It's going to be hard to find groups for the old stuff now as everyone explores the new stuff. Odd, because I'm actually a big change agent who's always welcoming change.

What was the trick?FYI - Ghost Riding is when you mount your horse, hit your stealth command and you become mounted stealthed.

Yeah, but elf hunters could do it, too, instead of just burgs. We hit the horse, then sylvan shadows and poof, there we go.

Had some quests reset, so I had to go back and restart them, but overall OK.

Now, I hate that they disabled your stance and node detection on horseback. Makes it a PITA to try and remember.

I DID complete 2 legendary traits today - got Press Onward (Way of the Hunter book - got last 3 pages hunting orcs) and Hail of Thorns from the Furthest Charge book. Found the last page at AH for 400 silver buyout. I nearly crapped my pants. I would have paid 3 gold without blinking. I think it was on AH for less than a minute, since I arrived, checked, nothing. Checked one other thing. Got ready to leave, decided to make 1 more check, BOOM! Hit the Buyout key so hard I nearly broke the mouse. :kicksrock:

The new expansion added a new raid in the Misty Mtns, however to get access, you need to do a couple of FedEx quests. However, there are 12 individual quests to get, so they have you running ALL OVER Middle Earth to get them all. My hunter could port everywhere, adn it still took over an hour to get them all, but I did get about 30K in XP. There were a bunch of guys who I have gotten to know fairly well that were running a raid last night and wanted me to join, but I was busy darn it.

So you know, the raid groups are saying min level 46 to join unless you are a healer. Of course. :scared:

I DEMAND to know where you are. Don't you love us anymore? You are our minstrel, we need some minstreling!
Summertime... Between my kid in baseball, my softball league and my in-law's business (don't ask) I have zero time for gaming. :lmao: Hopefully next week life will slow down a little bit and I can start gaming again.

I haven't touched a video game in 2 weeks...

That is correct - it caps at 1 level total.

I think I'm going to leave Vanguard and check out LOTRO. Vanguard just does not run well on my pc and I'm tired of having to solo all the time to avoid lag. So sad, I wanted Vanguard to be the game it was hyped to be so badly. Maybe in a yr or so it'll be better if they don't run out of subs first.

I never played EQ2 or WoW, just EQ and Vanguard.

Thanks for all the input, I don't visit the FFA often and never thought I'd find a MMO thread here but glad I did!! I guess I should check this section more often, there's some interesting reads here.

That is all you read about Vanguard - systems run like crap with it and there are soooo many bugs it is not worthwhile.

What do you you guys think of merging with another solid kinship? There are two that I really like off the top of my head:

House of Elders and Val Numen.

The benefits of this to us are more people who are more likely to form groups. More support in crafting. More help when it's needed and a wider range of people currently in your level range.

I would prefer to find a group with a core of people interested in PVMP as well because I am going to be a staple there.

Guys I really like on Gladden:

Malcore

Alros

Caeden

Winters

Those are all guys that see me and send me invites to fellows and tells all the time. All good guys. I want to see what kinships they are in, as well.

Definitely no to OTG.

Well, in all honesty, since I've never grouped with anyone in your list (except Malcore briefly), perhaps we don't all have to go anywhere. Our options are:

Do nothing, people who want to switch, do so with no hard feelings

Move en masse to another kinship

Go in smaller groups to other places

What the hell was that on the LOTRO forums? I was just pointing out that I was in the kinship and some other kin might know me and we could make a connection.

kkWell, I didn't think it was necessary to put my name, your name or any other of our characters names. Then your posting with the "I'm somewhat known around here." struck me as funny. You sounded like Ron Burgundy, "I don't know how to put this but I'm kind of a big deal."

Most people have their chars in the sig. Just so you know who you are talking to. If I am looking at joining a guild, I would be much more likely to join one where I know a few guys already there.

You're free to do that, but it doesn't sound like we know the same guys.

That Kinship Remnants of Doriath is very small - like 3 people right now. Alros, his brother (not sure of his name) and Fathom, who is Alros's friend. I have done stuff with them, but really like Alros. Good guy.

I am not saying we need to join with another either. I am always more than happy to help guys out one way or another. I also have guys I know in game, so it works out well for me. For instance, the day the new raid was released, I had Caeden and Malcore both sending me tells to get the quests and let me know of a raid and inviting me. Hours and hours of play on end rarely works for me (uninterrupted that is :goodposting: ) so this kin is just fine, but we can always use new blood.

We currently have a number of memebrs in the 30 range and the closer we get to 50 the more inclined we are in helping our lower level memebrs reach level cap.
So he was lying about this part?

Guess they could have grown in the last week or so. I will ask Alros later.

:goodposting: I'll play wherever you guys are playing as well - I'm not too picky, although personally I'd rather not up and disband ours and not have somewhere set to go.

I believe he means the members in the kinship are in the 30-40 level range, and once they get close to maxing out, they'll help others.

:blackdot: Of course that's what he meant. I see that now.

FYI - We joined Logos Kinship. So far Kewleo, Myself, Baron, Agrajag, and Xirax have joined. If you want to leave Pilum and join Logos, just quit Pilum and let me know. I will have officer status tomorrow sometime and can add you myself.

They are a little more vulgar than some of you may care for, but they seem to be funny and not too serious while still being aggressive towards the game.

ETA: Pilum still exists and still will exists so you don't have to move your characters over to Logos.

Sounds fine to me - I'll hit you up for an invite next time we're both on.
