but
Pretty good start to answering question 2.Figured some would like this. The St. Pete Times is "tracking" all the big storylines from the show, and if they get resolved:

Same reason that a lot of things were different.Charlie not flushing the drugs and instead swallowing.Desmond being on the plane.Jack only getting one bottle of liquor.I can't understand why Shannon was not on the plane. Claire, they could've just skipped over, but Boone implied that Shannon didn't come. How did that happen?
She wouldn't sign a contract?-I can't understand why Shannon was not on the plane. Claire, they could've just skipped over, but Boone implied that Shannon didn't come. How did that happen?
Her punishment for being so God awful in "Taken."She wouldn't sign a contract?-I can't understand why Shannon was not on the plane. Claire, they could've just skipped over, but Boone implied that Shannon didn't come. How did that happen?
I bet if Sayid is dead then Jacob will become himHow much you want to bet that the other guy, the nemesis, smokey, the guy that is john locke right now is Jacob too.
If by jump the shark you mean just as exciting and fascinating as the first season was then yes. This show jumped the shark, right?
good points. So, does the storyline hold that Jack & Desmond did still meet in that stadium before Des' sailboat race -- or did he even enter that now?Same reason that a lot of things were different.Charlie not flushing the drugs and instead swallowing.Desmond being on the plane.Jack only getting one bottle of liquor.I can't understand why Shannon was not on the plane. I'm not sure if it's a parallel universe or just a matter of those characters just needing to finish their timeline/reality which was already set in motion. Which, now that I re-read what I just wrote - is actually a parallell universe. I don't know what's going on, nevermind. I love this show. Ha.Okay ... I'm lost. So, what, now it's parallel universes?
So everything else you bought into until just now? This show jumped the shark, right?
He'll come back to life somehow, or in some other universe, or something.Sucks for you Sayid.
Or after the commercial break...He'll come back to life somehow, or in some other universe, or something.Sucks for you Sayid.
No, I've gotten on and off the bus a few timesSo everything else you bought into until just now? This show jumped the shark, right?
There it is.Or after the commercial break...He'll come back to life somehow, or in some other universe, or something.Sucks for you Sayid.

You can see the future!

I vote for both.If the producers' mantra of "If you're dead you're dead" is to be trusted, then Sayid isn't Sayid just like Locke isn't Locke. Jacob would seem to be the likely new Sayid.I'm not sure whether that episode was awesome or just really strange
Wouldn't seem like Jacob would wake up saying "what just happened?"I vote for both.If the producers' mantra of "If you're dead you're dead" is to be trusted, then Sayid isn't Sayid just like Locke isn't Locke. True, but who else could be inhabiting Sayid's body?Wouldn't seem like Jacob would wake up saying "what just happened".I vote for both.If the producers' mantra of "If you're dead you're dead" is to be trusted, then Sayid isn't Sayid just like Locke isn't Locke. That's the Man in Black. Jacob's nemesis. I do appreciate the producers answering one long-standing question. Now we know who the Smoke Monster is.So who the hell is Locke/Smoke Monster?
I dunno. Sahid? Maybe the magical water kicked in?True, but who else could be inhabiting Sayid's body?Wouldn't seem like Jacob would wake up saying "what just happened".I vote for both.If the producers' mantra of "If you're dead you're dead" is to be trusted, then Sayid isn't Sayid just like Locke isn't Locke. Yea, I guess that's probably as good as we get with that. I'd like to know how the hell he becomes that, but I suppose that's unlikely. We don't even know who he is.Now we know who the Smoke Monster is.
just a cliff hanger for the nerds.Wouldn't seem like Jacob would wake up saying "what just happened?"I vote for both.If the producers' mantra of "If you're dead you're dead" is to be trusted, then Sayid isn't Sayid just like Locke isn't Locke. I'm assuming we're going to find out a lot more about him (and probably Jacob too) this season.Yea, I guess that's probably as good as we get with that. I'd like to know how the hell he becomes that, but I suppose that's unlikely. We don't even know who he is.Now we know who the Smoke Monster is.
Especially since the original Jacob told Hugo to bring Sayid to the temple. Since he knew he was dead, he knew he needed another vessel to inhabit.True, but who else could be inhabiting Sayid's body?Wouldn't seem like Jacob would wake up saying "what just happened".I vote for both.If the producers' mantra of "If you're dead you're dead" is to be trusted, then Sayid isn't Sayid just like Locke isn't Locke.
