This is from the six leaked pages of the finale script. After reading those, I'm even more convinced it's fake.At least I hope, because what's on those pages seems to be laughably bad.
Nope, not implying it ties it up nicely. I don't know exactly what MIB was thinking at every turn. What I am trying to say is that in a couple seconds I was able to come up with reasonable explanations for things people were talking about as not making sense at all.Also, for your question, don't forget that MIB's #1 goal was to kill Jacob. Widmore, Ben, Locke, Jack, etc. were all meaningless except to get Jacob killed. If Ben, who MIB was grooming to kill Jacob, wanted help from MIB after Alex is killed, do you think MIB would help him? Of course he would and now he also has the image of Alex, which MIB used, to keep Ben on the path to kill Jacob. So, attacking Widmore's team after killing Alex was actually instrumental to MIB's plan since he used the image of Alex to accomplish his plan. Make sense now?Bugs, you are implying that this ties up neatly - and I am not sure it does - it may tie up but loosely at best.If MIB wanted Widmore's group gone why wait until they are attacking Ben? Reads pretty much what I expect a Lost script to read like. A lot of lines on the show are pretty cheesy.

I'm guessing it's a report from that.The earlier one was from that.This one, is for the FINALE, which hasn't been screened.

I don't doubt that those pages and call sheet came from the show.The only question is if they were planted as foilers.
Back in season 2 they leaked a fake script page online that was about zombies over running the island. This could be similar.
But I think I lean 90% that its legit.

One of the creators of LOST was on the Bill Simmons podcast.
Simmons asked him how does he think the ending will stack up and I'm paraphrasing here but the creator said
It depends on the type of fan you are. If you have a checklist of questions that you are waiting to be answered, you are probably going to be disappointed. If you are a fan who is just enjoying the ride and not asking lots of questions, you will like the ending.
Just an FYI. Sounds like they'll be leaving a lot of stuff open ended

1st...I disagree its gone downhill much.2nd...my defense is simple...the writers have done pretty damn well on this show...despite your constant whining about it.3rd...people like you have been claiming they would chase off so many for how long now? And yet, people are still watching...and the series DVD will sell millions of copies.Its obvious the writers are a lot smarter than you and know what they are doing to create a hit TV show.

Well...my criticism is of your criticism...not of you personally.
I find your criticism to be basically whining and acting as if you could do better (as evidenced by the Egyptian gods post).
I find it quite humorous too that a person is that critical of a show and constantly saying what is bad about it...yet they keep watching it for years.

Here's the thing; I'm not that critical of the Lost writers, because I've generally been OK with what they've done. Have I loved everything they've done? No. But, overall, I've been quite happy with what they've produced over the past 6 years so I'm OK with not loving everything they've done and I have a reasonable amount of faith that they'll wrap it up to my satisfaction. If they don't, well that's my problem, now isn't it?The show, by definition, is complex. Even with a master plan, there are going to be loose ends since there's such a list of interconnected and intertwined stories. As I've stated many times, the central themes of the show are: fate vs. free will, good vs. evil and redemption. Hell, Charlie had the word "FATE" written on his hand in the pilot episode!Regardless of DHARMA, heiroglyphics and all that, these themes remained the same. If you're not OK with what they've done, that's your right. What I'm saying is that as long as the series ends and gives a reasonable conclusion (completely subjective based on my opinion) that has to do with those themes and the central characters, I'll be happy.I know you did it off the cuff, and my response was mostly in jest. But it also illustrated a point that even your most preferred/logical explanation would have a lot of holes that people would also question. This just in, you can't please everyone.You see, I don't think his powers come from the drink - I think the powers or whatever he has came from the incantation Mother performed before he drank. After watching the last episode....without knowing anything about the last 3.5 hours....I'd have done the following:
#1 Scrap the sideways flashes altogether
#2 Scrap Across The Sea (and possibly Ab Aeterno based on how much content needed to fulfill #3)
#3 Replace the above with:
a. Flashbacks to The Across The Sea story (more detail, less ambiguity).
b. More Widmore/Ben/Richard (and Desmond....something might have to be different about his special abilities though).
c. Possibly flashbacks to the Ab Aeterno story and maybe a few more "answers" that people crave mixed in. Ab Aeterno could stand alone though still.
I realize the sideways flashes are going to probably be an integral part of the finish, and they helped bring "back" characters, but I think it might have been better without them. I'm not disappointed by the season, I've enjoyed it alot. But I think this way would have been better AND it wouldn't alter a major plotline (besides the sideways flashes and maybe the overall end game), or even minor, that I can tell. It would actually have felt more like the early seasons, which some people in here think are so much greater than the last few seasons (I'm not one of them).

The whole script isn't leaked, just 6 pages from near the begining of the 2.5 hour episode.

Not to beat this thing but it is different - one is explained and one is not. Right now, the explanation is some crazy woman with no apparent source of power took a normal human being and elevated him to a God-like status (I think preventing people from commiting suicide half way around the world and the fountain of youth in his touch are God-like) by having him drink from an unexplained wine (or cantation or whatever).I'm not advocating my concept - it's more about what's wrong with what they are giving us - which is nothing (thus far).I know people have stated some of that may yet to be explained - I personally hope we don't visit the origin of Jacob and MIB again - because I don't think there is a payoff.Happy watching tonight.

Essentially since Jack is now like Jacob, MIB will have to find a loophole now to kill Jack. MIB's only way out now is to destroy the island because there is now another protector of the island.

I agree. If they had moved last week's episode earlier in the season and gone with this episode right after Sayid, Sun and Jin died they would be on a major roll heading into the finale. Instead, we had the speed bump episode last week that knocked the momentum out of whack. Good thing they got back on track tonight.

Tonight was a great episode. But I think I missed the segment where Jack, Sawyer, and Kate asked Jacob what is significant about the light, why couldn't people find it before, what happens if/when it is extinguished, etc and so on? And where Jack asked Jacob if he will grow old while performing the job or will it take centuries, or can he leave the island like Jacob did when he was recruiting candidates?
If Jack is successful in killing badlocke, why will he still need to hang around and protect the light... from whom?
Looking forward to see how the timelines work out.

I think Jack figured out when Jacob told him that he'd do this job as long as he could that this would be the last job he was ever going to have. I don't think we're ever going to learn how Jacob was able to leave the island (major question that was posed week that shouldn't have been) but I'm fine with this explanation as far as Jack realizing he now is part of the island and whatever world existed for him before has now ceased to exist. It's been his destiny all along.

I think the other timeline that Desmond saw, lived through via The Constant is this timeline.
