**** OFFICIAL **** LOST - The TV Series (1 Viewer)

Someone please explain Sawyer murdering the frog and what the heck it has to do with anything. We already knew he was a heartless ****. They wasted half a show on that crap.

the third symbol isn't exactly on that chart though. If however you look at as either a I or E on top of a K or R or even D or C then it's possible that the symbol on that square is actually two letters.

We're goning to need some screen caps of those images. I saw a bird.
I am working on it.Don't go anywhere. :)
I was going to guess it spelled Dharma (sp), but it isn't enough letters.
...Be sure to drink your ...Oval-tine?!?
:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: Literally lol'd at that.

So who was the guy that played the US intelligence officer? He looked ridiculously familiar, but the beard threw me off. I'm picturing a very unpleasant character in something...

The clock after it hit 000:00...000:00
So the first two digits never stopped spinning (at least in frame) so there is no way to know what they were. The 3rd and 4th digit do not correspond with anything on the chart attached.

However, the 4th digit is clearly on the chart, as the letter "A".

So we don't really know anything more. :)
Not true. The first digit stops on "S", according to the mapping between glyphs and letters. [i paused my TiVo.]The third is somewhat similar to "I".
You're right.I went back and watched it on my TV and you can see the symbol marked as "S" on the chart.

Unfortunately my screen captures are so small, I didn't get as clear a look as on my TV.

And I agree about the 3rd character, but I was trying to go with exact matches. And the "I" and "E" seem the same to me.

So we have S ? I A ? ... or ... S ? E A ?

?
The third character looks like I or E over CH or SH

any significance in the flip flop of the symbols colors? First 3 have a black background, second ones have a red.

should those letter be read left to right or right to left ?
Ding! I didn't even consider that...
How to read Hieroglyphs

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

When we read English, we read from left to right, in a straight line. Hieroglyphics are written in rows or columns and can be read from left to right, right to left, or top to bottom. The key to reading hieroglyphics is to look at the animals or humans. These always face the direction the line should be read from. For instance, if all the animals are facing right, it should be read from right to left. If all the animals are facing left, it should be read from left to right. The picture below would be read from left to right, since all the animals are facing left.

Sometimes there are two or more pictures on top of one another. If this happenes, the top picture is always read before the bottom.

Why are some black and the others red? Thanks for the caps guys. I'm heading to bed, if someone can figure this out by the time I wake up tomorrow that would be great.

also in Earth2 along with the very hawt Rebecca Gayheart.

Since no one has touched on this, did everyone see the look on the guy's (Henry?)face when Jack took Sayid away from beating him. Almost a look of triumph IMO.

Thats right as the dead sheriff who had his nexk torn off by a dog.

Type "s-ii-A-Z6" into this.  I cant find any documentation on the site, so I dont know what Z6 means.
Cool. Also, U29 is closer than ii.
 The top portion of it is "i", which looks to be a feather. U29 has an oval and a rectangle with sharp corners, neither of which are on the actual glyph.
Yeah, I see what you're saying, but the base of the ii doesn't look right.

If it helps, two tidbits I've picked up in poking around:These are probably meant to be read left to right: the bird faces left, whereas it would face the other direction if it were to be read the other direction.

The third character is probably Gardiner sign list code T34. The "space" between the three letters on the left and the two on the right could be interpreted as Gardiner Z1--a sign that usually indicated the character before it was to be taken to indicate the thing it depicted as an ideogram, rather than a phonetic value.

If this is the case, then T34 as it appears here should be interpreted to signify "knife."

Haven't yet stumbled across the meaning of the fifth character.

Just found the fifth character: Gardiner Z6. A determinative character--something typically used to clarify the meaning of what appears before it.The meaning of this one is "death."

This is, um, one ominous message.

Don't know if this has even been brought up, but why the freak didn't Sayid just ask the Other who the President of the US was? This is not rocket science here people. Ask current events. Duh!

This show is going :toilet:

So where did they establish the others had no communication with the outside world?I also dont think it would be very interesting to watch sayid ask a bunch of current events questions.

I think for season 3, I am not going to watch and just wait for the dvd to come out, so I can watch all the episodes at once. That is how I watched season 1. This is just killing me. I can't to find out what happens next.
 I'm doing that with 24 this season... I hear people talking and I run out the door screaming with my fingers in my ears.

Also the new character from Minn. was the owner of a mining co. of non metalic ore.

Non metalic ore sounds to me like, not affected by magnetic force fields.

Hey the show looks like it will go on farther than they thought. So, why not introduce a non magnetic expert?

Not to interrupt the Clancy Brown lovefest, which I admittedly participated in, but was I the only one thinking/hoping the tree frog Sawyer crushed is probably incredibly venomous and he's in for ride similar to the one Homer Simpson took when he ate all the insanity peppers?

I am thinking Hurley knows something about frogs. He knew it was poisonous.
