These baylor bigs have no self control
Yea Baylor definitely found their mismatch. They’re working him like a mule. They can use Timme in the post but can they really afford to keep him out there on the other end?? He's just too slow footed on that end and Baylor's exploiting it over and over (literally every trip down)
Yup, this game is over. Was from the start.Ball game.
Too athletic. And Gonzaga is never stopping that high screen with Timme.
They have to play zone the rest of the way and hope Baylor cools off - they have a better chance at rebounding now with the bigger two Bears out.Ball game.

Won't be surprised to see him playing in the NFL some day.Vital looks like a 35 year old NBA journeyman.
Yep. Probably the only shot. Zags have no alternative to Timme but he's no match to these level of athletes defensively. They have to play zone the rest of the way and hope Baylor cools off - they have a better chance at rebounding now with the bigger two Bears out.
Just remarkable.LOL at Zags continuing to switch on that screen. I mean - have you watched the first 30 minutes of this game?
Not sure what you can do. You go over, you're gonna get driven on. You go under, they'll shoot the 3. When they're stroking it like they are, you're kinda screwed.LOL at Zags continuing to switch on that screen. I mean - have you watched the first 30 minutes of this game?
Do what UVA does better than just about anybody - double the man with the ball fast. Not sure what you can do. You go over, you're gonna get driven on. You go under, they'll shoot the 3. When they're stroking it like they are, you're kinda screwed.
They tried that earlier with Timme hedging and they were getting burned with the screener diving to the basket.Do what UVA does better than just about anybody - double the man with the ball fast.
Yup, had a wide open look.Craig_MiamiFL said:Good lord that close out.
Seems like it spooked Kispert![]()
Two things they were not doing well, IMO. Trap it fast and the other 3 guys have to be ready to rotate. But Zags aren’t used to playing that way and it’s not easy to just change midstream during the final game of the season. Bears are just better.NutterButter said:They tried that earlier with Timme hedging and they were getting burned with the screener diving to the basket.
Almost sad to see it but pro teams want their players to take 2 types of shots - within 3-5 feet of the basket and 3 pointers. Analytics baby.I love Teague’s 8-17 foot game. This is largely missing in basketball these days.
Not to mention Baylor has other shooters so you have to be concerned about helping. Two things they were not doing well, IMO. Trap it fast and the other 3 guys have to be ready to rotate. Would be interesting to make mid-range shots worth 4, maybe for a week and see what happens.I love Teague’s 8-17 foot game. This is largely missing in basketball these days.
Agree but the idea is to trap it so fast and pressure the man with the ball that they don’t have a clean pass. Either you get a turnover or make them make a tough pass or one outside of the offense which gives them time to recover. Not to mention Baylor has other shooters so you have to be concerned about helping.
Didn't UNLV beat duke by like 100Wasn't listening super closely, but did they say they couldn't remember a championship where one team dominated from the start like this? In 2009, UNC led Michigan State 34-11 at one point in the 1st half.

I think that's another factor. These are some fast guards. It’s a moot point - Bears too fast

Wanted to see Few get a title. Amazing what he's done for years now with the Gonzaga program.Really wanted Zags to finish off the perfect season but Baylor was just too good.
