**OFFICIAL** Minnesota vs Chicago (1 Viewer)

Vikes fan who drafted Ponder in my dynasty league.

So glad I didn't turn off the game. It's been a long night.

Waldman had Ponder as #2 pro ready QB. Looks good so far.

they should take Cutler out at this point... no sense risking your starting QB with a 29 pt lead midway through the 4th

If Cutler gets hurt throwing the ball when they are 29 points up then I will have no sympathy.

Ponder is really quick in the pocket. I like how he extends plays and keeps his eyes down field.

I'd like to see his deep ball. So far a lot of slants, curls and out routes.

How MIN can go series without giving ADP touches is ludicrous. That was the 2nd or 3rd series that happened.
3 n out hardly qualifies as a real series........
Yeah, well why not give it to him on 2nd and 1?
Dunno....maybe because the Bears have sold out against the run so that he's averaging barely 3 ypc, coupled with the fact that McNabb has actually been fairly efficient...and oh yeah...they're losing by 26 points in the late 3rd qtr. You're obviously a disgruntled ADP owner.
I am an AD owner and playing against him in my other league. I wasnt speaking from a fantasy perspective, just a general football perspective and getting pts on the board. They shouldnt just run it 3 times and hope for a first, but mix it some runs with play action and run on situations like, 2nd and 1. Give him the touches that maintain the drive so you have a good shot at a TD instead of a 3 and out.Not a disgruntled owner at all, BTW. AD did just enough for my team to give me a 22pt lead now with my opponent only having Holmes and Bush left. In the league Im playing against him (and Forte), I have less than a point lead and have Holmes going for me tomorrow. It was a tough night rooting wise, but everything seems to have worked out nicely :banned:

Ponder has looked absolutely terrific (especially for his first action working with backups). This kid is going to make some waves.

I know I'm behind on time, watching this on Tivo, and this has not much to do with the game itself, but seriously Chicago bears? You parade out on national TV, a freaking Air Force general that's a career staff weenie when you could've found any one (or more) of thousands of guys or girls that have given real blood for thier country and honored them? Seriously? Total classless move :hot:

Sorry for the hijack.
Cool story, brocephus.

Yeah, he had very good pocket presence for his first regular season NFL snaps vs a decent D

He gets into his drop quickly, and seems to know how long to stand put until the last moment. Never seemed nervous.

Thanks Homer!

I don't think the minnesota coaches will start ponder next week. Why? They pulled ADP and harvin when it seemed ponder was actually starting to move the ball. To me it seems like they want to make it clear that it's garbage time, and avoid QB controversy.

Leslie Frazier is starting to look like Mike Singletary 2.0 (not surprising considering Sing is on the staff)... Why in the world is Percy Harvin not returning kickoffs when he barely plays 75% of the snaps? Why is ADP virtually non-existent as a pass catcher? Ponder will probably be an upgrade for all vikings skill players, but that probably makes too much sense for the vikings coaches to pull off.

Fraizer seems hesitant to fess up to McNabb not being the answer. As bad as Chilly was at least he seemed to know tha DM was washed up.

I really think McNabb taking that sack on the second and short play when he was well outside the pocket and had ample opportunity to throw it away was the last straw for him in Minnesota. Let the Ponder era commence.

C'mon guys. It's called rebuilding. Vikings are about to be 1-5 with Donovan McNabb at the helm.
It's still a stupid and utterly preposterous statement to make. They still have to sell tickets, jerseys, and all the other crap that I waste my money on.This isn't a dynasty league or baseball. Teams do not have roster spots or development leagues to constantly build talent. You don't sell off the core guys just because of the lack of talent at other positions is a major liability. Other guys can go if they feel the need to develop. I'd think you're just a grumpy All Day owner, but some local rubes have been parroting this terrible line of logic as well. They said the same about Garnett.

Agree. It's gotta be a fine line that a coach has to walk between building for sustainability and winning every game now. If Ponder plays now, does well and they have a QB for several years then the Fraizer gets blasted for not putting him in 2-3 games ago. If he stinks or just plain isn't ready yet, and they continue on the current path to stinkiness then he's probably in the unemployment line at or by the end of the year.Ponder looked decent in mop up duty down by 3 TDs. We'll see as things move forward and DC's have game film to look at and scheme for. I hope CP = CN and he turns Berrian into Sidney Rice circa 2009.But I have to believe Fraizer and his staff are better judges of talent than me and had some rational reason for going with McNabb.
