Week 16 2024 who should I start thread **OFFICIALLY OFFICIAL** (1 Viewer)

Flex

Tyjae Spears or Amari Cooper ?

PPR
Do you have ANYONE else?

It sounds like Pollard will go. Spears may see more touches with Pollard being dinged up. Spears may see 5 touches.
Cooper has been objectively awful since going to Buffalo.
Kyle Pitts, WanDale Robinson are on the wire.
I had Nojoku but he’s questionable.
I think you just gotta hitch your wagon to the best QB and hope for the best in this situation.

Josh Allen is the best QB obviously. Start Cooper and hope it's his day.
Ok. I’m making the switch from Spears to Amari. Thanks for the suggestion.

.5 PPR - Two different leagues needing one Flex in each.

  1. Chubba vs AZ OR Higgins vs CLEV

  2. Tyreek vs SF or London vs NYG
Higgins over Chuba. I like Chuba and it's a good matchup so if you're feeling it I could see a 20 touch game with a reasonable shot at a TD (I think Carolina could win)

However Burrow is playing so well, Higgins has been pretty darn good and it's a great matchup. I go with Higgins.

I lean Tyreek over London because, Tyreek has been good enough and we know a lot more about Tua than we do about Penix. I personally imagine that the Falcons want to run the ball a lot and play good defense. Whether or not that happens is anyone's guess but I think that is what they would like to do.

Tyreek.

Standard scoring in the flex spot:

Patrick @ Miami
Miller @ GB

Separate league standard scoring as well. RB Question:

BRob vs Eagles
Ford @ Cincy
Hall vs LAR

TIA 🎄🎄🎄
I'm going with Kendre over Taylor for a lot of reasons. Mostly because he isn't the Saints fourth option. His issues, as I understand it are more related to how much time he spent on the trainers table. Looks like he is ready to play.

I can definitely make an argument for Ford in a great matchup with no one really stealing touches and I am very tempted to say go with him. It's just difficult, psychologically to bench Hall.

But yeah, I might go with Ford.

PPR league
Kincaid vs New England
Njoku at Cincy
Ferguson vs Tampa Bay

Strange was just picked up. Do I stick with Kincaid or drop him for Njoku or Ferguson? I am a slight favorite. Thanks!
I'm personally going with Njoku in this situation. The matchup is so good and I can hope that DTR looks for him a lot as a safety valve.

I need one as my PPR RB3:

Stevenson vs. Bills
Pollard vs. Colts
Kendre Miller vs. Packers
If Pollard is playing I would probably start him. The Titans clearly favor him over Spears and he sees good volume and has been remarkably productive on a bad team. It's also the best matchup on paper.

0.5 PPR Flex:

K Miller vs GB
Thielen vs AZ
Jonnu Smith vs SF

Lean Kendre, but think it's close across the board.

Miller. I just don't know what to expect with Taylor. He's like their 5th RB. Will Abanikanda take a lot of the touches? Purdy has been rough of late as well.

Kendre is a really talented back that they drafted with plans of giving him the ball. I think the Saints will want to lean on the run, and bad QB's tend to dump it off.

I can't trust Ford after he burnt me so many times early in the season. I have zero hopes for DTR keeping the offense on track, even against a bad Bengals defense.

Eagles are one of the toughest defense for your fantasy RB to go against. (Rank 31st in FPPG given up.)

Give me Breece.

Non-PPR. I currently have Njoku and Strange as my TE options. Has also been considering Okonkwo, but then I just realized Ertz was dropped and is now considered likely to play.

Assuming all of them play, how would you rank these options?

Njoku @ Cinci
Ertz vs Philly
Chig @ Indy
Strange @ LV
I can't imagine going with Chig after one game of semi-relevance. Ertz faces the best defense in the NFL. Strange also had one game out of nowhere. I like him more than Chig or Ertz for sure but it's not much to go on.

I probably go with Njoku mostly because of the matchup and hope he becomes DTR's safety net. He's also the best athlete of your options IMO.
That’s where I’ve landed. Njoku if he plays. Ertz if he doesn’t. In non-PPR, TDs matter most of all (Strange’s “breakout” game last week was only 7.3 pts in my league). Ertz is clearly the best red zone option of the three. Also he was just officially announced as being active today
Njoku active. LFG!!!!!!!!!

PPR
Conner is my first starter RB
Second is tough pick"
Kendre Miller NOS @ Green Bay
or
Patrick Taylor SF @ Miami
or
Tyrone Tracy NYG @ Atlanta

I have the pollard vs Miller problem. Only issue for me is Pollard has been banged up and missed snaps last week. With Miller theoretically being a 100% (he hasn’t really played) I feel like he’s the safer bet.

0.5 ppr, pick a flex

D. Metcalf vs Min
T. Etienne @ LV
B. Strange @ LV

I've got DK in, but I really want to pull him for Strange and need to be talked out of it.

Last minute advice.

Standard scoring non-PPR league. I need to start two of these players:

Walker vs MIN - back to full health, but Charbs is captain and will get more playing time.

Charbs vs Min - See above, will they ease Walker back in? Are both potential sits today?

JSN vs MIn - hard to sit even in a non-PPR league

Stevenson vs BUF - I don’t like the matchup and potential game script even though BUF can be run upon.

Miller @ GB - Game script could be an issue here as well.

Thanks for the quick replies as usual!

Simple DTS question....

MIN @ SEA
or
SEA vs MIN

On paper, MIN is the play. But, I have a sneaky feeling SEA might cause some problems for Darnold and company today. MIN has had rough games in SEA in the past few years, SEA is (mostly) healthy on both sides of the ball (healthy offense should help the defense in theory), SEA needs the win, and maybe it's just my skepticism as a MIN fan.

0.5 PPR Flex:

K Miller vs GB
Thielen vs AZ
Jonnu Smith vs SF

Lean Kendre, but think it's close across the board.
IDK Jonnu has been on an absolute tear for five weeks now. Hard to bench him. In full PPR I might go with Thielen but personally I might continue to roll with Jonnu until he demonstrates you shouldn't.

PPR

Thielen vs Arz
Downs vs Tenn
Shakir vs NE
In full PPR I probably risk it with Thielen myself.

Downs could see a lot of looks but they won't be high quality coming from Richardson.

Shakir is a great option in PPR and there is nothing wrong with going with the best QB on the best offense. Even if the TDs have been incredibly scarce.

PPR
Conner is my first starter RB

Kendre Miller NOS @ Green Bay
or
Patrick Taylor SF @ Miami
or
Tyrone Tracy NYG @ Atlanta
I've been leaning Tracy over Miller and Taylor a few times in here. Better matchup and better known commodity IMO.

Nothing wrong with Miller over Pollard. I just feel it's a tougher matchup and he doesn't look to have much support.

I can totally dig where you are coming from. I probably stick with Metcalf too because I am unsure what to make of Strange's usage last week. Looks so much like an aberration but it's hard not to chase that.

I'm Walker & JSN pretty strongly. I think the stack is a good thing here.

Walker, IMO is still 1a over Charbonnet and JSN does look like the #1 WR in Seattle. Better team in an important game.

LOL

Yes.

Probably Minnesota. I think I had a dream last night where they got nine sacks on Geno. True story.

But I was pretty drunk yesterday so...

Four RBs. Can only choose two:

Jonathan Taylor
Chuba Hubbard
Bucky Irving
Rico Dowdle

I've got Taylor and Irving as my starters at the moment. But Hubbard is gnawing at me...
I'm actually going to rank Hubbard #1. Arizona gives up the 7th most FPPG to RB's. Bryce has figured something out, and the Carolina offense has been more competent of late. Most websites have Chubba as a top 10 play, and I agree.

All 3 of the other options are really good too. I'd be happy starting any of the 3.

I think Taylor's just the best RB on the list. It's a silly thing to base your playoff decisions on--but I truly believe they'll try to get Taylor a makeup TD for last week's mistake.

Bucky has the 2nd best matchup. Dallas gives up the 8th most FPPG to RB. I just worry about White taking enough touches to be annoying--vs Taylor is pretty much gonna see all of the work.
Thanks. I did start Taylor and Hubbard 🙏🏻. For once, I finally made the right Start/Sit decisions!

Irving had a respectable day, but not close to the others.

Assuming Conner plays tomorrow, which TWO do you guys start of these 3? Full PPR.

Deebo v DET
Nabers v IND
Conner @ LAR

Purdy is my QB. Made the “mistake” of starting Charbs last night - in a bit of a hole.

Thanks dudes

Deebo, flip a coin on the other two.
Good luck( I also started Charbs)

Nabers slotted for my last WR but he is questionable. Have Wicks on the bench but Coleman, Pierce, Lazzard, and Slayton all available on ww. Think Slayton is playable if Nabers is inactive?
