Week 16 2024 who should I start thread **OFFICIALLY OFFICIAL** (1 Viewer)

A kicker question. Yes...a kicker question...random number generators.

* T. Bass vs NE -- Going to be frigid, but BUF is going to score points. BUF favored by 14. Solid floor with PATs, maybe a FG or two. Probably no 50+ FGs with temps 10-15 degrees.

or

* B. McManus vs NO -- Similar situation. GB heavy favorites. Warmer in GB (30 ish), but could have some snow.

I got nothin' on logic here. Flip a coin?

Thanks

No PPR. Just yards and TD's. No TE required... Start 3 WR/TE from this group....

K Allen CHI vs DET
Flowers BAL vs PIT
Deebo SF @ MIA
McBride ARI @ CAR
J Smith MIA vs SF

Am I crazy if I sit Deebo and Flowers? Deebo is under 3 pts in this format in 4 of the last 5 weeks, and hasn't hit double digits since Week 6. I really have no reason to believe this week will be any different. Flowers hasn't hit double digits since Week 9, and really didn't do much last time versus PIT (he was saved by a TD, but only had 2/39). Lamar struggles against PIT in general (1-4 in last 5), but I don't necessarily know if that means he'll have to throw more possibly?

Meanwhile, Jonnu has hit double digits in four of the last five weeks, and Allen has in three of the last four. I expect Allen to have another big game against the depleted DET defense (assuming DET will still score and CHI will be trying to catch up). And, McBride, despite no TD's this year, has been consistently decent in this format.

Any reason to start Flowers over on of the three in bold?

Pick 1 for flex. PPR scoring.

RB Bucky Irving @ DAL
WR Zay Flowers vs PIT
WR DeVonta Smith @ WAS

I'd go with McBride, Smith, and Flowers.

Flowers is due.

Need to pick 2 running backs. PPR, League scoring tilts heavily towards rushing yards.

Walker vs Minnesota
Stevenson at Buffalo
Tracy at Atlanta
K Miller at Green Bay

Thanks!

Have one more..must start a rookie every week in one flex/kicker spot.

.5 PPR

J. McMillan vs Dal
T. Tracy vs ATL
C. Little vs LV (kicker)

Hey guys! Need more help!
Goff vs Bears - monster game last week
Hurts vs Commies - could be a shootout

Full PPR pick any 2:
Ford vs Cincy - Bengals struggle against RBs
Tyreek vs 49ers - heā€™s burned me almost all year
DJ Moore vs DET - Lions are depleted everywhere and can be had thru the air
McMillan vs Cows - my opponent is starting Baker
MHjr vs Panthers - not expecting much

Our defenses score a lot of pts in our league. 25+ pts for low pts/yds allowed.
Packers vs Saints - Rattler was better when he came in for Haener last week
Cardinals vs Panthers - not sure I trust the Cards

PPR
McLaurin vs Philly
or
Kupp at NYJ
Zero good choices, I like TMcā€™s chances at a positive game script. PHI should lead & WAS should be playing catch up.

Even if not, WAS takes more deep shots to McLaurin than LAR does with Kupp these days.

Kinda coin flippy, but thatā€™s how Iā€™d play it.

Four RBs. Can only choose two:

Jonathan Taylor
Chuba Hubbard
Bucky Irving
Rico Dowdle

I've got Taylor and Irving as my starters at the moment. But Hubbard is gnawing at me...

... and my Wide Receivers. They have been the weak link in my fantasy season. A. Cooper, C. Ridley, D. Mooney.... hell, even Kupp screwed me over last week. Lots of losses attributed to a lot of mediocre ā€” if not awful ā€” performances. So I gutted them and landed on these:

Kupp (kept him)
Addison
McMillan
Doubs
Jeudy (missed his huge week 14)

Kupp, Addison, and Jeudy occupy my starting lineup. But McMillan I hear is on fire recently. But I'm hesitant to start him, because I tend to "miss the boat", and my waiver acquisitions cool-off when I acquire and first start them.

Any thoughts? Thanks! šŸ™šŸ»

I agree. GB has a little more trouble getting in the end zone and I don't have stats to back it up, but feels like Buffalo goes for it on 4th down more than avg.

Standard scoring. Flex oneā€¦.Ford @ cincy. Tracy @ atl. McMillan @ dal. Was leaning Ford. Now that Otten wonā€™t play, does that create more opportunities in a good offense vs Ford and Tracy who will both be lead backs for teams with backup quarterbacks that may not even be able to move the ball?
Tough calls. Personally I think McMillan is pretty high variance so I would lean towards the RB. Both have good matchups but I lean Ford because it's a better one and he doesn't have the same potential TD vulture that Tracy does in Singletary. I also think the ATL defense is going to play with a little more energy with Penix at QB.
Thank you very much. New developmentā€¦I was able to grab Kendre Miller off the wire. With Kamara out, would you start Ford or Miller? Thanks again!

Definitely Ford. Cinci is a dream matchup, and I think you want to avoid that dumpster fire of a NO offense

Non-PPR. I currently have Njoku and Strange as my TE options. Has also been considering Okonkwo, but then I just realized Ertz was dropped and is now considered likely to play.

Assuming all of them play, how would you rank these options?

Njoku @ Cinci
Ertz vs Philly
Chig @ Indy
Strange @ LV

ppr need 2 of these Malik Nabers Vs Atlanta Johnathen Taylor Vs Tenn Brock Bowers vs Jax thanks for any opinions you guys are the best

right now Im leaning Nabers and Taylor (but Taylor feels like a 10 point play) Feel like they may try to get Bowers TE record today at home??? so considering him over taylor?

I still think Ford. That matchup is just so much better than being on the road in Green Bay.

I can't imagine going with Chig after one game of semi-relevance. Ertz faces the best defense in the NFL. Strange also had one game out of nowhere. I like him more than Chig or Ertz for sure but it's not much to go on.

I probably go with Njoku mostly because of the matchup and hope he becomes DTR's safety net. He's also the best athlete of your options IMO.

FBG Bowl, need upside as I'm in 80th place or so.

Starters

Gibbs/Jones/Nabers/Wilson/Kittle

Pick 3

My current choices

Dowdle vs TB - Don't see a compelling reason not to start him.
Jameson @ Chicago - Been waiting all months for another huge game. Lions have to be pissed after getting rolled by Buffalo. Money out.
McMillian @ Dallas - Been hot, Otton out.

Ford @ Cinny - This is who FBG says to start. Guy has been a huge disappointed when he's the lead dog.
Watson vs NO - FBG has him higher than McMillain, doesn't get much volume. Monday night bullet
MVS, Chards, Mostert - Not really considering
Dowdle, ford, McMillian

Since it looks like O'Connell is going to play for the Raiders I bench Nabers. Bowers will see similar usage, if not more, and he has a much better rapport with O'Connell than Nabers with any of the remaining NYG QBs.

I wouldn't bench Taylor for many players ATM. I think he's going to see 20 touches, at home against a bad D v RBs and I think he is going to bring his big mistake from last week like a massive chip on his shoulder. At least that's what I hope.

Brock Purdy @ Miami or Cooper Rush vs TB?
Wow.

Purdy is probably the right choice. I think with Patrick Taylor as the last RB standing more of the offense will shift to Purdy. He also has a deeper WR corps than Rush.

That being said I would still be tempted to risk it with Rushd.

Better chance of a FG in divisional games IMO.

Flip a coin. My impulse is McManus.

Then again I'm the guy trying to abolish the kicker in my primary league. It's a position with zero predictive value.

I don't think you're crazy to sit either. Flowers had a nice game but that still doesn't make it the wrong decision to bench him.

I like your choices.

Thatā€™s where Iā€™ve landed. Njoku if he plays. Ertz if he doesnā€™t. In non-PPR, TDs matter most of all (Strangeā€™s ā€œbreakoutā€ game last week was only 7.3 pts in my league). Ertz is clearly the best red zone option of the three. Also he was just officially announced as being active today

Thanks. Yes, it's not a good situation, but I feel Rush has a chance to score a lot of points against that porus pass defense. I know Purdy has had some bad luck with weather, but he might have the higher floor. Being the underdog I feel Rush has the higher upside today.
