Q: Name the only player in MLB to have a homer off of both Chapman and Kimbrel.
A: Eric Kratz

Ball washer?Operate concession stand?Move back to pitcher? For some reason known but to God, the Mets signed Rick Ankiel to a Major League contract.
First guy pictures is current Nationals pitching coach and resident old ballplayer curmudegeon Steve McCatty.Red Sox fans will enjoy this.
Edit: NSFW-ish if your employer frowns upon you looking at washed-up ball players sans uniforms.

It took maybe 12 hours tops for the staff to make T-shirts. Here's Gio wearing his.

Gonna need to see a video of that.Anthony Gose just scored from 2nd on a passed ball.
From phone but this should work.@BlueJays: Want to see Anthony Gose score from second on a passed ball? Of course you do: http://t.co/beWhmXtgPk #LoveThisTeamGonna need to see a video of that.Anthony Gose just scored from 2nd on a passed ball.

DAMN close!! Even breaking it down frame by frame it's hard to tell. But it seems at worst it was a tie, and a good call. (sorry for the terrible links, on my phone)dparker713, on 24 May 2013 - 09:43, said:

I like the aggressiveness. Piss-poor tag by Wieters allowed him to be safe, though.Northern Voice said:From phone but this should work.@BlueJays: Want to see Anthony Gose score from second on a passed ball? It's an okay (not great) play with a 2 run lead, IMO. If they were trailing or tied, I'd agree it's really dumb. I'm just worried what Brett Lawrie will try to do to one up him.the moops said:That was a stupid play actually. He is probably out at least 50% of the time.
It's the throw that sucked, Casilla triple pumped on a 50 foot throw and still sailed it too high for the tag.Billy Bats said:DAMN close!! Even breaking it down frame by frame it's hard to tell. Looks like he might get him here, but even so, Gose has his hand in:[url=[url=http://www.flickr.com/photos/27591688@N04/8803324409/"]"]http://www.flickr.com/photos/27591688@N04/8803324409/%22%5D"%5D[url=http://www.flickr.com/photos/2...://www.flickr.com/photos/27591688@N04/8803324http://www.flickr.com/photos/27591688@N04/8803324409/%22%5D"]http://www.flickr.com/photos/27591688@N04/8803324

eta: sorry links are a mess ill fix them later when I'm off my phone
Yup, and Weiters throw to second didn't help either. Why even bother with the runner on third? It's the throw that sucked, Casilla triple pumped on a 50 foot throw and still sailed it too high for the tag.Billy Bats said:DAMN close!! Gose just about in, but Weiters still doesnt have him
Weiters might finally have him here, too late.
eta: links fixed
Because if he threw out Bautista the inning would be over? Why even bother with the runner on third?
None out, which makes Gose's decision more questionable.Because if he threw out Bautista the inning would be over? Why even bother with the runner on third?
Didn't take him too long. Did he go bazeerk on the umpire? It's an okay (not great) play with a 2 run lead, IMO. If they were trailing or tied, I'd agree it's really dumb. Not really. He didn't say anything after the AB although he did complain after the 2nd strike (which was clearly high). After the K, he dropped his bat and helmet, started walking towards 3rd and threw his batting gloves back towards the plate and got tossed. Not really warranted IMO.Didn't take him too long. Wow he's been that bad, huh?I guess the bottom finally fell out on BJ Upton. Benched for the 2nd day in a row...when the Braves could use a DH nonetheless.

A real one? Link?LOL @ Maholm throwing an eephus to Jose Bautista.
62mph is too fast for a true Eephus. I saw the replay. The pitch didn't have any extreme arc to it; it just looked like a slow curveball. Bautista got all of it though.A real one? Link?LOL @ Maholm throwing an eephus to Jose Bautista.
Correct, it was a slow curve.62mph is too fast for a true Eephus. I saw the replay. The pitch didn't have any extreme arc to it; it just looked like a slow curveball. Bautista got all of it though.A real one? Link?LOL @ Maholm throwing an eephus to Jose Bautista.
Seems like kind of a dumb argument. Ackley's plate discipline was his calling card when he progressed rapidly through the Mariners' minor league system. He had more BB than SO at every level.
Looks like he fooled him with the pitch too. But it was so damn slow that Bautista was able to recover. It also was right over the middle of the plate62mph is too fast for a true Eephus. most rookie pitchers arent. I dont bother with them anymoreHoly crap....Gausman isn't ready...dropped
I don't mind growing pains but holy cow not even a strikeout from a guy that throw 99 against a lineup with no Harper, no Espinoza?Holy crap....Gausman isn't ready...dropped
To be fair, the probability of a strikeout likely dropped with Espinosa out of the lineup.Smack Tripper said:I don't mind growing pains but holy cow not even a strikeout from a guy that throw 99 against a lineup with no Harper, no Espinoza?rascal said:Holy crap....Gausman isn't ready...dropped
Usually don't either, with Odorizzi drawing the Marlins and watching Gausman pitch last week I gave it a dice roll. Snake eyes. Oh well. Roberto Hernandez and Shaun Marcum draw the fish this week, hope they can bring me back a bit.shadyridr said:most rookie pitchers arent.
