***Official MLB 2013 Season Thread (1 Viewer)

Jean Segura just "advanced" from 2nd base to 1st base.
So, he stole 2nd. Then got cut in a rundown getting back to 2nd with Braun already there. The Cubs tagged Segura and Braun and Segura ran to 1st. Braun was called out and Segura safe. Then he tried to steal 2nd for the 2nd time and was thrown out.

Anyone's fall from grace comparable to Ubaldo's?
Zambrano?
I think Kazmir's pretty similar. Kazmir only had 1 200 IP season, but he had a 3 year stretch that was about a dominant as Ubaldo's 2 year stretch.

He also fell even earlier. He was great, then his career was essentially over around age 25.
Jason Schmidt's demise came very fast.
He got hurt

I thought that was Robbie Alomar Jr.

Cashner gets the emergency start with Clayton Richard calling in sick. Cashner is hitting 97 on the gun. We'll see for how long.

I assume RaiderNation is busy, so....Browns open up a huge lead with a Frank Ryan screen pass to Jim Brown for a TD.
Two things:

1) Gotta wait until it's a final score, otherwise the box score makes no sense to people seeing this hours later.

2) Call me "RN" like everyone else who's known me for ten years.

Over and out.

Vernon Wells seems to be having a lot of fun with the Jays fans in left field this series, he's been joking with them and tipped his cap a couple times. One of the classiest guys in the league IMO, good to see him playing along with the fans who have no real reason to boo him but are anyway.

It would be unseemly for me to post in the Dodgers thread but it's pretty incredible how LA has burned through their starting pitching depth in less than a month.

On opening day, they had Kershaw, Beckett, Greinke, Ryu Hyun-Jin and Billingsley with Harang and Capuano as MLB quality depth and Lilly working his way into shape. They're now reduced to starting non-prospect Stephen Fife and hoping Lilly doesn't have any rehab setbacks before his turn comes up. They've traded away Allen Webster and Rubby De La Rosa and have no MLB ready talent on the farm other than Fife. Zach Lee is still young but is looking like a bust considering his draft position and $5M signing bonus.

Breaks my heart.

And Nate Eovaldi.

Mother Nature continues to wreak havoc on the Rockies homestand as Monday's game was postponed.

It will be made up as part of a split doubleheader Tuesday with the first game at 1:10 p.m., followed by the regularly scheduled game at 6:40 p.m.
