*** OFFICIAL NFC CHAMPIONSHIP : LA Rams vs NO Saints *** (1 Viewer)

Some Saints fans gotta be the biggest sore losers in all of sports. If this missed call happened on the last play of the game with time running out in the end zone, then I could see a grievance. But your coach had a chance after and his smug ### blew it.
 right, Philly fan?  You can't tell me there's one team's fanbase that wouldn't be absolutely losing their minds if they were in this scenario. It was literally for a trip to the Super Bowl.

I thought the lawsuit thing (there are at least a couple) was more funny than anything. A case of someone having more money than sense. Don't project that onto the entire fan base though. But at the same time, don't tell me that you or anyone else, if you are even remotely emotionally invested in your team succeeding, wouldn't be upset over this situation.

Agree that Philly fans would not be taking this any easier than Saints fan.  That's a guarantee.  Same goes with Steelers fans, Packers fans, Bears fans, etc.  I don't care what anyone says - what happened was a travesty and it was a single play that directly cost you guys the game.  Yes the Saints could have (should have?) still made plays to win the game but it doesn't take away the fact that the game was over.  It would take a very long time for me to get over that and I generally don't ##### about referees.

We got completely screwed in that Dallas game earlier this year but I don’t recall any Philly fans filing lawsuits and taking out billboards. Remember I said “SOME” fans. I’ll say it again—SOME Saints fans are taking “sore loser” to a new level.

Fair enough. To be fair, I don't watch all of Dallas' games so I'm not sure which one you are referring to from this year, but more to my point, there wasn't a trip to the Super Bowl riding on the line, or even a trip to the playoffs.  Nobody is arguing there aren't missed calls in every game of every sport that employs human officials.

And re: the billboards. The Falcons are probably our most bitter rivals, and have given us the most grief in recent years. I think it was as much a jab at the Falcon fanbase (decorating their city with Saints themed stuff) as anything. For me, filed (along with the lawsuits) under "has more money than sense"

I admit that I have not read this thread since the game ended, but wanted to ask a question. Has the egregious lack of PI call totally drowned out the fact that Coach Payton called not one, but two passes, both of which fell incomplete and left the Rams with over a minute of extra time and a time out to march down the field to tie the game in the 4th quarter?
I had a chance to watch the game again and boy this stuck out the second time around.

But was it really a "snoozer"?  The game was still in question with under 4 minutes to go.  Like usual, it was a very close game (albeit a defensive one).
It was a bit of a snoozer. I didn’t mind it, but the score wasn’t low because of great defense. Lots of bad offensive plays out there.

It was a combination of very good defense and poor execution on offense IMO.  Lethal combination that results in a 13-3 score.
