The thing is, none of us needed a replay to see that it was a bad call. There's not really reason the think helmet contact was made. But I know what you mean... Today's NFL just coddles players for fear of missing a call.

Aikman was wrong. It wasn't a clean hit to the head, but he did hit him in the head.

If he doesn't launch himself there is no flag.

If the refs are looking for penalties, might at least call facemask. James facemask was being fully grasped when he was on the ground. That appears to be the problem as well.
