One recent example I've seen that I hope is repeated by Sherman. Golden Tate thought he'd be super cool and taunt the Rams in their first game this year. He got an earful from Carroll on the sideline and whatever was said to him behind closed doors worked. Rate hasn't drawn that kind of negative attention to himself. Sure, he's been cocky at times, but no more than the average. Even when he had a huge game in week 17. So hopefully that experience can help Sherman keep his composure and think a little bit about whether he wants to be remembered for his play or his mouth. Already that's a hard task.
