 Rodgers to Dallas at 20?
No way.I stand by what I wrote earlier...Rodgers to the Raiders at 26.
We'll see, I know that Henson isn't the guy, they have Drew freaken Bledsoe right now, good for a year, 2 at max. It would be hard to pass up the guy at 20 when 2 weeks ago he was No.1 overall.
Unless you think Aaron Rodgers is going to lead Dallas to the SB this year or next year, I see no reason for Parcells to take Aaron Rodgers.
Parcells might not, but Jones who will be around longer than him might see the value in the pick. I'm not saying they will for sure, but eyebrows certainly have to be raised Chase.
He was #1 because he was signable and the draft was weak at the top. I don't see any benefit to the Cowboys in drafting him.

I can't believe I had to come to the Shark Pool just to find a little discussion.

Hi all!  Enjoying the draft?
What up Bent. What are you drinking this afternoon?
Chimay Blue right now. After that, I think all I have left around the house is Miller Light (leftover from last weekend's poker game) and homebrew. Situation is critical at the bentley house.
Miller Lite may have to do.

Houston (Carr) and Cincinnati (Palmer) are up. They both took QBs at 1.01 recently, and both have made first round trades recently (Cincinnati last year IIRC, Houston earlier today).

Does someone trade up for Rodgers now?
Maybe the 49ers take Rodgers at 2.01...and either trade Alex Smith or have them battle for the top position :boxing: .
Shades of the Troy Aikman/Steve Walsh 1989 battle for the future of the QB position of the Dallas Cowboys?

Maybe Miami or Tampa Bay trade back in for Rodgers?

I expect Tampa to make that move. Maybe in the 21-24 range.

I was thinking of the Keyshawn (1.01)/Alex Van Dyke (2.01) epic battle from 1996.

If Rodgers somehow lasts to 2.03, the folks in Miami are gonna feel stupid giving up that pick for Feeley last year. Of course, there's no way he gets past Cleveland at 2.02. IMHO, he goes late first.
Hey, why does Cleveland have the #2 pick in round two instead of Philly (via Miami)? Was there a MIA/CLE tie-break?
The Dolphins and Browns finished with identical 4-12 records. The Dolphins beat the Browns head to head as well, 10-7 in week 16.

Unfortunately, ties for draft position are resolved by strength of schedule, not head to head records. The Dolphins had a weaker schedule, so they picked at 1.02 and the browns picked at 1.03.

To make it even more confusing, they will rotate positions every round. That means the Browns get the 2.02 and the Dolphins get the 2.03. Then they revert to round 1 order in round 3. Then its the round 2 order in round 4, etc.

For fantasy purposes....

How long until the next RBs go?

And how long until Mark Clayton goes? Next WR after him?
Clayton - Baltimore?, Jones and Reggie Brown to follow in 1st round.I don't think we'll see another RB go until early to mid 2nd.

Bentley> Hi.
Too embarrassed to be in here with your real name?Johnson was a pretty damn good value right there.

As a Cowboys fan, the last thing I want is another stinkin' questionable quarterback. Also, Coach Purcells isn't exactly building for the future at this point.
Pretty much. Did you hear the Wendy's finger-chili lady got arrested? The headline on our local paper is "FINGERED!" :own3d:
:goodposting: Did they ever figure out where the ####### finger came from?

Who will take Rodgers?

9. Washington -- Seems doubtful. Defensive player or Mike Williams.

10. Detroit -- Don't see how they do that with Harrington and Garcia.

11. Dallas -- Parcells has had his fill of young QBs with question marks.

12. San Diego --- LOL

13. Houston -- Not a chance with Carr.

14. Carolina -- Very doubtful for a win now team.

15. Kansas City -- If they don't draft defense...

16. New Orleans -- Win now team. Don't think Rodgers fits their plans.

17. Cincinnati -- Not a chance with Palmer.

18. Minnesota -- Not a chance with Culpepper.

19. St. Louis -- Martz won't think that far ahead. Win now team.

20. Dallas -- See above re: Parcells

21. Jacksonville -- LOL

22. Baltimore -- They are SB contenders, they can't waste this pick.

23. Seattle -- They'd get eaten alive considering their D problems.

24. Green Bay -- Heir apparent for Favre is trendy, but they need so much D.

25. Washington -- Is it possible he slips this far?

26. Oakland -- I could see Oakland taking him, Collins is no long term answer.

27. Atlanta -- LOL

28. San Diego -- LOL

29. Indianapolis -- LOL

30. Pittsburgh -- LOL

31. Philadelphia -- LOL

32. New England -- LOL

Someone tell me what I'm missing here? I can't see more than one or two teams likely to take Rodgers.
Next team that seems even remotely possible is 22. Baltimore. Clearly no need at 17, 18 or 21, and I put little faith in 19 St. Louis or 20 Dallas spending the pick on a bench player when they have so many other needs. Rodgers is definitely free falling, but I'd wager he goes to Oakland at 26 still. Gibbs can't wait around that long for Rodgers.

What'll be interesting is if WAS really did trade up to 25 for Campbell, and both he and Rodgers are there.

If he's still there at 1.27, Miami should work a deal with Atlanta to be able to draft him. They have had some luck picking QBs at that spot. :P

If Dallas thinks Rodgers is a good QB, they should take him, if they don't have him rated very high, then pass. They need a QB for the future. Before this draft, I wanted to see them get Pollack at No.20 or trade this pick for a later 1st/very early 2nd and a 3rd round pick. There may be some teams who may want to trade up for that 20 spot if indeed Rodgers is still there. GB and Oakland better not get too comfortable, Jones will make a move in a minute for more draft picks.

I could see Dallas trading their other #1 for TB'S #2 (36) and maybe the lower of their #3s (91).

How bout if Philly trades up to 23, grabs Aaron, and grooms him to be traded/as a backup?Hes a perfect fit for their system, would give them a legit backup, and would be worth a 1st down the road.

Nope, but they determined that it wasn't cooked in with the chili, and it didn't belong to any of the employees of the Wendy's. Apparently she was also arrested for selling a mobile home that didn't belong to her. Oops.Wendy's business has dropped from 30-50% in the Bay Area, and the employees at that store have had their hours cut. Hopefully they lock this wench up.

I think the Steelers took some heat for taking QB Mark Malone in 1980 in the first round, despite the fact that Terry Bradshaw was only 32 years old at the time. After age 34, Bradshaw was done.

Martz was supposedly all ready to draft JP Losman last year. I wouldn't put it past him to take Rodgers if he likes the kid.

Any guys named Levi on the board projected to go in round 3 for the Bungles to draft here?

While I doubt Miami moves up to get Rodgers, I'd like to see GB do it and leave Frye there for the Phins @46

Benglas take Pollack.Obviously they are not concerned with having to face Winslow/Edwards. ;)

And what if Rodgers is he next Tim Couch or Ryan Leaf?
Can't happen - part of being the next Couch or Leaf requires being drafted towards the top of the draft.
That's fine, but he could still be just as bad, and the 9ers would be pretty damn smart for not taking him at all.

man eagles fans are dumb :lmao:
As soon as they played that, I wondered to myself how many of those guys who were booing now own McNabb jerseys.
It was an organized radio stunt.
Off-topic: Is your first name Mike? I worked with a guy who liked that handle to post on NHL boards. Big Flyers fan.On-topic: is that a fact? That's pretty interesting if it was.
