SeriouslyFavre is going to stay to break Marino's TD record IMO, which puts him here two more years. They lost two great lineman and have no defense, and how do they help the best player they've had in 30 years? They draft his BACKUP?

Winning the Super Bowl was not realistic no matter who they drafted in the 1st round.
LIke winning the SB is realistic to any teams but Phily in the NFC.

Umm, when you have one of the top offenses in the league you simply need to improve your defense a little and you have a shot. This team would have been in the SB a couple years ago had it not been for 4th & 26... this team is not far away at all. Bates hiring will jump the defense up in the teens just by scheme alone and add a pass rusher or a safety that will start right away might propel this team in defense to like 10-14 overall. This team is not far away and this does not help us at all.
When Favre chucks up 4 INTs in the playoffs to the Vikings defense while playing in Lambeau, the Super Bowl is pretty much a pipe dream.

Rodgers was the best pick for this FRANCHISE, maybe not next year. I didn't know drafts were built around 1 season goals though.

I still maintain that Favre, being just 44 TDs away from Marino's record, will stay two more years to pass him. He's 11,627 yards from Marino's passing yards mark, so he won't get that anytime soon.Just not sure if it's worth drafting Rodgers if he doesn't even START until 2007.
