Pierre Luc Dubois to Caps for Keumper. I was kinda interested in PLD when he was rumored to be on the market before moving to LA, but that contract is pretty terrible though. Was just looking over the Caps roster and that team is old, so I guess you gotta take a chance on a 25 year old, but I think the Caps need a full rebuild here and I'm not sure I'd want that' contract as an anchor to be honest.

PLD was absolutely terrible with the Kings. No heart, no hustle, no urgency. Nice to get rid of the contract

pretty big trade - Markstrom to Devils for Bahl and a first

I am good with the trade even if not a huge Markstrom fan. Gets out goaltending to average and gives us a year or two to determine if any of Schmid/Daws/Poulter is gonna be the next guy or maybe we go out and also get that next guy.

Bahl - big body that doesn't use the big body enough. Ceiling is 3rd pair defensive d-man and would just as soon see us get a higher up the chain dman to bump Siegenthaler down to that 3rd-pair role. If your Calgary you are hoping he magically blooms into another Willie Mitchell but I am dubious he'll have close to that kind of career.

The 1st rounder is protected enough should disaster strike again this year.

Retention helps with other moves (possibly for what we really would want to trade 10OA for) and this doesn't hurt the long term salary structure at all.

I'm good with it.

The 1942 Toronto Maple Leafs, the 1945 Detroit Red Wings and the 2012 New Jersey Devils are the only other teams to force Game 6 after starting out the Stanley Cup final trailing 3-0.

So far only Toronto has come out on the winning side of their series. 🏆

What’s bizarre is that the Caps just bought the website capfriendly.com. You’d think it would help here.

Kuemper is 34 and has three seasons remaining on a five-year $26.25 million contract he signed with Washington in 2022.
Los Angeles signed Dubois to an eight-year, $68 million contract last season. He turns 26 on Monday.
I think I'd rather be stuck with Kemper's bad contract than PLD's.

I don’t hate the Panthers like some Lightning fans do (really no reason to until a few weeks ago) but this would be extremely funny. No offense Todem.

Um, maybe I'm wrong but...I don't think she goes and sits under that bridge to think. :oldunsure:
that's not her anyway. it's an imposter. the real queen doesn't have a tattoo on her right hand.
Is this true? I agree that she didn’t really look the same overall
The one in the video is the same one that was on the Spittin Chiclets podcast. Now Playboy is featuring this woman in photos. She has tattoos (including one on her hand). If it's not the same woman, this woman is capitalizing on the notoriety.

you can’t overturn call on the ice.
Of course you can, that's the whole point of replay.
Replay is terrible. They still get calls wrong sometimes, and bring the excitement to a screeching halt.
If it’s not conclusive video evidence.

What are you talking about? Why are you only quoting part of my post.

Anyway on ABC and what ABC showed clearly was not conclusive. But we don’t see all the angles the replay officials do.

Anyway…..way to only partially quote me.

And yes I agree that replay is garbage. I hate it too. It has ruined sports especially the NFL.

And we can argue this all day till Sunday.

But with the amount of gambling in this world it will never ever go away.

Sports are not played in super HD slo mo. It is called and officiated by the human eye in real time.

But let’s throw that fact out the window.

It’s garbage.

So the panthers Monday basically either will have complete jubilation or maybe the most humiliating loss in sports history and really nothing in-between. Pretty wild.
It's even worse when you think of what their 3-year stretch will be if they lose Monday:

2021-2022: best record, swept in the 2nd round
2022-2023: lost in the finals
2023-2024: lost in the finals

Why are you ... quoting ... my post.

Seriously though, my partial quote was not intended to be deceptive, it's more that once the nesting starts it gets too cluttered to read, especially on a phone. This is particularly true

Anyway, you are the one (among others) saying the replay evidence was inconclusive. That doesn't make it true. It was a judgement call. Just like the initial call (or non-call in this case). Which is why we are in violent agreement about replay. It's horrible.

From what I understand they are screwed with the cap after this year concludes as well.

In other words, if the Panthers lose Monday, fans of the team will be finding out what bridge Rory McIlyroy was spotted at last weekend and head there immediately.
