Anyway, you are the one (among others) saying the replay evidence was inconclusive. That doesn't make it true. It was a judgement call. Just like the initial call (or non-call in this case). Which is why we are in violent agreement about replay. It's horrible.

We are not screwed. Gonna need to move Eck’s contract off the books or at least a portion via trade. Also we will definitely try to move Spencer Knight outta here and he is a young promising goalie. But a 4MM cap number in his final year.

We will lose either Rhino or Montour. Odds are it will be Monty.

We have a lot of guys who will be back for smaller deals because they love living and playing in Florida (Stenny, Larson, Kulikov to name a few)

Lundy is an RFA. So if someone wants to overpay….go ahead.

Tarensenko will come back for a team friendly deal. His wife lives here. And my god she is gorgeous.

Zito is a heck of a GM. He will figure things out.

Anyway most of this team will be back.

But first things first, let’s get her done Monday night!!!

I don’t think it’s possible to move that deal.

You sound like Lightning fans did when Killorn, Coleman and others left. They’ll stay in Florida they love it here, they’ll take less etc. Eventually money talks and the cap situation sucks. But we’ll see.

Impressive you’ve been to every game this year, you’re a true fan.

This was my first year as a season ticket holder.

Best thing I did. It has been such a ride.

I hope we get the happy ending.

No question on that. His re-tooling of the roster even after they won the President's Trophy a few years ago, including replacing Brunette with Maurice after the former did a tremendous job after the Quenneville disaster, the Tkachuk trade, and all the free agent signings, was master class.
 
What a crazy awful collapse by the cats. I was really cheering for them to win....sorry to all the Panther fans I jinxed that for you :kicksrock:

It would be much better if the players didn't already have beards when the playoffs started. Too many players play the regular season with beards now so the tradition has somewhat lost it's juice. If fact, I don't think I have heard it mentioned one time during the playoffs (but I haven't been listening closely either).

The beards during the regular season are well trimmed and groomed.

Now? They look like Grizzly Adams. A family of birds can live in some of these beards. But I hear ya on the effect and novelty. It's not as cool anymore.

Replay is terrible. They still get calls wrong sometimes, and bring the excitement to a screeching halt.

It has gotten to a point that if my team enters the zone and it looks close to off sides I hope the puck gets cleared quickly to reset things. There is nothing like entering the zone on a close play, controlling the play for 30-45 seconds in the zone and finally scoring. Only to have the play reviewed and the goal disallowed because it was offsides by a fraction of an inch (or not). It just kills the whole momentum of the game.

I think playoff teams should have to shave off all beards before the first game of playoffs and start fresh. That could bring the tradition back.

We got season tickets for the LA Kings at the start of their run in 2012. I live about 3-5 hrs (depending on traffic) north of the arena so it was a difficult making weekday games. We figured with the run it would be easy to sell tickets for games we just couldn't get to and it was up until they started sucking again.

We originally got the tickets to ensure I could get reasonably priced tickets to the 2012 finals so got to a few of those games but went to every playoff game in 2013 and 2014 (the second cup run). 2014 was magical as it included coming back from down 3-0 in the first round to the sharts and two more 7 game series including the best series (WC Finals vs the Blackhawks) I have ever seen. Then to top it off they won the Cup at home in double OT and scored the game winner right below my seats. It was the most emotinally draining sporting event I have ever been too (and it was only game 5). I could only imagine what tonight will be for you. I am envious and scared for you all rolled into one. There is no in-between. I don't know how you can do anything today. I would be a wreck. I will be rooting for you for sure.
 
Yea todem is a great dude who has made me a ton of money in the stock thread so I must root for him tonight. Although the Edmonton thing would still be funny. Gl dude.
 
this is pretty fun

so many former Sabres on the Panthers so I'd be happy to see Okposo skate with the Cup but I also kind of have to root for the historical collapse just to see it and for Miami fans to suffer a bit.

Will be great to watch McDavid vs Barkov in this game as I assume they will be locked up all night.
 
Miami/South Florida is 2-0 in home championship games. The 1997 Marlins beat the Indians in extra innings in game 7. The 2013 Heat forced a game 7 in 2013 when Ray Allen made a corner 3 to send the game into overtime, one of the best NBA games ever. After tonight ... maybe 3-0.
 
My prediction is Panthers need to score first. If they don't the fans will turn nervous and pressure will get too much. If Panthers score first the fans will get into it and give them a shot. As long as Panthers don't fall behind they have a chance.

If Edmonton scores first then they will roll and win going away.
 
Considering since the end of the 2nd period in Edmonton where the Panthers were up 2-0 and held a 4-1 advantage entering the 3rd. hold on for dear life 4-3 to make it 3-0 in the Series
8-1, 5-3, 5-1...Florida has been outscored 20-5 over the last 10 periods of hockey
They are allowing 2 goals per period right now

-Bottom Line is the Florida Panthers are lucky to even be here hosting Game 7, so I think they should relax and just play the way they know how
Edmonton has come on like a freight train, it won't surprise anyone if they win going away tonight, they've looked like the better team overall in this Series
The Oilers ability to get the puck out of their zone and not look around and survey the field, that has been a major difference in the last several games.
Edmonton has made major adjustments, can the Panthers and Maurice close the deal tonight? Momentum is not on their side but they will have HOME ICE!!!

You dream of hosting a Game 7 for the Stanley Cup, grow some pucks and enjoy the ride tonight

Barkov at +1000 for Conn smythe. Jumped a little on that. Mcdavid should win it even if the Panthers do but if Barkov has a great game I could see the old voters giving it to the winner.

Bingo. The Panthers were able to absolutely smother the Rangers with an aggressive forecheck, clogging up the neutral zone, and not allowing clean zone entry. The Oilers all-world talent has been able to overcome this the past few games. Panthers have to find their way back to their game to avoid catastrophe.

Barron has been so impressive this playoff - glad he’s finally getting the recognition he deserves beyond the Selkes.
