A lot of talk about whether the Mets will bring Murphy back or if this postseason run even prices them out. I'm not sure what the right move is, obviously depends on price/length. But what I'm happiest about is that prior to this run, there were questions if they would even extend him a $12 million qualifying offer, worrying he would accept and that would be a price point they're not comfortable with. Now at least they can extend the offer and get compensation if he leaves.

As for the deal I'm willing to give him, talk to me after the playoffs.

He will be an interesting one. He has had amazing success off of GREAT pitchers.

So it's not like he is feasting on average talent. Also, he is getting these hits in major spots.

Not like he hit 2 HRs after the game was already 7-1.

Oh, and he is playing heads up baseball and making memorable catches on the field.

Truly a playoff performance for the ages from him so far.

Will be an interesting story to follow considering the need for a slugger like Cespedes will still be needed.

 
Oh man what a monstrous at bat for Cespedes here. Some more runs would be awesome.
