It is all about Phish and The Gorge.

Saw Trey there actually. What is the Jones Beach scene like? Where can you stay? Do you have to be rich?Oh and:Just picked up 4 preorder tixx for the Friday night Jones Beach show![]()

I think they will release more dates. I am hoping for a west coast swing of some sort in the early fall. An east coast new years run is not out of the question, though I'm not sure how much of a "touring band" these guys are going to be moving forward. There is also space left for Bonaroo amidst the announced summer tour thus far.Heard Foam through Ester from this show on Gone Phishin' on the way home from work. Ripping Divided Sky. I didn't know this was an album release, and some of these are on youtube:What is the feeling on whether or not they will release more dates?

I live about 8 miles from Jones Beach. Scene is a little different - It's a State Park and that means State Police - Lots of lot patrols - Beer is tolerated in plastic cups - NO beer in the venue. You can spend the day at the beach and BBQ in the picnic area which is cool.. I have pledged that I would never sit in the upper deck here again But, I think Phish is the one exception. What is the Jones Beach scene like? Where can you stay? Do you have to be rich?Oh and:![]()

My thoughts are this....it's almost a given they release more dates at some point......but if you are east/midwest and like to stick around there.....take advantage of what you can now. The other shows will likely be out west (of StL). Even if they come back east for a "New Years Tour" I can't see ignoring these shows. Right now it's looking like I'm locked into Pittsburgh and Asheville, assuming I get tickets. Should be good enough for me....plus I'm feeling some PJ vibe '09-'10 too....What is the feeling on whether or not they will release more dates?
cool...looks like i'll be putting in a request for Jones Beach. I've got a free SWA flight and hilton points, so I can pull this whole thing off pretty cheap (assuming I get tickets). My thoughts are this....it's almost a given they release more dates at some point......but if you are east/midwest and like to stick around there.....take advantage of what you can now. I don't know about that place. But I have been to tons of venues that were indoor arenas that were GA.Which is how is should always be damn it!Anyone know about Asheville Civic Center? How could it be all GA? I believe it is an indoor arena.
Yea. I talked with some friends that know this venue. I am not going anywhere near it. Sounds like a bad scene unless you are virgin pure in your activities.Wisconsin here I come!!!I live about 8 miles from Jones Beach. Interesting...so first come first serve dash when the doors open?I've had that at outdoor venues and almost died.I don't know about that place. But I have been to tons of venues that were indoor arenas that were GA.Which is how is should always be damn it!Anyone know about Asheville Civic Center? How could it be all GA? Go big or go home. But I hear ya, that is one of the main reasons we don't see as much GA as we used too. And that sucks in my opinion because GA rules!!!Interesting...so first come first serve dash when the doors open?I've had that at outdoor venues and almost died.I don't know about that place. Then again, towards the end there, some of the "scenes" were getting a little ridiculous.. Young kids doing way too much of some real bad stuff.....Maybe a lot of people will stay away from Jones Beach and make it better for the rest of us.Probably not. It is the beach and all.....I've gone to a ton of shows at Jones Beach and never had a problem myself... Just don't pee on the dunes, don't have an open container without a plastic cup and don't be an idiot when it comes to anything else.Gigantomachia said:Yea. If it works the same as the reunion show raffle, I don't think it matters if you pick the min or max tickets in terms of your chances of winning. What screws you is trying to use multiple credit cards with the same name / billing address.Does anyone know how the ticket requests work? Is your name picked and then you get the # you requested? Are you more likely to get picked if you request 2 as opposed to 4, etc?TIA
Is there a benefit to using multiple CC? Why would one do this?snitwitch said:If it works the same as the reunion show raffle, I don't think it matters if you pick the min or max tickets in terms of your chances of winning. What screws you is trying to use multiple credit cards with the same name / billing address.Tremendous Upside said:Does anyone know how the ticket requests work? Bonnaroo, the East Coast’s premiere multi-day, multi-stage gathering of the vibes (held in Manchester, Tennessee from June 11th to 14th) usually doesn’t release its lineup until early February — but RollingStone.com hears from reliable sources close to Phish that the band will top the bill for two nights, restoring the fest to its jam-friendly roots. It would be the fifth time frontman Trey Anastasio appears on the ‘Roo stage, having performed as a solo artist in 2002 and 2004, with bandmate Mike Gordon in 2006 and alongside Matisyahu in 2005. Phish announced their official reunion and first public gigs in four years (their March 6-9th Hampton, Virginia shows) in early October; reps for the band and the fest declined comment for this story. Also being buzzed about with some legitimacy: Bruce Springsteen as Sunday night’s closer. No pressure, but there is a deadline approaching for pre-sale tickets and VIP packages.
As for Coachella, the fest reputed for reuniting many a dormant band (the Pixies in 2004, Rage Against the Machine in 2007), Blur is believed to be a frontrunner, though a show scheduled for London’s Hyde Park in July raises some doubt — would the Brits really forestall a comeback gig on their home turf for a U.S. one-off jaunt? We think it’s more likely Britney Spears would pull off a dance tent set, a la Madonna in 2006. (And wouldn’t you know it, Britney is off on Coachella Saturday, April 18th, between tour stops in Los Angeles and Anaheim.) Other artists currently looking at routing dates around the three-day party in the desert include Coachella vets Red Hot Chili Peppers as well as the Pretenders, the Killers, Keane and We Are Scientists.
It's like getting more raffle tickets, increases your chances of winning. But they made it clear in the raffle for the reunion shows that if you are caught using a CC with the same name/billing address, you'd be automatically DQ'd.So if you want to do something like this, best bet is to get friends at different addresses to also enter. Is there a benefit to using multiple CC?
