Unfortunate news to report considering the IWC can't stay out of people's business. Sammy Guevara TNT Champ of AEW announce he and his fiancee Pam broke off their engagement. IWC has speculated that he's been cheating with Tay Conti because she recently announced she was separated from her husband. SHe's also in his video blogs and Pam hasn't. Do to harassment from IWC marks COnti deactivated her account.

Besides the video blogs there's zero proof the 2 are even in a relationship and most backstage have said they are good friends. Sammy is also one of the males wrestlers helping train the AEW women's division at times and is one of the people getting props from his peers for Conti's development in the ring.

So a lot of "Fans" out there spreading rumors of Tay and Sammy however look on Sammy's twitter and if looks like he and Pam hadn't been together since OCT and Tay didn't enter the Vlogs till Nov. Called some idiot out on Facebook on one of the wrestling pages and the dude reported me for harassment and bullying. I'm sorry but Facebook has a different idea what results in harassment and bullying plus the algorightam seams to target people more who have had warnings before.

Corporal Kirchner has passed away at age 64. He was an actual Army paratrooper and wrestled in the WWF, Stampede, New Japan, the *other* UWF, and FMW.  He was a former FMW Brass Knuckles Heavyweight Champion.

He was also in the Capture the Flag match against Nikolai Volkoff at WM2.  Here's appearance on The Body Shop to hype the match.
He was in the very first live match I saw. It was at the Philadelphia Spectrum right before WM 2. Can't remember who he wrestled (it was a job guy), but I remember Hogan and Bundy was in the main event.

Unfortunately, spoilers no longer work here, but since this is Christmas Day, I’ll post this.
Tonight’s Rampage will see Cody win the TNT title from Sammy.

LOL CODY WINS.

I like Cody the person but he's turning too much into Hunter at this point.

Cody Rhodes is working this angle beautifully. The fans are booing face Cody relentlessly but the moment he turns heel, he’ll get the biggest pop in the company. Using the Tiger Driver ‘98 gives him the set up to simply turn it into a Pedigree and the crowd is eating up the tease.

Yeah, it was more about him winning again than anything else.  I'm not lighting my hair on fire over this; AEW has proven that there's a payoff just about every time they do something.  Thus, I'll sit back and watch it play out.

I trust Cody to tell a good story.

AEW, up to this point, has done a really good job of giving the fans a ton of immediate gratification pops, while also slow burning enough stories to keep things interesting. Vince doesn't have that power anymore. He is stuck somewhere in the middle, making the wrong call on strapping the rocket or slow burning someone.

Brandi has been winning matches on Dark which will most assuredly play into this. At some point, Cody will use his EVP to go against the previous title match stipulation. His character seems to be he’s the hero he believes we all need.

The long story arcs are enjoyable as they play out so I too will sit back and see where Cody takes us.

WWE has suspended COVID testing for everyone. And - in what can only be described as the craziest coincidence - Vince, Bucky Beaver, Michael Hayes, Adam Pierce, and Bruce Pritchard were nowhere to be found last night. 🤔

Apparently, COVID test has been future endeavored.

24 years ago today, Sting beat Hogan for the WCW championship.  Was a terrible match and a very poopy ending to what was an amazing storyline and slow burn build-up.  The beginning of the end for WCW.

Roman and USO's aren't happy. Way to Piss off your best star. It was one of the biggest factors for Roman to come back when he did.

I stand by him not being on my Mount Rushmore for all the ####, just like this.
Without thinking, I used that phrase a couple of weeks ago in a meeting with a customer’s contractor. He didn’t notice anything and by turns I was amused and embarrassed by it. :lmao:

Since pro wrestling doesn't have an offseason, I had to take one myself. Been completely out of watching anything since we came back from Full Gear. The wrestling season begins anew for me with Wrestle Kingdom. :D

Here comes the rain, boys. Okada gonna make it pour once again.

Toni Storm has asked for and been given her release

Another talent that WWE didn’t know how to use. SMH

I knew the minute they took her off NXT UK and put her on NXT she was going to eventually be called up and then let go. They can't have anyone that isn't one of theirs originally outshine the queen now can we? Heard she asked for her release because WWE kept delaying storylines and she was suppose to get a big push that Vince stopped. I hate saying this since everyone does it but Toni Storm is definitely someone who needs to go to AEW for that Women's division. She's one of the few out there that could make it really legit

I got so behind on NJPW this past year over the Summer I just said F it I'll restart with WK. NJPW is really easily if you already know it and were out of the loop as Kevin Kelly and the gang do a great job of summarizing everything you may have missed. The only NJPW I even saw since the Summer was the New Beginning tour here in Philly in October.

Tessa Blanchard posted an IG story of Patty Bunya-Ananta (jobber Boom Boom in WOW circa 2000) with a Rest In Peace above the video. I can’t confirm from any other source of her passing.

JFC

@TonyKhan

The top 2 @AEW execs are brown (me & Megha)!! Jade, Bowens, Caster, Dante, Nyla, Isiah & Marq Quen all won on tv this month. The TBS Title Tournament has been very diverse. I let Swole’s contract expire as I felt her wrestling wasn’t good enough. #AEWRampage Street Fight TONIGHT!
In response to performer indicating why they left AEW.

This guys is Herb Abrams 2.0 if Twitter was around then.

He's got a point. I made a point to listen to Swol's interview and it sounds like sour grapes to be honest and another let me pull race into something to not be held accountable for my actions. Heard from a few Swol was liked backstage but she seamed to not click and didn't do well in the ring. Her comments on Omega were taken by her completely different then when Kenny meant it to be. He was essentially saying Swol speaking up helped others realize they can pass ideas off without getting blown off and could go to him without feeling afraid of being ridiculed and in effect making a lot of the girls better for it.

She just sounds incredible bitter and that she thinks she's better then she really is. I didn't hear anything about her being difficult to work with but given listening to her comments I wouldn't be shocked.

I listed to Bischoff's podcast explaining the weak finish. Apparently, and I'm not kidding about this, Hogan used the fact that Sting wasn't in his usual great shape and, I still can't believe this, he wasn't tanned to pull his creative control BS.

Did anyone else have a hard time watching the AEW women's street fight yesterday? I mean, the wrestling was good enough, but the blood was way over the top.

I heard about the "Sting was not in great shape" part, and honestly if you go back and watch the match, Sting does look pretty lethargic and not even close to what he had been. Ring rust cannot be used as an excuse since plenty of wrestlers have come back and wrestled a big match after a long sabbatical and done just fine.  In the case of Hogan, he had put over Luger clean a few months earlier and then put over Goldberg clean six months after the Sting debacle, so he had no problem putting people over at that time, but if he used his creative control to not put over a guy who looked like he had fat assed it and done little to get back in ring shape, I have zero problem with it.

I think there is plenty of blame to go around for that match not being as good as it should have been.

Maki Itoh won the International Princess Championship today at Tokyo Joshi Pro’s show.

Bow down all you simps! Your Queen is here to flip you off.

So to go back to this Lio Rush made comments in support of Swol on twitter but quickly took them back after he was getting the smoke for his comments. My favorite comments were ones making fun of him retiring and unretiring to retire again and then comeback again.

For the most part everyone seems to be defending TK and Kenny here. Like I stated above it seems like Swol is just someone who thinks much more highly of herself than others do. She's married to current RAW Wrestler Cedric Alexander so I could see maybe WWE picking her up at something just because of that.

A part of me is upset that there isn't much NJPW talk here but on the positive side I don't have to come in here and worry about spoilers for Wrestlekingdom when I haven't watched any yet. With an off day tomorrow I plan to watch first night in the morning and last night in Afternoon followed by New Beginning that night.

Anyway WWE just RIP'd NXT William Regal is gone

William Regal. He had been working as WWE’s Director of Talent Development and Head of Global Recruiting, being the main talent scout for the company. He also worked on TV as the NXT General Manager until this past fall. Regal had been with WWE since 2000

* Dave Kapoor. Formerly known in the WWE storylines as Ranjin Singh, Kapoor previously worked as a Senior Vice President of Creative. He first began working for WWE in 2007, and moved to Florida in 2020 to work full-time behind-the-scenes for NXT

* Ryan Katz. A long-time NXT creative producer, Katz was involved in a lot of NXT creative character development and vignettes. He taught promo class following the passing of WWE Hall of Famer Dusty Rhodes, and was credited with helping numerous wrestlers improve their characters. He had been with WWE since 2015, and previously worked for MTV’s Wrestling Society X and elsewhere as GQ Money

* Scott Armstrong. A veteran pro wrestler and referee, Armstrong had been working as a main roster producer until being furloughed in 2020 along with other COVID-19 budget cuts. He returned last fall, and had been working behind-the-scenes in NXT as of late. Armstrong had been with WWE since 2006

* George Carroll. Formerly an employee of MLW and NJPW in the United States, Carroll was hired in 2020 to work as a producer and creative writer in NXT

Nick Khan is a ruthless bastage and I hate it.

They are slowly trying to get rid of NXT. They did this with WWE ECW. They are having a title fight where they will merge the UK and NXT title belts after that NXT UK is done (A dam shame given the potential it had too). Then give it another. Year before we start hearing WWE may get rid of NXT. Don't know what the ratings for NXT are these days but I can't imagine they are as good as they use to be. Most of the people I know who solely only watch NXT and didn't watch the main roster anymore has barely or stopped watching NXT all together
