Saturday night at MLW Battle Riot IV; Cesar Duran revealed that he's Selina de La Renta's father. Minoru Suzuki was revealed as The newest member of CONTRA. Chris Danger also got to mix it up with Suzuki during the Battle Riot match. And Matt Riddle was the winner of the 40 person Battle Riot.

What is Gable thinking?!?!?

Why sign with WWE when he can go do cold Indyrific matches in other promotions in buildings 20% full and 600k TV viewers?!?!?

It's worked out wonderful for Edge and Sasha Banks 😄 🦗

President Tanahashi held a press conference to reveal his 10 Step process of New Japan having success in the upcoming months as well as his six month progress report:

1. Talent discovery and development

Wants to give more chances to younger talent and for them to have more prominent spots. Wants to focus on wrestlers in their 20s, especially their early 20s.

2. Elevating the value of title belts

The NJPW STRONG belts will go back to being defended exclusively on US events, minus any rare exceptions.

3. Reducing/eliminating outside interference

Wants to take a stricter stance. Tana says he'll fight them if he has to. Haven't came up with any concrete penalties, but will see a difference at Dominion. (This was basically all directed at HOUSE OF TORTURE)

4. Increasing the prominent status of NJPW Hontai

Wants to include more wrestlers into Hontai regardless of age

5. Strengthening ties with STARDOM

Will see improved operating between the two companies by the end of June as well as improved scheduling and cross promotion. We'll also see more STARDOM wrestlers compete on New Japan shows in the coming future. There will also be a new crossover event this year.

6. Strengthening ties with AEW

Says the two companies has a very positive relationship and it helps that Tony Khan has a huge appreciation for 90s NJPW. Understands there's a perception of New Japan being treated at a sub brand or looked down upon by AEW. Says both companies have different strengths. There's some details that can't be discussed yet in terms of what they can do together in the future, but it's assured that both companies are on equal footing

7. Improving live fan experience

Possibly having special food items at venues.

8. Improving NJPW World

Apologized for any bugs and issues of the New site. Wants to use a better search functionality and improved

9. Improved treatment of personal information

Brings up how a USB stick containing fans club members birth dates and names was lost and never found. However, no info on it ever leaked. Promises to improve safety and training for staff

10. NJPW Sponsorship

Says that LEC Co Ltd leaving in June won't cause any significant damage to New Japan.

Hiroshi Tanahashi says the last six months have flown by and that he and the wrestlers have been giving it 100%. He also plans to become IWGP Heavyweight Champion at least one more time.

God I missed MJF!! So happy he’s staying. Also really enjoying the Mina, Mariah and Toni storyline here. Mini is just amazing and Surprisingly funny

Fightful reports negotiations between WWE and Dijak on a new deal have begun, with both sides viewing the early negotiations positively.

Dijak is being represented by ParagonTG in negotiations with WWE. #WWE #Dijak #Ratio

BREAKING NEWS: PWlnsider reports Ricochet has given notice that he intends to exit the company when his current contract expires this summer.

Kevin Kelly recently was interviewed and said Ian brought him to AEW and AEW had him do collision as a show made for punk. Excalibur was originally suppose to do play by play but was banned from the show along with the elite by Punk given his association with the bucks. Colt Cobana obviously and so was Christopher Daniels. To a surprise to some The Hardy’s were also banned but if you go look at Matt and Jeffs history they had a few matches with the young bucks before making it back to WWE during the whole broken era and leaving TNA.

I recently was in the city and bumped into a wrestling buddy who was fairly close to Pubk in the ROH days and they met up during mania week here. He essentially told me anyone with any association to the Bucks was basically told they couldn’t be on collision. Confirming another part he also said that Kenny omega tried to play peacekeeper and get a deal between both parties. Punk wanted non of it and was the one who kept blocking everything with lawyers. Tony khan tried his best to keep punk but by the all in incident most of the locker room was sick of punks ********.

After the all in incident and the headlines manly on punks incident backstage, most were like that’s typical Phil for you. Always needed to be the center of attention and trying to take the spotlight off others and project it solely on him.

AEW fanboys still obsessed with Punk. :lmao:

Punk is back as a top guy in the top promotion.

Move on. He's not coming back.

Go enjoy your new game changers like Mone, Copeland, Offspring, random Japanese guy!

Sounds like NXT Battlehround last night was an absolute sh** show. You know it’s bad when the usual WWE ball sniffers are silent on their podcasts and blogs the day after. Numerious botches and still trying to promote that Sexy red whatever.

The reason Gigi Dolin has been off TV for the last few months is because she is currently dealing with a knee injury.

This isn’t a surprise most were expecting this.

Hikuleo has exited NJPW after yesterday’s Dominion event, and is expected to be heading to WWE.

Gable has resigned or close to signing with WWE

The Ricochet segment last night was to properly write him off tv with his contract up soon and him saying he won’t resign

Uncle Dax is taking some time away for injury related issues

Dax Harwood of FTR shares a video stating he'll be taking time off due to a back injury he's had since #AEWDynasty Dax also apologized for not stepping away sooner and apologized to Tony Khan, the #AEW Roster, the Medical staff and others.

His injury happened while piledriving Matthew Jackson on a ladder.

Transcript summary in case you don’t want to watch video

AEW’s Dax Harwood revealed today that he is injured and will likely be out for a significant amount of time.

Harwood delivered the message on social media.

He explained that he suffered a lower back injury when executing a piledriver to Matthew Jackson onto a steel ladder in the FTR versus Young Bucks tag title match at Dynasty on April 21. The landing of that move messed up his back badly, causing a painful hematoma, that he ignored and finished the match, taking the final spot, where he was pushed off the ladder by Jack Perry.

Harwood hid the injury from AEW the medical staff.

He thought he could tough it out, in an effort to keep FTR’s momentum into the “Forbidden Door” PPV.

After FTR versus Blackpool Combat Club this past Saturday on June 8 at Collision, Harwood said that the hematoma blew up to the size of a football. He decided to get x-rays on Monday for his lower back and pelvis.

When finally informing the AEW medical staff, doctor Michael Sampson then pulled Harwood off the road immediately. The risk of continuing to wrestle could have forced Harwood into early retirement. Harwood has been in excruciating pain, and he doesn’t know how long he will be sidelined. Harwood apologized to AEW’s staff for keeping his injury a secret from them.

Harwood’s schedule after suffering the injury has been pretty brutal. It included singles matches against Tommy Billington, a Continental Championship match against Kazuchika Okada, a pair of trios matches, Anarchy in the Arena at “Double or Nothing”, and the 20-minute time limit draw vs. Blackpool Combat Club.

Gigi Dolan is dealing with a serious knee injury and was recently spotted with her leg in a brace, Fightful Select is reporting. There is no timetable for her return.

Dolan hasn’t wrestled since losing to Arianna Grace via disqualification back on March 12. The loss meant Dolin was forced to undergo a makeover by Grace, which led to a series of sketches featuring the two. This was reportedly done to keep Dolin on television while she was injured. However, Grace appears to have moved on from the angle and has interacted with TN Knockouts Champion Jordynne Grace and Lola Vice in backstage segments the last couple of weeks.

Gigi has not been at the WWE Performance Center during recent tapings, or at NXT “Battleground”.

This seemed like a real issue. Battleground was so sloppy from a performer standpoint. Ton’s of botches and funky looking movements

WrestleVotes is reporting that NXT Superstars were unhappy with the setup at the venue & floor spacing at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada last night.

The account wrote:

“While thankfully nothing came of it, I’m told a handful of Superstars were unhappy with the floor spacing around the ring last night at the UFC Apex in Vegas. It was noticeably tighter than at standard NXT event.

NxT ratings have been down lately. NxT is a good produced show but it’s really lacking in terms of talent. There’s a few very good ones but most of the roster is still very green and that results in some weird exchanges in the ring and some sloppy ring and mic work. So how do we get ratings up? Let’s throw the WWE special in there

WWE Undisputed Champion Cody Rhodes has been announced for tonight’s NXT on the USA Network.

Okay I’ve also posted about WWE news in here too but keep the tribilistiv bs going.

You’re talking up a company under federal investigation for sexual assault and abuse as well as sex trafficking multiple people in the company still knew about. I didn’t even get to how the former owner defended and protected the pedos in his company.

If mone or Cope went back to WWE you’d be jizzing your pants over them. Hey if you only watch WWE that’s fine but you’re doing yourself a disservice at least not trying to watch other promotions and just sound incredible ignorant and childish.

And seriously get some better material. No need to puppet the has been podcasters who realizes it was better money for them to frap on a company. A lot of bad faith arguments out there.

And btw your boy is really enjoying himself it seems taking the money while oh yeah he’s hurt again!!! Really exciting watching a guy who can never seem happy and always on the shelf

Really don’t get why people love to go and try to be buzzkill on what others enjoy. Seems really childish and immature.

Now they want him back?

People within NXT have spoken highly of Mustafa Ali, when discussing TNA crossover opportunities.

9 years ago today, Dusty Rhodes passed away.

Rest in Peace to the American Dream.
RIP to a racist? Interesting. I thought you disliked racists.
Dusty grew up in a time in the south where that was unfortunately acceptable. Everyone I’ve spoken too though when Dusty was in WWE was very fond of the black wrestlers. Hogan on the other hand and Vince never changed. Hogan apologized but his apology felt like to many wrestlers including big E and Titus that he was only sorry he got caught. From everything I read and heard on dusty in his later years he seemed to want to make things right for people.

Loved these guys in NXTUK

AEW and The Grizzled Young Veterans have had talks about potential contracts, Fightful Select has learned.

PWInsider reports WWE is considering one final appearance for Ricochet given there is still some time left on Ricochet’s contract and seeing the huge amount of attention he received when news of him exiting broke.

There was at least a creative pitch for him to potentially return for one more appearance, but whether that actually happens remains to be seen.

The belief is his contract expires sometime around July.

I guess WWE is gonna have some no name Japanese game changers too? Oh wait wrong narrative it’s WWE. Long time big time fan of so and so even though this is the first time I’ve ever heard to them

NOAH announces that there will be a MAJOR announcement by them and WWE at their Yokohama BUNTAI event on Sunday

They also say that there will be a “message from a certain wrestler”

June 12th 1987 Antonio Inoki defeated Masa Saito in a tournament final to become the first IWGP Heavyweight Champion. Inoki would hold this belt for 325 before having to give it up due to a foot fracture. This was the only time he held the belt.

He actually is the 10th longest NJPW IWGP heavyweight champion.

Update on Jim Ross

Jim Ross shared a update on his health scare leading him to miss #AEW Double or Nothing. JR was admitted with shortness of breath and said he stayed about three days in an Oklahoma hospital. Getting older comes with a 'price' as JR phrased it. When co-host Conrad Thompson asked if Jim would be at the next PPV, Forbidden Door, JR said he would be ready to work today, and will be there as long as Tony Khan wants him to be. Jim Ross has mentioned 2024 being his last year announcing.

Up until 10-12 yrs ago I considered myself a casual to Japanese wrestling but Misawa was a name that always came up. Such a great talent.

15 years ago today. Mitsuharu Misawa passed away. Truly one of the best wrestlers to ever step into the ring.

RIP Misawa

First off, I didn't say anything about Hogan, but he is clearly still in your head just like Punk.

But since you went there, you showed off your double standard once again.

Numerous black guys who have worked with Hogan have said he isn't a racist, but you don't care about that. But when those who worked with Dusty say the same thing, it means a lot apparently. (I have no clue if either guy really was/is, merely pointing out your double standard)

Did Big E (who is a great guy by all accounts) or Titus ever work with Hogan? I get why they would feel the way they did, but if they never worked with him, then they didn't really know him. Meanwhile, Bad News Brown worked with Dusty in the WWF and was adamant that he was a racist (which is why he refused to put Dusty over in a tag match).

My point was more or less people can change. Hogan was saying these things caught on camera not 10 yrs and the sex tapes leaked showed him using the same language again.

Let’s take that into account where Dusty was most likely racist during his in ring days but numerous minority wrestlers since he was nothing but nice to them. Point is one has changed the other hasn’t.

Hogan was caught on camera twice in the last 5-8 yrs using the same language. Where as the other guy from all accounts was trying to do right.

Looks like we'll know what Hikuleo's WWE name will be as WWE has filed a trademark for "Talla Tonga"......you get it? Cause Hikuleo is tall.

According to PWInsider, Uncle Howdy and his family are filming vignettes that could air as soon as this Monday on WWE RAW.

So just a little bit longer of a wait for those who want to see the new Uncle Howdy group.

At this point, I don't see how this is going to live up to the buildup and hype.

Bo Dallas can get massively over as Bo Dallas.

Dude was an absolute can't miss prospect. That had the unfortunate experience of having to deal with McMahon.

I don't know the Uncle Howdy stuff will connect long term. I expect the character to get massive reaction due to Bray upon debut. But still have faith that Bo Dallas / Wyatt can make an impact long term if he decides to commit to wrestling.

Peacawk running their cheap annual subscription promo right now. Definitely worth it just for the WWE library/PLE's

$19.99 for the year. Less possibly if use a cash back site.

It won’t just like the fiend they spent too long hyping it. The problem with bray was always great ideas, cool entrance and character, but it was never anything that had longtivity.

This might be DOA

Yeah, racists are never nice to the minorities they secretly hold their noses up about when no one is looking.

Meltzer and Sapp have both reported on this in recent weeks

"Cable fast nationals must be requested and purchased for thousands of dollars for each episode. So, the possible sources are far fewer than for typical ratings reporting. And I know WWE has been ordering AEW fast nationals every week roughly since Nick (Khan) started. Plus I know WWE PR tried to feed the numbers to a long line of reporters who long ago decided it was too shady.” WON newsletter

WON: WWE has been ordering AEW fast nationals every week roughly since Nick Khan started. WWE PR also tried to feed the numbers to a long line of reporters who long ago decided it was too shady.

Cable fast nationals must be requested and purchased for thousands of dollars for each episode. So the possible sources are far fewer than for typical ratings reporting.

Essentially these are numbers right after a show and usually very inaccurate. What WWE has been doing is buying the #s each week and if they are low for AEW send them out to their pro WWE news people and content creators.
