ROMAN!!!!!

Now that's how you do an AMAZING show that also builds your future TV and PLEs.

Punker looked in fantastic shape as well.

Great storytelling with McIntyre allowing distractions for months & months cost him the heavyweight title. Tonight Punk allowed the distraction of Rollins and the bracelet to cost himself the match. Punk/McIntyre could go on for awhile and not get boring. Bloody good stuff on TV and through social media. And they've already started incorporating Rollins for the eventual Punk-Rollins program.

This was one of my favorite overall Summerslams. Built new champions and new programs for quite awhile.
The men's division is hitting on all cylinders right now. The women...not so much. The Liv thing you could see coming a mile away. I'm a little more ok with that. The Smackdown side isn't great. There's zero reason Jax should even be in the WWE much less the champ. If you're going to give it to someone, just give it to Stratton and skip the stupid storyline between her and Jax.

All is right in the world!!! Drew wins
He should have. Punk will win the next one and they'll have the tie breaker at WM.
Not sure it will go that long, but Drew winning last night was the right call.

And all is right in the wrestling word for sure. Punk is wrestling in a featured match in the big leagues again in one of their biggest events of the years, while the Buckaroos and the rest of the children are still wallowing in the minor leagues and wrestling for the 72 people who watch on television. All is definitely right.

Drew trolling Punk on social media right after the match was hysterical. His eventual face turn will be awesome, but he is killing it this year as a heel.

I watch wrestling....but I'm not really a Smart. But I thought Summerslam last night was really good. I thought I noticed different camera angles and more in ring commentary. Was this something new that they did last night or have they been doing it for awhile?

Yeah, the camera work has been next level this year with WWE. The way it is being produced currently is really off the charts. Of course, to me stuff like that is icing on the cake, as the matches and the stories matter the most, but a great production will always enhance good writing, just like in music.

I know Orton likes to work slow, but the back half of the main event was really pushing it.
Agreed. Orton is very high on the list of all-time greats (I suspect I'd have him higher than most), but injuries and age have taken their toll. He works a little slower than he used to probably because he has to.

Agreed but I think they should have put the strap on him one more time. Maybe because it was in Berlin that they gave it to The Ring General, but still it would have been nice to see him get it one last time

No way have they built up Gunther this much only to take the world title off him a month after he finally won it.

Orton will chances to win another title at some point.

KO vs Cody was great.
KO vs Cody should have main evented
Eh, that match was a bore, like most of Cody's title reign. He is the new prototype for "he looks much better chasing the title than being the champion."
