ROMAN!!!!!

Now that's how you do an AMAZING show that also builds your future TV and PLEs.

12/10
Punker looked in fantastic shape as well.

Great storytelling with McIntyre allowing distractions for months & months cost him the heavyweight title. Tonight Punk allowed the distraction of Rollins and the bracelet to cost himself the match. Punk/McIntyre could go on for awhile and not get boring. Bloody good stuff on TV and through social media. And they've already started incorporating Rollins for the eventual Punk-Rollins program.

This was one of my favorite overall Summerslams. Built new champions and new programs for quite awhile.
The men's division is hitting on all cylinders right now. The women...not so much. The Liv thing you could see coming a mile away. I'm a little more ok with that. The Smackdown side isn't great. There's zero reason Jax should even be in the WWE much less the champ. If you're going to give it to someone, just give it to Stratton and skip the stupid storyline between her and Jax.

All is right in the world!!! Drew wins
He should have. Punk will win the next one and they'll have the tie breaker at WM.
Not sure it will go that long, but Drew winning last night was the right call.

And all is right in the wrestling word for sure. Punk is wrestling in a featured match in the big leagues again in one of their biggest events of the years, while the Buckaroos and the rest of the children are still wallowing in the minor leagues and wrestling for the 72 people who watch on television. All is definitely right.

Drew trolling Punk on social media right after the match was hysterical. His eventual face turn will be awesome, but he is killing it this year as a heel.

I watch wrestling....but I'm not really a Smart. But I thought Summerslam last night was really good. I thought I noticed different camera angles and more in ring commentary. Was this something new that they did last night or have they been doing it for awhile?

Yeah, the camera work has been next level this year with WWE. The way it is being produced currently is really off the charts. Of course, to me stuff like that is icing on the cake, as the matches and the stories matter the most, but a great production will always enhance good writing, just like in music.

I know Orton likes to work slow, but the back half of the main event was really pushing it.
Agreed. Orton is very high on the list of all-time greats (I suspect I'd have him higher than most), but injuries and age have taken their toll. He works a little slower than he used to probably because he has to.

Agreed but I think they should have put the strap on him one more time. Maybe because it was in Berlin that they gave it to The Ring General, but still it would have been nice to see him get it one last time

No way have they built up Gunther this much only to take the world title off him a month after he finally won it.

Orton will chances to win another title at some point.

KO vs Cody was great.
KO vs Cody should have main evented
Eh, that match was a bore, like most of Cody's title reign. He is the new prototype for "he looks much better chasing the title than being the champion."

I haven’t watch much WWE outside of NxT really happy to see Giulia. She’s the best talent on main or NxT women wise not named Iyo, Fyre, Asuka, Piper, or Dawn.

SummerSlam was a very predictable show not a bad thing but not amazing. WWE had issues selling tickets and most of brownsxstadium top part got tarpped and people moved around.

Goid news raw is moving back to 2hrs with their OCT premier. They’ll be on USA till Jan when they switch to Netflix bad news? WWE PPV going forward will only have 5 matches. I think that sucks for the international PPVs. These international pay big $$$ only to see 5 matches now?

G1 with ZSJ was incredible. Love Takeshita matches and hoping AEW builds off them. The ELP storyline is interesting.

All in was incredible watching Danielson had tears in my eyes. So great to Nigel in the ring again and Hayter back

I’ve been intrigued by the Mox stuff and all out I wasn’t looking forward too till after they promoted it within two weeks. Great matches. The only match both shows that was weak was both of Mone’s matches ending was weird on both. That turn on Danielson was wow. I really like where it’s going. Marina Shafir has been training with BPCC for awhile and Mox mentioned her in NJPW awhile back. Bully Ray even commented on busted open he was intrigued by this the other week.

Swerve vs Hangman might be one of the best storylines in any promotion. Hangman burning the house? Geez swerve and hangman the way they ended it was just a chiefs kiss for this blood fued. Couldn’t end any other way.

Odyssey jones was reportedly fired by WWE after a women came out publicly on Twitter saying he assaulted her during a vacation they had in April/may this year. WWE apparently knew about the allegations and still put him on TV according to the victim which is why she went public

I'd love to hear the justification for that dumb *** Moxley/Danielson angle.
Call back to Funk at WCW yrs ago during his fued with flair. In fact anniversary of it is coming up

You mean the angle that nearly got them kicked off TBS? Of course I remember it, I'm just saying it's a idiotic thing to put on tv.

It wasn’t on TV it was PPV. Completely different. They didn’t even Shoe the angle on dynamite and AEW put out a release they wouldn’t show the footage of the attack on their socials. Tv and PPV completely different

DEVLOPING STORY: John Ourand of the Hollywood focused website THE PUCK, is reporting AEW's new media deal with WBD "looks like" it will be a 4-year deal: 3 years guaranteed with a 1-year option.

Ourand says $170M per year "in the ballpark."

He says AEW will air on TNT, TBS, and TruTV twice per week, as part of a strategy to make TruTV more sports-oriented.

The announcement of the deal "could come as soon as next week, barring any last-minute changes."

He says AEW is also pitching an additional package to broadcast networks.

Ourand writes that the deal "marks a clear success for AEW"

No mention of how MAX will factor in.

$170M a year and three AEW shows across three WBD networks.

A new package with a second TV provider.

Deal to be announced imminently

NxT is suppose to take place in STO for the CW premier with a stacked card. Per wrestling tix WWE moved from a larger arena to a barely 3k seater despite announcements like hometown hero Randy Orton and appese ance from CM punk

Vince McMahon might be in more trouble. He’s been known to party with P diddy and he wasn’t alone as Dwayne Johnson and triple h were known to attend as well

WON: Sources indicated this past week that AEW Rampage would not be continued with the new Media rights deal.

The third show, likely called ‘AEW Shockwave’ would be the show being shopped around to FOX and likely others.

BREAKING: WWE has officially announced the return of Saturday Night's Main Event on NBC!!

The return will take place in Long Island at the Nassau Coliseum on December 14th.

The Wrestling Observer reports that AEW Rampage would likely not continue and would be replaced by the rumored AEW Shockwave. Shockwave is currently being shopped around to FOX and likely other companies.

John Ourand is reporting that is pitching to "primarily" broadcast channels like ABC, CBS, NBC, FOX, Telemundo, Univision, CW or ION.

I don't think that something will change with another name of the brand. Tony doesn't know what to do.

Gee I wonder why? Is it because many covered up Vince’s crimes for yrs? I really hope they put more on the ring boy scandal he covered up involving Pat Patterson as I don’t think that story ever got covered like it deserves

Dave Meltzer says that when he was interviewed for the upcoming Vince McMahon docuseries on Netflix, every single aspect of McMahon’s life’s story was covered.

Says some people in WWE are unhappy with it:

“I can only say that the director who did it, covered with me everything that I would expect someone to cover. There were no stones left unturned in this thing.

What the final product is, I know there are people in WWE who are not happy with it. I don’t know how fair it is to Vince, but there were people there very unhappy.”

#AEW’s Nigel McGuiness Sets The Record Straight On What Led to His Retirement

McGuiness’s retirement from in-ring action in 2011 was believed by many to have stemmed from prolonged injuries and/or his bout with hepatitis, but he has now spoken on the matter.

Speaking to TV Insider, McGuiness explained his decision to retire after his stint with #TNA Wrestling.

He said, “When I stepped away from wrestling, it was purely because I couldn’t make a living as a wrestler anymore. I could have gone back to Ring of Honor and wrestled that style, but I wouldn’t have made enough money to even afford health insurance, let alone save for the rest of my life. That style in Ring of Honor just wasn’t doable. WWE wasn’t interested in me because of an old arm injury, even though it was perfectly healed. I didn’t want to go back to TNA given what happened there. That was it.”

This segment was so awkward and looked like a disaster. I’m not sure if it was it didn’t make sense, how Roxanne and Punk didn’t seem to work etc. it was just a total cluster**** that was kind of saved by Giulia

Fightful reports CM Punk's segment with Roxanne Perez & Giulia on this Tuesday's WWENXT went longer than originally planned.

Punk also stuck around the PC for about 30 minutes after the show ended signing autographs and taking pictures with fans
