WWE has just confirmed that there will be two pre-show matches, the tag team title four-way and the Andre the Giant Battle Royal.

We are awaiting word on what time the show will start. We had been told earlier today the show was going to start with the tag title match at 3:30 p.m. local time (6:30 p.m. Eastern), but I'm thinking that will change.

The change is made because in timing out of the show, the amount of time for the big matches and angles meant they had to cut a match from the show.

WWE officials have just told us with the moving of the Andre the Giant Battle Royal to the pre-game show, the first match will go into the ring at about 3 p.m. Pacific time.

Originally the first match was scheduled for 3:30 p.m., so this will be a five hour show.

This really sucks for the pacing of the show as well... You need some sort of a break in between the four top matches of the night. The battle royal was a perfect pallet cleanser here.

It certainly mutes the potential Finn Balor debut (as is rumored). I don't know if he's winning the NXT tourney on Axxess, but he's rumored to be debuting on the roster either at or after Mania.

 
Why not put kid ink on the preshiw? You blow off 20 of your wrestlers so a rapper the vast majority of your audience isn't fans of (based on how they book black wrestlers).

 
Itami beat Neville in the NXT Tourney...which basically tells me the winner of Balor/Breeze will be in the battle royal. I don't see Itami getting promoted yet.

I really thought it would be Neville since he's been on the road for a while, and the Red Arrow will pop any crowd. It cannot be Balor yet...he has to be introduced through vignettes for 4-6 weeks.

Itami must be a one time thing - he is not ready for the main roster. He doesn't even have a finisher.

Yeah, about that...

His finisher in Japan was the Go To Sleep. In fact, he was the wrestler that Punk stole the move off of. Itami's been teasing it in his matches, but hasn't hit it yet.

I don't know what is wrong, but no way is it that face heavy. Unless Rollins leaves as champion, I can't see any way Orton beats him, it would make zero sense.

I'll pick:

K-Swiss

Bellas

Big Show, as sort of a lifetime achievement award, Miz and Mizdow will have an important moment, but I doubt either will win

Rollins

Cena

Wyatt

Bryan(though I think this is a lot more up for grabs than people think, Ziggler or Ambrose could easily win, and then feud with Bryan)

Sting

Lesnar, and he leaves as champ

What I hope will happen, assuming my Shield reformation idea doesn't:

K-Swiss, with ease

Paige destroys everyone, including AJ

Goldust, especially if he is retiring soon, leading to a retirement vs title match with Stardust at extreme rules

Rollins, busts out the Phoenix splash again

Rusev, by submission, leading to Cena actually having character growth of any kind for the first time in a decade

Wyatt, gaining some of Taker's powers in the process

Stardust, just because it would be extremely unexpected, and Cody has been doing some amazing work with this character, plus its a ladder match so it doesn't hurt Bryan, Ambrose etc.

Sting, this is the bathroom break match to me, my only hope is that HHH loses so badly that it ends the whole authority storyline, but in a way where we don't get stuck with a new person of the week in charge. Just start having regular matches happen with no explanation.

Lesnar, wins by breaking Reigns arm in the Kimura like he did to HHH at Summerslam in 2012. Rollins cashes in and loses after being F-5'd from the ring through the announce table, which makes every highlight reel going forward.

 
Stardust is horrible. Waste of a great talent in Cody. Hoping Sunday is the last we have to endure that garbage.

I want to see Cody vs Dustin at SS.

 
Reason I picked Orton is because I get the feeling Vince likes the vets to have their way at Mania. Kind of his nod that they are still valuable in his eyes.

But do think Rollins needs a big win.

I disagree that Stardust is bad, but I would love to see it just be Cody vs Dustin. On the flip side, if we could get Dusty all made up as Dreamdust as special ref or something, it'll all be worth it.

Straight Shoot with a pretty good WM preview with Sam Roberts on the show.

Tried to listen to Taz's preview because he had Jim Ross on, but stopped halfway. I really wish someone would use the content of Taz's podcast but without Taz.

You guys in here may have seen this already, but my wrestling fan friends have been talking about this video for a month now. Its "an WWE insider" talking about the Royal Rumble. My understanding is most fans weren't happy about how that show went.

Couldn't pay me enough to listen to Taz.

How he's lasted as long as he has announcing. I'm no Einstein, but he makes you feel dumber just listening to him.

So, according to a friend of mine attending this year, Bo Dallas returned at Axxess this year, during his match the crowd was chanting "WE BO-LIEVE" he yelled back at them "Stop, that's too much pressure"

As funny as that shtick was, it was impossible to ever take that guy seriously. Comedy acts without any kind of force behind them can never get beyond lower/mid-card status. The Bo-Lieve gimmick was destined to fail.

I think there's at least 1 interesting guest/year. This year not only is there not one of those since Macho has passed, but I can't imagine a worst set of inductees.

They're inducting too many a year & the Mr T's/Arnolds of the world ruin it with their speeches that wrestling fans don't give 2 ####s about.

WWE just whiffed on jobbing him out previously. Guy can easily be a main event talent.

I really hope he's not sporting that ridiculous blonde hair he was a few weeks ago with Tyler Breeze.
