***Official Pro Wrestling Thread*** (6 Viewers)

Awesome show. Awesome ending.

The Reigns-Brock portion was absolutely brilliant and incredibly entertaining.

For as how ####ty the product is weekly, this was as good of Wrestlemania in quite awhile. Quite a surprise.

Thought the main event was booked tremendously.

Really glad they having spots of Attitude Era recently.

Explain something to me here, and I'm not judging. Just legitimately curious. What is the appeal for grown men in watching wrestling matches where the outcomes are scripted? I mean, I loved the WWF when I was 9 years old but I don't understand the continued attraction. I had to take the night off from Twitter because Wrestlemania was filling up my timeline. I find it fascinating.

Most of us still act like we are 9yrs old.

Seriously, I don't know. My Dad got me hooked on it when I was very young and I haven't let go.

Breaking Bad and the Sopranos were scripted, but I still wanted to see what happened next.

Suspension of disbelief is fairly powerful.

Pretty terrible analogy. I want to know the sporting events I'm watching are on the up and up. That goes for being pissed at players for throwing games.

I thought when Rollins went on so early in the show he'd have a great chance to cash in, and when he lost I thought it was even more likely. But I didn't think it would go down like that. Perfect ending. Everyone looks like a million bucks.

Raiders fans dress like wrestlers and the team stinks. You know the outcome of those games and seasons before they start. Why do you watch?

Just mindless fun. It's a tv show.

Sporting event? Lol. It's a soap opera with some great athletes.

You're looking at this as a game or a match.

To me it's entertainment, on the par of a male soap opera.

The spots people cheer for are no different being amazed at a stunt in a movie.

No. It's actually a pretty legitimate analogy. It's entertainment, with athletes playing the parts. WWE hasn't pretended to be a real sport in over 40 years.

Meh. The good is you set up some nice programs, namely with Orton or reigns right off the bat.

However, I now don't get this effort to establish the midcard belts in one fell swoop if your title is now back on tv each week.

We go from literally these belts being meaningless since wrestlemania 17 to now being put over hard.

Lesnar had won the fan base over. Let him run with it.

Mainly from a context of booking wrestlemania 32 and trying to sell 100k tickets in jerry world.

Maybe not lame but I actually felt bad, that was the most I was ever into.a reigns match. He laid it in as stone cold would say and he did the job in the end.

People would have bought a rematch with Brock next year.

And going back, we jobbed out taker to have Brock screwed out of the belt

WWE isn't a "sporting event". It's a soap opera.

Thank you for bringing this up. No one has ever mentioned this before and I did not realize the show was scripted. I'm wondering about Game of Thrones now. Crap, porn might not even be real. I am going to have to rethink my life.
