Didn't bother to watch anything before the Rumble. I guess if they're going to debut AJ cold, may as well be in Orlando and early in the Rumble. Not a fan of it personally as it limits what he does best....and just doesn't come off as a star with his stature amongst giants. He's not going to be get a big reaction (and I don't think what he got tonight was big) to crowds around the country. Hope they have some vignettes to give audience a reason to care and some background.

I'll change my tune if he wins or winds up in a storyline when this Rumble ends that puts him in top storyline.

I'm nowhere near the fan that you guys are, but I pay a decent amount of attention to WWE and that's about it. I wouldn't have known about AJ Styles, Zayn or Balor if it wasn't for this thread. That has to mean something "in the big picture".

There has to be a better way to introduce these guys than in the rumble and a forgotten elimination

To TigerFan, yes it's called the lost art of vignettes leading up their debut. I agree whole heartedly that this match isn't where you debut AJ Styles (You, like all casual fans, have no clue who AJ Styles is)
