awesome, Ill check it out.... for now tho... focusing on Legend's House.
Legend's House was ok.  I don't think it lived up to its potential, but it was interesting.  My favorites from what were on the Network when I last watched were the Legends of Wrestling round tables.

At least you'll be able to root for Cesaro in the LoN when he comes back and replaces the departing King Barrett.
Please don't give them an ideas....

I've given up on the idea they'll ever make Cesaro a main eventer. They already missed that boat. But that League of Nations has been a failure from get go. Thought they missed HUGE not having Jericho join them a month+ (?) ago on Raw. And as we know now, Jericho wound up turning anyway.

I have some friends going to the Raw after WM.  They're gonna try to get an "Eric Embry" chant going for Roman Reigns.  I'd be surprised if any current fan would even know who he is.

Creating matches 2 weeks out from Mania with that IC title mess. 13 days. That is literally one show, likely one segment left to build that match of randoms. Zero buildup. They forgot any more buildup on the Kalisto/Ryback match created 2 weeks ago. Zero buildup. Why the hell should I be excited about these matches creative? I'd love to know.

Love Vince. Could listen to him every day. The knowledge that flows from his mouth is unrivaled. Lot of people in and out of the industry have beef with him, but I have a difficult time finding stuff to disagree with him about.

Smackdown spoiler:

Paul Heyman and Brock Lesnar come to the ring for a promo on Dean Ambrose to end the show. The Wyatt Family interrupts first and surround the ring, then Ambrose's music hits and he hits the ring. Lesnar and Ambrose work together to beat down The Wyatts. Ambrose then attacks Lesnar with a kendo stick. Lesnar lays out Ambrose with a clothesline then hits the F5 to end SmackDown.

Just amazing to me they havent been able to come up with ANYTHING for the Wyatts going into their best "PPV" of the year.  Bray's back must be much more ####ed up than anyone knows. (Would explain his lengthy absences over the last year+) I get they'll probably put Strowman over big in the Battle Royal but this is the best they can do with them??

In better news: Vince Russo audio version coming to Podcast One. My favorite wrestling (video) podcast, bro.

I've never been able to take Eric Young seriously. It's hard to go from comedic wrestler to straight wrestler without a hit to your credibility. I see him working as a heel and go

I guess this means that Beer Money will be dropping the tag straps this week.
I thought his "World Elite" heel stuff was good as a mouthpiece. I think its the right time to go for him. Wasnt a fan of his current run either. As you mentioned, hard to take him seriously in that role.

I realize James Storm just resigned with TNA. Really wonder how long of that deal he actually sees with Roode gone. It's obvious the company if (finally) going cheap and young. I'm just not sure at this point if it really matters. They have little or no incoming money. Problem is for them, no matter how much their product improves.......people have long ago stopped watching their product. The TNA 'brand' is dead and thought as a failure. I think they'll be online only very soon (if not gone entirely). Can't see PopTV sticking with them long at what they're drawing now.

JMO We'll be seeing the Hardys back in WWE by the end of the year. Them, Storm and Abyss (tenure) are likely the last 'big money' guys left.

I don't see the WWE having any interest in Abyss, anymore (IIRC, he had his opportunity and passed it up in 2006).  He's basically the worst of Kane and Mankind combined into one, all the way down to the gimmick.  Granted, I haven't watched any of his stuff in nearly a decade, so he may have gotten better.

  Yeah WWE won't have any interest at all in Abyss. As you mentioned, his window of opportunity is long long long gone with WWE. He's been stale for nearly a decade. Not to mention he's never been a draw.

Meant to say Hardys, Storm, Abyss are the last of the guys TNA is paying big money.  (It's obvious they're finally cutting off their guys they were paying big money)

Abyss is/was a boring nothing. Joseph Park however was gold, and probably the best thing TNA did story wise this decade.

They might be able to build this thing back up, but it would take a huge rebrand. I mean, there are guys there that you can use like The Miracle, EC3 and what not. Their women's division isn't all that deep, but between Kim, Sky, Raine you have a start of something you can build on.

Plus, if you've this lovely lady on your roster, you're doing good in my book.

I feel like they've been building the IC title match up for a while now... it wasn't officially announced but they've been having KO/Zayn/Miz and Neville battling each other for a few weeks.  The other 3 guys was an odd twist but I thought it made for a funny segment at least.

  New website announced today: russosbrand.com

Free audio podcasts daily via PodcastOne    or $2.95/mo for daily video podcast versions of those (plus other additional exclusive video podcasts weekly) through russosbrand.com / Relm Network.

The best wrestling personality podcast out there IMO. No one else comes close to amount of content.  (And best of all, not on the WWE's payroll)

I've watched clips of the last few weeks. It's not bad. I'd even say better than most everything viewing on Raw recently. it's just all their old audience (when they had peak of over 2 mil viewers a handful of years ago) have left. No one knows what channel they're on, no one cares at this point to look for it. The TNA brand is thought of as a failure and incompetent.

Dixie Carter buried the company and John Gaburick assisted to dig further. Here's the problem: They've had months and months and months of down periods to rebrand the past TWO years!!! (between Spike/Destination America deals AND between DA/POPTV deals)

They can dump all the payroll they want to at this point. The audience is gone and they don't have the incoming revenue. I'd be shocked if it didn't become an online only product by the end of the year (if they stay in business). I just can't imagine ANYONE buying this company, re-branding it (which you're really starting from scratch) and making it profitable.

Even as good as Lucha Underground is, it just isn't the best time to have started a wrestling promtion and it's just not attracting much of a live viewership. Good for them getting Netflix deal. It's likely the only way a wrestling company outside of WWE is going to succeed now and the future.

Aztec Warfare was off the hook again! And El Jefe Dario Cueto is back with his brother.

And yes, Rey Mysterio had to try the 619.

Really like the Dean Ambrose training video published via YouTube today. Why doesn't WWE just put stuff like this on RAW. Balance this with 5 minutes of Brock flipping over buildings and tearing trees out of the ground, and you have two compelling segments done.

That was pretty great, and its unfortunate if that doesn't make Raw. Just giving even the tiniest glimpse into a characters mindset and background like that goes a long way toward getting people to root for that person.

Makes me want to watch that match at Mania.  Better than anything I've seen on Raw in the last....who knows.  Other than Shane's comeback, which has completely fizzled.

And Taya made sure that didn't happen. Also, I think I   her.

I marked out when El Jefe returned! Matanza is a bit disappointing, but with the build he's gotten, you just knew whoever they got to play him wouldn't live up to the hype. He reminds me of Abyss with the selling skills of Road Warrior Hawk. The bridge suplex sequence was nice with Joey Ryan was nice, though and he showed me enough to think he could be decent. The standing shooting star was impressive.

RAW has been a slog lately, but the actual Mania card is coming together nicely, in my opinion.

Taker vs Shane, Hell in a Cell, Loser Leaves Town, control of RAW on the line
- it's the Sting vs HHH match from last year...expect them to throw everything at this match...multiple run ins (Cena? Orton? Wyatt family? the Rock?), big swerves, a crazy spot or two. I dunno, I think it's going to deliver.

Brock vs Ambrose, street fight
- the Brock match is the new Taker match. This match puts Ambrose in the best possible position to compete, look awesome, and (gulp) win(?).

HHH vs Roman Reigns
- I hope the crowd gives this a chance...one thing for sure: it's going to be physical.

Owens vs the world, IC title ladder match
- put a bunch of cool guys in match with ladders and let them go nuts. How can Stardust top his gear/ladder from last year?

Y2J vs AJ Styles
- I think they pulled these two into their own match instead of the IC match so they could really shine. Jericho gets to use his peak form, and Styles already has a wicked pop.

Charlotte vs Sasha vs Lynch
- the 4+ hour run time should allow them to get 15 minutes and tell a decent story. We've seen what they can do in NXT. Personally, I want more NXT style brutality (think Sasha vs Bayley) and less WWE dancy/flippy stuff.

Kalisto vs the Ryback
- nice early show underdog story match for the kids.

New Day vs League of Nations
- I think this can work if they go Survivor Series style for the tag belts and New Day gets a surprise partner. New Day is losing steam...they need a menacing opponent

Other stuff: Show vs Kane vs the Outcasts in the battle royal; other tag team stuff, other diva stuff, Wyatt involvement somewhere, the Rock? Austin?

I'm going to kick back, crush some beers, yell at my TV, and have a good ol time.

They did a good job keep Matanza hidden until he was needed. Based on his look, I wasn't expecting much, so I was somewhat impressed with his moves. He's no luchadore, but that's not why he's there. I fully expect a confrontation between him and Mil Muertes at some point very soon.

Of course, Joey Ryan handcuffing himself to the railing when he came down was :lmao:  worthy. That was great shtick right there; the downside was that it allowed him to get the crap beat out of him with nowhere for him to run. :lmao:  Plus, it helped sell that Matanza is a beast by literally breaking the railing to "free" him so he could get squashed.

I'm not sure why Famous B and Brenda were there; he wasn't wrestling and his only part in the show was to give Joey Ryan his business card. Maybe he'll call 423-GET-FAME.

I'm lazy. Is season one of Lucha still available on You Tube or do I need to shell out money to iTunes?

I'm ready to binge watch and get caught up. Plus dip my toe in New Japan and ROH.

What if 'then' best friends Hogan and Bubba the Love Sponge worked up this whole thing......

Interesting.

Would be the greatest work in wrestling history. And isn't far fetched for what was occurring during that time period. I'm really starting to come around to the idea of it. "Kim Kardashian had a leaked sex tape and made millions brother. Just imagine what Hulk Hogan can make with a leaked sex tape brother...."

The appeal will certainly be interesting on this. Brother.

Was watching ROH yesterday afternoon. Cheesburger was in a match with some jobber when ANX comes to the ring and interferes in the match, costing Cheeseburger the win. Then, they start talking to him and trying to convince him that the fans don't like him (actually, he's over with the fans because of his size - he's like 5'8" 165 pounds...maybe). Then ANX starts reading hate tweets they've gotten.  :lmao:

Then they beat up Cheeseburger.

Listening to some old Straight Shoot stuff from WM31 to get ready for WM32 week. It's a similar group of guys...of all of the guys in last year's match, only Ambrose has ascended (Bryan's injury, or course, messed a lot of things up).

WM31: Bad News Barrett (c), Daniel Bryan, Dolph Ziggler, Dean Ambrose, Stardust, Luke Harper, R-Truth

WM32: Kevin Owens (c), Sami Zayn, Dolph Ziggler, Sin Cara, Stardust, Zach Ryder, the Miz

Wrestlemania Go Home show tonight!!

The fact this thread is on page 5 should tell you all you need to know.
:goodposting:

They put on a surprisingly good Mania last year IMO but that its gone from 'must watch live' to 'may watch if got nothing better do'. I imagine they'll surprise this year too with a good show but it's just so difficult to watch this w/o any real storylines. The ones they even rarely do there's very very rarely continuation of them. I watch clips more than anything anymore (or tops of the hour when I remember), but it is just me or has this Shane/Taker thing come to a fizzle? Have we even learned any backstory of why Taker would just show up out of blue? Still the match I'm looking forward to but it's lost some of his initial luster IMO.

I think they've absolutely got to do something at Mania or Raw day after with Reigns. All the future contenders are looking to be on the face side (Ambrose/Cena/returning Rollins). One thing I'd look at doing is having Reigns absolutely brutalized  by HHH (perhaps others as well) tonight on Raw..........and no one comes to his aid. Night after Mania, Ambrose comes out to congratulate Reigns on title win and then the turn occurs. "You weren't there for me last week. I sure the hell don't need you now". I'm sure one can incorporate Usos in here if desired but I'd keep the focus on this one night just to Reigns. (And turn Usos down the road...)

I'd like to see them provide a little more juice to the Undertaker/Shane match tonight.  They kinda/sorta explained that Vince is holding the Undertaker's' future over his head, but at his age he doesn't need this.  There should be more to it than that.

They should turn Reigns heel at WM (or the next night on Raw) and then work toward a Reigns/Cena match at SummerSlam for the title.  Cena has been in the same boat with the fans, but never took the easy way out.  He could call him a coward and a sell out.   Although I suppose that wouldn't be popular with the smarks.  ;)

Speaking of ROH, I think the Dalton Castle gimmick is one of the best in the world right now; right behind Naito.

That dude pulls it off really well.

I guess there's the answer who will be last match. HHH-Reigns. Cole seemed to drive that point into the ground 75 times during the last segment.  They're trying so hard to get people to care. They just don't. I'm looking forward to Raw after Mania (hoping they change something up with Reigns) than the match itself.

Shane-Taker was solid. Better than what they've been doing. Even if it's just flat lazy writing. You're "Vince's #####" has been the only thing they've said week after week. Shane came up short on the elbow but unbelievable athletic ability for a 46 year old man that has no need to be doing spots like that at this stage of his life. Particularly as a non-wrestler who hasn't taken bumps in many years.

I really didn't have a great desire to watch this show so only caught beginning and end. I give credit to anyone that's able to watch this product for 3+ straight hours.

What's the point of New Day vs LON?  We've seen it twice for the titles with the same outcome. We've seen singles matches, tag matches, six man tags on Raw and Smackdown. This isn't for the tag straps so there is no point.

New Day's transformation from awesome heel group, with Big E/Kofi looking like potential all time great champs into this pink unicorn, ### shaking, booty garbage might be the biggest WTF I've seen in years. They are cringe worthy at this point.

  Just thinking how they'd legitimately come up with a way for Ambrose to beat Lesnar (even in this gimmick match) is funny. Ambrose, who just lost clean, to soon to be 47 year old exec HHH. Common response will be "Well let's hope they make Ambrose look good in a loss". Didn't they just have that same opportunity at Roadblock with him?

Reading some results from tonight. And the 5th member of babyface diva team at Mania........Eva Marie :lmao:  I'm convinced Vince has no clue of absolutely anything (or anyone) going on with NXT.

It's not Rock. It's not Austin. It's not HBK I'm hoping to see. It is.....

I like New Day. They're over as hell. Can't picture them dropping the straps anytime soon.
