Trying to get tickets was an adventure because the website was so bogged down. Had a couple chances for single seats, but I decided to pass in the end. Might regret that.
I'm sure you'll be able to get tickets off stub hub before the event if they allow it. I'd go myself but the people I go with one of the guys is older and doesn't travel well on planes and another works for Verizion at a corporate store and apparently getting time off during that time of year is a #####. The other guys 4 plus myself from my own store which could be a tough sell as well.

Cheapest ticket on Stubhub now is $189. :(

Russo apparently made some disparaging remarks about Brandi awhile back that Cody and most of Bullet Club did not take a liking too. According to the actual story Russo was never invited to anything dealing with the event. When he first heard about it he offered his services. Since then he's trying to get attention to get on the show.
Oh, snap. He made the mistake of takin' 'bout my home girl. If true, I don't blame Cody one bit.

I watched the presser this afternoon. Two announcements regarding the actual card:

1) NWA president Billy Corrigan came out and stated the NWA title will be defended at ALL IN. Nick Aldis will take on Cody Rhodes.

2) Rey Mysterio is now on the card.

3) It was previously announced, but CM Punk will be signing at Starcast on 8/31.

4) Tickets are priced from $28 in the nosebleed seats to $153 at ringside. The Young Bucks said they were priced so they get the 10,000 fans.

There were calls for Flip Gordon to be booked. A “reporter” from the Flat Earth News asked if Flip was going to be booked. The reporter was discovered to be Flip & then Hangman Page put him through a table. :lmao:
One other item I forgot to mention - Cody and IIRC both of the Young Bucks have RoH-exclusive contracts for North America. Cody mentioned they had to seek permission from RoH to "break" their contract to do this. RoH gladly gave it and have given them some guidance (he didn't specify).

Tickets sold out in 30 minutes. From reading their social media, Bullet Club guys are   and I don't blame them. From a marketing standpoint, they've been masterful teasing things and drawing it out to an appropriate point where people stay interested.

I'm not surprised they sold out so quickly. It was a perfect hype job.

To those trying to compare this to ROH or NJPW shows, I just don't think the circumstances compare. This was a one-time only, supercard type event. It had the added benefit of people wanting to be part of a milestone in that 10k number. I personally think they could have sold about 15-18k

I don't think Bucks and Cody would sniff anywhere close to 10k if they were running a promotion already and this was just a monthly card.

I agree and I think most (if not all) of those involved know this. I'm of the opinion that this is for an audience of one - Dave Meltzer.

Congrats to the Bucks and Cody and the others. Also not surprised they sold out so quickly. It's Indy-Wrestlemania, it's all the smarks wanting to shove it in Dave Meltzer's face, and it's going to be a great show with the BC and others at the top of their game. I'm just curious where they go from here. While Cody has said he doesn't want to run his own promotion, this can't be a one and done event, right?

Side note, already a huge fan of Something To Wrestle, I'm really fascinated with the man Conrad Thompson himself. Goes from "just a rasslin' fan", to hosting two to three of the biggest podcasts in sports entertainment, ending up on the WWE network, working along side the Bucks/Cody for Starrcast, has a museum worthy collection of memorabilia  and marrying a Flair daughter. Dude is working all the angles and has to be considered one of the more interesting? influential? powerful? people in the business?

Yeah Russo is getting into the territory of he thinks he can do whatever he wants and people will jump to work with him all because he wrote most of the storylines from the Attitude Era. However many people are finding out and realizing Russo is just a big jerk off who's incredible hard to work with. Spike canceled impact at the end of 2014 do to them resigning Russo. Someone I know who is close to Adam Cole said when he last talked to some of the guys in Bullet Club his impression of the Russo thing was that Vince was trying to mooch off their success and use the show as a stepping stone to get back into WWE or another promotion. How true that is I don't know but I wouldn't put it past Russo either.

Loved the Macho Man Podcast. Was pleasantly surprised with Prichard though. Never really thought Prichard was a great guy but his impersonations are spot on too. Yeah Conrad seems like a cool dude. wrestling fan turned co host of one of the bigger personalities in wrestling from the 80s and 90s. Probably one of the reasons I loved the Macho Man podcast was he was by far and away early on my favorite. I was never big into Hogan and during the time I got involved in watching ECW had just started airing locally here in Philly, Macho was doing commentary and then was reinstated while Hogan had was in his final years of wrestling for WWE. Maybe it was also because Savage got Miss Elizabeth as well.

Based on the early success, there is 0 chance this is a one and done deal.

It is also best for business.

I can't see it being a monthly ordeal, once a year would work. Good on them.

Especially if they do it away from WM weekend where it can stand on it's own. The smarts will be out in full force and I'm pretty sure the matchups will not suck.

Roman got booed out of the building and people chanting go away Bobby during the main event. WWE also tried to censor the negative crowd reactions to Reigns again. What a time to be a WWE fan

Nakamura vs Styles headlines Smackdown tonight. Winner chooses stipulation at MITB.
Never thought I'd say this, but I'm getting over two of the top 4 workers in the company fighting every damn week.

Give me a Nakamura beatdown of Anderson or something. Styles breaking violins. Can the stipulation be both guys wear cups?

House of Hardcore comes home to the 2300 Arena on Swanson St in South Philly this Saturday night. Not sure if I can go with this unfortunate fractured Toe. If my one buddy from work goes I'd be fine with it.

I would love to see the all-in boys make a push to run the Garden for next year.  WWE has been so bad to MSG in recent years, they would have nothing to lose to push to run it.  Either they say no and they get publicity for trying or they say yes and its the ultimate shot across the bow to the WWE

alternately, if they were ever able to get Punk, I think they could run a 30,000 seat soccer stadium, something like Red Bull Stadium in Harrison, NJ, maybe Balboa where the Chargers were playing

WWE has exclusive rights to MSG and many other arenas.

What are the terms of this though?  The WWE is down to 1-2 house shows per year there, a far cry from the days when they'd a show every 3-4 weeks.

What other arenas are exclusives?  I believe the philly spectrum may have been back in the day, when the NWA would run the civic center but I wasn't aware of other exclusive deals.

A lot actually.

Not sure if it was intended this way, but I read this using Joel Gertner's voice....well well well.

:D

Do we know who?

I think its an easy agreement to enter into with no number 2 out there.
I don't have access to it currently, but, it was stated in JR's book. It even went so far that Vince locked down other promotions after the DX WCW tank invasion as to they couldn't do a show 30 days before or after in certain venues/cities. It was some pretty good info.

now that I do recall hearing, likewise hearing MSG had exclusivity.   MSG today, you wonder.  They seem so bottom line driven, which is why the WWE doesn't run it often.  But if I were them I wouldn't appreciate Brooklyn being the defacto home now.  Raw 25 would have been much better at MSG with the proximity to the Manhattan Center

Good points, but the Brooklyn crowd is always on fire. The NXT Takeovers there are just insane. I also do not hold a business degree. :D

I don't know who is telling the truth, or who is lying, but I am finding 83 Weeks very entertaining. The fact that Eric Bischoff will (has no choice) to discuss what wrestler's were making at the time, the fact that he will take blame for crappy angles/storylines (long pause......"Yep") and that fact he will bury people with no regrets is if anything entertaining.

Is 83 weeks how long they were on top?

Yep. Although the stories are also going to be going from before and after those 83 weeks. So far, they have done The Creation of the NWO, Bret Hart in WCW and The Finger Poke of Doom. Honestly, I was not even watching wrestling during this time, but Bischoff telling his side of things, and Conrad doing his great shtick makes for entertaining radio.

If the rumored deal for the new tv contracts are true, I'd like to see them make a play at putting Wrestlemania on a major 4 network, like the Super Bowl.

I was about 20 at the time and a buddy asked if I was watching these Outsiders guys on WCW.  Had no idea what he was talking about.  Started watching with him.  Will never forget Mysterio being javelined into a trailer.  We bought the Bash where Hogan turned.  It was bedlam in that apartment.  Pretty much that whole next year, leading up the the lame-### Starcade where Sting finally won the belt, was glorious.  And from there it was a steady decline.  But, that did lead to me watching WWE and DX/Austin/Rock/Taker/Mankind which was an amazing Attitude Era.  :)

Might need to reduce it from 6 hours, or put some of the matches on the "pregame" that leads into it.

That will never happen. It sounds like Fox is Getting Smackdown but RAW might go to NBC now? Who knows. I think Fox would be great for WWE especially on the main channel. They can then have like B and C shows on FS 1 and 2. Basically take UFC's time slots. Plus its a new audience

I don't mind long PPVs as long as I'm entertained. Heck Wrestle Kingdom is almost 5 hrs and I got no problem with it since I'm entertained throughout

Raw is staying on USA. Smackdown is moving elsewhere. From what I hear.

I heard RAW might move to NBC directly. However rumor has it that WWE might be shopping smackdown around to get a better overall deal to stay with NBC. It's their way or saying if we can't have the deal we want you'll only get one show. Also heard Smackdown might move to 3 hrs unlike the last rumors of Raw moving back to 2 hrs.

NBCUniversal is a parent company of USA Network.

I know they are. I'm just saying NBCU seems like they want to put RAW on the main USA channel. From what I've heard Vince wants both Raw/Smackdown on NBC main but NBC wants to keep one on USA. So Vince is Shopping Smackdown around. In the long run I think they either stay with NBC or move to Fox on a very lucrative deal since Fox needs to add something to what they are losing in the UFC time slots now.
