Fatal 4 way for AEW All Atlantic Champion

Miro Bulgara, vs Pac England vs  Stone Pitbull Ishi Japan vs Maliaki Black

NJPW IWGP Heavyweight Title

Jay White C vs Okada Vs Hangman Vs Cole
Penta couldn't be in the AA championship match because of politics (his association with AAA).  That would've been another level of slobber knocker.

The lead up the IWGP title was not good.  White claims he the reason AEW exists, he's the one pulling the strings, he can choose his opponent, etc.  And yet THIS is the match?  What champ IRL opts to have three challengers over one? SMH

Egad. They’re going make a big deal of Ric Flair’s last match.   It’s no surprise Conrad Thompson has a tie-in.
TBH I’m not sure I want to see Ric wrestle one last time…and this is coming from a huge Flair mark.

When he wins he gets to claim he beat 3 other guys in one night showing he is the best.

FTR winning the IWGP tag team gold (and keeping their ROH straps). Hope they get to go across the ocean for some defenses.

i like to “watch pro wrestling” (all as one word .com), but you have to reset about every 15 min.
Thanks.  I usually go with "watch wrestling" and then pick through the various links, today they were all glitchey.  I found one through yours that stayed on through the Cesero match.

Fun little PPV.

The four-way was probably my favorite match. Okada has Rock level charisma, and everything he does is just a joy to watch. Doing the NJPW camera tricks for him was a nice touch. I personally liked the older, darker Switchblade character over what Jay White is doing now, but him is still amazing.

Rosa v. Storm was awesome, but I would have put the belt on Storm. I love Rosa, from back at local shows through her time in the NWA, but something is just off with her as champ. Toni Storm needs a long title where she runs through the entire roster.

Sting diving off the stage at his age is amazing. Scary, but amazing.

Can we tell Jon Moxley he doesn't have to bleed for every match?

I think I lied about my favorite match. Orange Cassidy v. Wil Ospreay is everything I want in a wrestling match.

Claudio (Cesaro) got the biggest pop of the night and earned every bit of it in his match.

That was the best wrestled card I have attended. The crowd was ready to cheer for any- and everything, and yet all participants earned their accolades imo.

There were only two obvious botches: the restart of the count in the tag 3-way and the finish to the IWGP 4-way. One was quite easily forgiven for those there live since they popped huge for FTR getting the eventual win.

Orange Cassidy vs Will Ospreay was my match of the night, a standout performance among several other standout performances.

The only two matches I would consider of a quality "fine" were on the Buy-In, and yet the two other matches on the Buy-In were awesome. Just top-to-bottom great matches.

What a success. I honestly think they could pack the house of a huge stadium for another crossover show if they headline it with Omega vs Okada IV.

SummerSlam at Nissan Stadium right here in Nashville is coming up next! Not sure what our next wrestling travel might be; I am eyeing the potential of San Antonio for the 2023 Royal Rumble as we have never visited there before, which makes it a prime candidate.

Totally forgot you were going. I have to rewatch the last 2 matches as I fell asleep. I got home late from my birthday dinner and had the PPV ordered so was watching from the beginning.

Osprey v Cassidy I had a sneaky feeling could be MOTN.

I agree Storm should've won and something is just off with Rosa as Champ. I like her but as Champ something just doesn't feel right.

My only big beef is I feel it was too many multi man matches. Felt like one of the Big 4 PPV's in WWE where they try to get everyone on the show. I think if they did a 2 night event they'd have sold out both nights and could get more talent on without packing the card.

I Cried when I saw SHibata come out though.

I'm super happy for Claudio as now a lot more mainstream fans can really appreciate what a great talent he really is and he's in a great spot with BPCC. I would've been pissed if it was Johnny Gargano. One of my favorites in ROH back in the day too.

It was a really good Wrestling PPV though

WWE and Vince had requested Big Show, Jericho, Danielson etc for some sort of cameo's comments for the Cena thing weeks ago. Tony Khan approved. Meanwhile Broadie Lee died and Vince won't let Bray and Braun do even a simple video tribute to Brodie Lee because he didn't want to give his competition ratings. Shows the difference between both men.

What was the Cena thing?

What a fantastic show.  I don't know that I'd call the IWGP 4 way a botch though.  They had to head to the finish early due to Cole's injury.  It definitely was an odd looking ending at the time though.

And it ain't a Moxley match unless he's gigging the #### out of himself for no reason :lmao:   The guy literally doesn't think his match is complete unless he's bleeding.  At least that was the only match with color this time.

He also wrestles for Garbage Can Wrestling, so this is not surprising.

Blackpool Combat looks like it borrowed some toys from CZW/GCW tonight. All that was missing was a few lightubes, barbed wire table and maybe a ladder. Oh yeah and a pizza cutter and glass door. Can't really complain though.

I don't know what posessed Claudio to choose that entrance music, but it's ####### awful lol. Sounds like a carnival.

Yeah they'll make that money back quick.

Not to mention he looked really really good for being his first WWE match I believe. Sure the hell looked like he belonged more than Dom Mysterio does to this day after years of training    Poor guy.

Him and Pat McAfee look like they've been doing it for years and "get it" a lot more than 95% of the performers today

Adesanya is next to go to WWE.  Vince, Steph, and Trips at the UFC.  Going to offer him more money than he can refuse.  Rebuilding the brand with "real" athletes.

Anyway, that is what my sources are telling me.

Ruh-roh George.  VKM has paid $12 million to 4 women total to keep them quiet.

From Deadspin:

The 76-year-old’s largest alleged settlement is a $7.5 million payment to a former wrestler who claims McMahon coerced her into performing oral sex on him before a subsequent demotion. According to this former wrester, McMahon demoted her and then later declined to renew her contract with WWE in 2005 after resisting further sexual encounters. The unnamed wrestler and her attorney allegedly went to McMahon in 2018 to negotiate the payment for silence.

Also released as part of Friday’s report was an alleged 2008 non-disclosure agreement from a former company contractor, who presented WWE with unsolicited nude photos of McMahon she allegedly received from him. She allegedly told people within the company to not only have received the photos from McMahon, but that he allegedly sexually harassed her on the job. McMahon allegedly paid her around $1 million to remain quiet.

A 2006 agreement was also allegedly made with a former manager, who worked for WWE for a decade before McMahon initiated a sexual relationship with her. She was also allegedly paid $1 million for her silence. The original hush payment to become public was a $3 million pact made this January between McMahon and a former company paralegal for a consensual sexual relationship.
I'm sure some internet sleuth could figure out the names.

Vince is finally getting his #METOO moment. Remember when we were surprised this didn't happen originally? I basically said he probably has people paid off etc and then Wham this all happens. Considering the type of programming WWE runs today Vince has to go. People won't invest in a company with a Sexual predator near the top that is public about their behavior

Konan has confirmed reports Santana and Ortiz aren't on good terms. I've heard talk about this but I haven't heard specifics on why they aren't on good terms and if it's business or personal related or a combination of both. Santana got a serious knee injury at Blood and Guts and he tweeted 126 days a few weeks ago which is Sept 1 which is believed to be when his AEW contract runs out. There's been rumors that AEW may keep Ortiz and push him as a singles competitor but with a loaded roster they'd have to do it soon. I've heard rumors that had Santana not gotten hurt that AEW was possible planning Santana and Ortiz split storyline and doing a Loser leaves AEW type thing at All Out. Santana would extend his contract by 3 days with the PPV on Sept 4 to complete this. Now with the injury they may not do the angle. Both could be released

Jon Moxley was on his wife's podcast for an interview almost 2 hrs long a few days before Forbidden Door. It was a really good podcast going into Moxley's life where he talks about rehab, helping young wrestlers and how the BPC came about and how Regal got involved.

He also talks about how he was one of the main reasons AEW and NJPW got back to a healthy relationship given that he had already started working for NJPW before signing with AEW. It's a really good interview and considering Mox doesn't doing many interviews this is a rare thing to hear/see. They also moved for Las Vegas to Cincy during his rehab to be closer to home for both. Jon also talks about being a father now, getting help for addiction getting back into ring shape when he came back.
