VICE released a documentary about Vince McMahon and the allegations made towards him. The documentary is now available on YouTube.

It previously aired on the VICE network.

RUSH confirmed on his official X account today that he tore his hamstring in his second Continental Classic match and will be missing some in-ring time to recover.

WWE have announced that Money in the Bank 2024 will emanate live from the Scotiabank Arena in Toronto Canada.

Mrs. hags taps out at the 3 hr mark. Riding solo for the mains.
Did you go to sleep early and set an alarm for the show or just stayed up all night. I’m curious how some people do this. Depending on my living situation and work situation next year with the 4th on a sat I might just go to bed early and set an alarm for the show
I just mark it on my calendar that the 3rd is a nap day. I laid down to attempt sleep for 5 hours, probably managed 2.5 of actual restful napping. Then I napped for another 2-3 hrs after it was done. Hopefully tonight my sleep schedule isn't too wrecked.

A round up of this morning's very eventful Mercedes Mone news:

WWE sources send out information to be in the Friday morning wrestling news cycle.

- They confirm the previously reported Fightful negotiation timeline with PWInsider.

Fightful reported WWE and Mercedes were in negotiations before Christmas. Fightful reported talks fell apart.

But WWE framed this information in a way that makes it seem she's still negotiating with them. Even saying they felt confident she would return to WWE.

(Fightful learned on December 29 that WWE and Mercedes were no longer in talks, and later learned she was expected to go to AEW.)

- WWE sources tells the Wrestling Observer that they feels AEW trying to get Mercedes is a punch back for them taking Andrade.

Then AEW contacts PWInisder, reaffirms they've been in contact with Mercedes. And that anyone "would be crazy to think they aren't in the hunt"

Now Andrew Zarian had previously said Mercedes/AEW was 90% done and this morning he clarified that means pretty much IS a done deal.

I just got back to work and had a 8 hrs shift on Wednesday so I was too tired I’m in the middle of it now watching little by little will finish that and watch new year dash after that tomorrow with being off

What's confusing about it? Aldis set up a triple threat to get an opponent for Roman at the Royal Rumble. Roman led the Bloodline down to beat everyone up after the match had gone on long enough for them to be easy pickings. Aldis punished Roman by making the Royal Rumble a four way since his match didn't get a winner.

NOAH has announced Kota Ibushi has been diagnosed with torn lateral ligaments in his right ankle, a ruptured right tibiofibular ligament (shin), and other injuries to his left leg which will be investigated further, and he will undergo surgery to his right ligament.

Breaking: Former WWE star Matt Riddle appeared at NJPW “New Year’s Dash” and challenged Tanahashi for the NJPW World Television Championship.

Tana then buries him with essentially admitting to the crowd I don’t know who the f**k that guy is!!! :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

Every freaking time a #1 contenders match is set up, RR runs in and jerks with it and ends up with a fatal four-way. From a logic standpoint, it makes RR look like an idiot.

WWE has always loved their fatal 4 ways and how I like to call them 3 way dances. Not sure why but most of the time unless done right it comes off sloppy. Like women’s first mania main event should’ve been Becky bs Rousey but they had to insert Flair in it for whatever reason.

Someone want to make sense of the Smackdown main event?
It was pretty dam funny. Most of the crowd was like huh? And then Tana takes the mic at the end and goes. Not sure who that guy is so now I gotta go home a research him.

I was never a riddle fan and given his legal issues shocked NJPW takes him. Japan as a whole takes pot pretty seriously and it’s why Matt Sydal aka Evan Bourne hasn’t been back in Japan since his arrest

On September 23, 2016, Korklan was arrested at the Kansai International Airport under suspicion of marijuana smuggling. According to local authorities, Korklan had 2.12 grams of liquid marijuana hidden within an electronic cigarette. Korklan was convicted in Osaka on October 13.[129][130] On December 1, it was reported that Korklan had pled guilty to the charges and accepted three years of probation as his sentence. After a verdict the following week,[131]Korklan was released from prison and returned to the United States on December 12

Fightful reports Gabriel Kidd's NJPW contract is set to expire this month.

This after it was revealed earlier this week that fellow Bullet Club members Clark Conners and Alex Coughlin's contracts were also up very shortly with NJPW.

Andrade El Idolo has been pulled from this weekend's 'GCW No Compadre' event.

On social media, the company announced that due to “circumstances out of control”, Andrade has been pulled from their upcoming No Compadre event

I am wondering if HHH painted himself in a corner with Rock willing to come back AND Punk coming back, when it comes to finishing Cody's story. Good problem to have, but you have five guys right now (Roman, Rock, Punk, Cody, Seth, all apologies to LA Knight and Randy Orton) that could fill the hypothetical four main event spots (two night one, two night two) for WM.

A Seth/Punk/Cody three-way doesn't sit right with me "finishing the story".

RR defends the title both nights? Saturday against Punk and Sunday against Rhodes?

What about Rock? No way Reigns/Rock goes down at EC, the time difference has that show on buttcrack of dawn.

I liked the idea of Rock costing Reigns at Rumble, with Orton winning. Then you could get Cody/Orton with Cody getting his story with his mentor, Reigns/Rock in blood feud with no belt on the line, and Punk/Seth. But it really feels like Roman needs the belt when facing Rock. Being at full Final Boss Mode, not the Tribal Chief that just got beat.

Whoo kid is 50 cent DJ for those who don’t know

DJ Whoo Kid, who was backstage at AEW “ALL IN” said on the “Jim and Sam Show” on Sirius XM yesterday that CM Punk was going ballistic backstage at the event and there was “lots of blood” during the scuffle with Jack Perry. Whoo Kid was there to take place in an entrance with Prince Nana and Swerve Strickland.

He confirmed that there was huge brawl and that the “big Hawaiian looking dude” was trying to break it up.

Kid says Tony Khan was screaming at Punk, saying something about him “ruining” this moment for everyone and to “get the f**k out there and wrestle.”

I meant to add he was in G unit as well

In an interview with Tokyo Sports, Katsuyori Shibata noted that if there was no place for him in NJPW, then there was no reason for him to be there.

“I can’t work as an affiliated fighter,” Shibata said. “I guess that New Japan’s decision is not wrong. But if there is no place for me, then there is no reason for me to be here. I’ve regained a lot of my senses after competing in AEW, and I feel like I want to finish my career here.”

Shibata also commented on his health, saying, “I’ve been checked by a doctor, and I’ve given him a medical certificate. If I don’t clear it, I can’t compete.”

It’s been 11 months since AEW signed a partnership with ESPN to broadcast AEW Exclusively in Australia, New Zealand and Pacific Islands.

Since then, AEW has become one of the highest rated wrestling & sports program in the respective countries. The company has been the ranked in the top 5 in terms of viewership almost every week for “Dynamite” and “Rampage”.

Jericho / Kylie Rae sexual assault allegations.

Fans chanted NDA, Kylie Rae and boo'd Jericho at the PPV. Tony Khan refused to answer if there was an investigation on 3 separate occasions in the post-PPV scrum as the alleged sexual assault incident happened in AEW at one of their post-show drug and alcohol parties & has been openly discussed for years by talent since the alleged incident occurred.
AEW played Jericho's music throughout his Dynamite run in to drown out crowd reaction SMH

Unfortunately for Khan it's only going to get worse when his niche audience is the socially awkward triggered cancel culture hardcore wrestling fan . There's no question Jericho will go heel in short order to try to make the boos towards him seem "natural"

Tony Khan goes unhinged again on Twitter after even the networks are clowning him now

Great move on his part given his own company is in the final year of their own TV deal. I'm sure his tirade will appeal to them. Get a PR rep FFS.

Best part of this is he's gotten Jinder over even more. He's done a better job of putting eyes on Jinder Mahal than he does even his own talent. :ROFLMAO:

Jericho gets knocked out on his own cruise.

I wouldn’t mess with mvp the dude legit did time

According to bodyslam.net, during Chris Jericho’s Rock ‘N’ Wrestling Rager: Part Deux - Second Wave, back in January of 2020 there was an altercation between Jericho & former WWE US Champion MVP, where there were heated words exchanged that resulted in MVP knocking Chris Jericho out cold.

PWInsider reports people in WWE are watching to see how Kevin Patrick does on Smackdown without Michael Cole steering the ship.

There's a feeling in some circles that Patrick really needs to step up as an announcer in the months ahead if he wants to maintain that position.

Peter Gabriel in 1980 predicted that Mercedes Mone would join AEW and wrestle Britt Baker:

Hans plays with Lotte, Lotte plays with Jane
Jane plays with Willy, Willy is happy again
Suki plays with Leo, Sacha plays with Britt
Adolf builds a bonfire, Enrico plays with it

Don’t anybody get their panties in a twist; I’m joking.

Ahead of his historic retirement match at Revolution, Pro Wrestling Illustrated has awarded Sting the Stanley Weston Award for Lifetime Achievement in Pro Wrestling. It is the highest honor of PWI.

People might take this name the wrong way

Wrestlevotes reports the tentative plan is for the trio of Bobby Lashley and the Street Profits to be known as “the Pride”.

There were plans in place to reveal that on last Friday's Smackdown but they were scrapped

In an episode of the Broken Skull Sessions, Steve Austin delved into the origins of Bayley's Hugger/Superfan character. Austin observed that the character was a natural fit, describing Bayley as "a sweetheart."

The development of the character was primarily thanks to Dusty Rhodes' patience and willingness to experiment. During a practice session, Dusty placed Bayley in front of the camera with Summer Rae and encouraged her to discuss her character and interact with Rae. The result was a dynamic reminiscent of Mickie James' stalker/superfan relationship with Trish Stratus. Bayley drew inspiration from Molly Shannon's character in the movie "Superstar," which Dusty and producer Chris both loved.

Austin inquired why the character resonated so well in NXT, suggesting that Bayley genuinely enjoyed portraying it. Bayley agreed, noting that her authentic connection with fans was similar to Lita's fan engagement years earlier. As for the iconic tassels, they were inspired by Bayley's admiration for Macho Man Randy Savage – she wanted to bring a unique twist to her attire, as she had never seen a female wrestler wear them before.

The original ECW held its very last event on this day, 23 years ago

For anybody interested here are the results for the full-show:

Danny Doring and Tommy Dreamer (subbing for Roadkill) defeated The F.B.I to retain the ECW Tag Team titles

The Sandman defeated Justin Credible in a Hardcore Match.

FTR on Eric Bischoff's AEW criticism:

Cash: "I think he’s really mad that Tony wouldn’t give him a job the few times he was there to collect the paycheck. Here comes bankruptcy number four!"

Dax: "I don't think Tony Khan gets the credit that he deserves because he afforded a lot of people, a lot of jobs, and a lot of income. I mean, even if you look outside of AEW, you got all these old-time, miserable podcasters like Eric Bischoff and some of the others who make a living just by going on their podcasts and burying Tony and AEW when they know that AEW is a place where business is thriving."

Charlotte Flair is now home following knee surgery and initial rehab in Birmingham, Alabama. If all goes well, she could be back in the ring by the Fall of 2024.

Off to Wrestlepalooza tonight at First Avenue. F1rst Wrestling consistently puts on amazing shows and I'm hoping the next two nights are no different. Orange Cassidy has been teased for tomorrow night. Tonight's card is largely hush hush as the event sold out way early. When that happens they don't tend to release much info to up the surprise factor. Will be interesting to see what they roll out - it'll probably be pretty great - in addition to the band and the burlesque between matches. Fun stuff.

“I understand it because when I was just a fan of wrestling, I was all about ECW and screw everybody else, but, I never said I wanted a place to shut down.

To me, when you sit there and say ‘Man, I hope AEW closes’ or ‘I hope WWE closes’ or whatever, you’re just a nasty human being, because people are losing their jobs. People with families will be losing their jobs.

It has nothing to do with tribalism, it’s you being nasty and not having an understanding what life is about.”

- Eddie Kingston (via ESPR)
