*** Official Rams at 49ers TNF Thread *** (1 Viewer)

Half time booze check-in:

Currently enjoying the local LA brew, Angel City LAger from Angel City Brewery.

What're the rest of you sippin' on this fine Thursday eve?
1792 bourbon, rocks. Such great value for the money.

Add in a Benadryl for my allergies and y'all are definitely gonna have to let me know what happened in the second half tomorrow. :)

And a quicker release, better OL, more weapons, and the look that the game has slowed down for him a little.

he's also facing the 49ers, so let's keep it in perspective.

2 bad defenses he's faced he looks great. Tough trench of schedule coming up.
And how much of that is stache-related?  Fisher would have kept building the team in a particular mold and getting particular pieces for that mold.  He'd never have pulled the trigger on a trade for Watkins.

And the quicker release and improved ability to process what's happening on the field... how much of that is based on having a QB-friendly coach who focuses on the most important position on the field instead of drawing up plays for Johnny Hekker?  So yes, he's looking better, and the opposition has something to do with that.  But I am certain that Goff would still not look competent if Fisher was the one running the show.

Of course, now that there's a coach who knows how to play offense, I want to go back and take Wentz like I wanted a year-and-a-half ago.

Great sell time for Gurley owners after this week. He's had a very easy schedule against run defenses through 3 weeks and the Rams playing 3 bad teams has created good game scripts for him. The rest of his schedule is going to get much harder. If you can sell high now, do it IMO.

Hey, all you Gurley owners... impress me by telling me you also have the Rams D and a share of their three sacks and two turnovers.

Yer scrubs, allya!

When you look at the rams now VS. last year, how on Earth would Steve Fisher ever get another job in this league?

Idk. He's the goal line back, he's catching passes between the 20's and in the RZ, he's got his confidence back and they're building the offense around him...even when the schedule gets tougher he should produce fantasy numbers. Obviously anyone is for sale at the right price, and he's not Bell or healthy DJ.

Was just at a bar that was serving a deconstructed Prairie Bomb.  They had it in its four main flavors: Chocolate, Coffee, Vanilla, and Chili.  At 13% ABV...

Titans guy here. I've marveled at Jeff's staying power for years. Truly amazing.
You* tried warning us.  But at the time, we were just so excited at getting a real coach and a change of culture that we didn't listen.  But we eventually got the message.

* Not you yourself, per se, but the royal you of Titans fans in general.

Personnel probably has a lot to do with it.

Quicker release & game slowing down seems like normal QB development.

So to summarize

1 the 49ers main concern is upgrading from Hyde. The rest of the team is no problem at all

2 Gurley is being held back by the offense and he's a great talent

3 Watkins won't do anything with Goff

Not that anyone asked (or would have cared) but I personally would have told you guys that.
