Tarkin didn't bother me at all, but Leia did a little, partly because her inclusion was gratuitous and partly because, well you know.Still astonished over the amount of butthurt over people not liking that people don't like Fake Tarkin. Guys, it's only a movie.
More generally, I don't think I want to see movies featuring CGI-ed versions of real-life people going forward. It's a little morbid and feels like we're replacing actual human beings with holograms. Rogue One was a perfectly okay experiment, because there was a good reason for wanting to include a guy from 30+ years ago and because we haven't had to worry about this particular event horizon until now. I'd just rather not see this become a standard thing.
Edit: Also, the job they did on Tarkin was outstanding. I knew it was CGI going in, but there is no way you would have picked up on that had you not already known. That's partly what worries me -- this sort of thing is actually do-able now in a way it never has been before.
