#49ers News: @MaioccoCSN is reporting that "something big could happen" for San Francisco after the loss to the Seahawks on Thursday night.
As long as the Yorks are in charge, nothing good will happen.
It's obviously impossible to force owners out, correct?
If there was a way I think someone would have done it by now.

Watching the post game show, I liked hearing Deion Sanders mention that the front office are idiots for letting Harbaugh go, and they should be ashamed of the product theyre putting out on the field (Im paraphrasing here). Called out on national TV...your move, Yorks.

I mean, if you were able to start boycotting the product and the stadium was at 25% to capacity, maybe you'd force their hand to sell?

They already got their stadium, PSL money, and are hosting thie years Super Bowl. I dount theyd care much if the stadium was empty on Sundays.

The problem is that you need an organized, sustained effort. Unfortunately, that's exceedingly difficult to orchestrate. I'd probably go so far to say it would pretty much be impossible, given how economics work regarding price-to-sales curves.

The only unlikely-yet-possible scenario I can think of would be for some insanely rich person to make an offer even the York's couldn't refuse, or eventually Jed comes into his own as he gains experience. After all, he really only has 7 years of NFL experience, and the same amount in a leadership role.

Experience is a wonderful thing. If he'd had the maturity and been a stronger leader, he could have forced Baalke and Harbaugh to get along. Just like a parent of strong willed, misbehaving kids - you grab them both by the ears and remind them who's in charge. But instead, York yielded to Baalke and got rid of Harbaugh, in the most weasle way possible by undermining him months in advance. Yep, he's got some growin' up to do.

My teams suck this year. But it has brought about good in USC getting rid of Sark and the Dodgers of Mattingly. Hopefully this 49ers season can also lead to good.

Love the ending:

Heres the rub, though. If you fire Baalke, youd have to replace him by hiring someone else. Do you trust yourself to make that hire, Jed?

How could you? Youre the guy who kept Baalke and parted ways with superstar head coach Jim Harbaugh.

Go ahead and fire yourself, too.
Perfect!

Once again, though, York gets the privilege of ownership. He can’t be fired. He should be, but he can’t be. This mess flows straight from the top. This is all on him.

The 49ers aren't unlucky. They didn’t guess wrong on this player or that. Their young quarterback “regressing” isn’t the problem. Jed York let the franchise crumble.

And crumble it has. This has to be rock-bottom. It can’t get worse. If it is, then the NFL might need to find a hidden by-law, or vote one in, to shove York out.
This needs to happen.

Davis traded To Denver. I hope he does well for them though I fear he's washed up.
I hope he gets cut for being a head case distraction. What'd we get in return, another 6th round pick? Baalke, the king of late round draft picks.

ETA: Nailed it :excited:

The 2008 Detroit Lions say hi.

Woah, you're alive and kicking! Where you been man?
Where I've always been. Just not here. :P

What a crap show this season eh? Of course we all knew it was going to be, but they do present it like the Barnum and Bailey of the NFL. Then again, I look at the NFC East and the AFC South, and realize that maybe it's the new league wide standard.

I've decided to go back to being more of a student of the game, and less being a fan. I make entertainment what it is, and the NFL is just entertainment to me. They have to compete for my dollar.

But it's clear The Rat in Marathe has been the one screwing everything up, like he always has. He won't go away, because Denise is about the bottom line, and they have increased it, even with a crap show. That's because of the fanbase. They are the ones who point out all the pretty little scarlet and gold colors the sun reflects off the mushroom cloud in the distance. Hell, they are making excuses for Gabbert already. Fools money, the fanbase. All that PSL money fielding this crap show, lol. WITH BAD TURF.

Good to see you guys again. I'm working on a few projects - one a new music project - so I've kept myself busy as usual. I'll check in every once in a while to check the room temperature. I see it's cooled around here since I haven't been around, which I can see others were very cool with lol.

Maiocco posted the PFF grades for the offensive linemen this morning. Martin has been the worst center in the league this year and Devey and Pears are both ranked in the 50-60 range. IIRC Staley has been great, top 10, and Boone has been mediocre. In an offseason of failures by the front office I think overrating the talent of the backup linemen was perhaps the most egregious, and the failure to rectify that situation in the preseason was even more infuriating.

In related news, I'm adding the Falcons defense to all my teams this week.

Jed isn't going anywhere. Marathe might not either, unless more heat is put on him to make Denise do something about it. She should. Marathe is making a mess of Jed's stewardship. I've always said Jed was too naive and unprepared for the job - he isn't the Good Uncle Eddie, more like the post Salary Cap Eddie, and even more John York - but they can't fire him. Unless he steps down and joins a tech or social media startup. Then who? Marathe? Just go clean house, and give Jed full power. I don't think he has the power other people think he has. Remember, Jed was thrust into the spotlight as the New Eddie because John York didn't want to face the media after another one of his screw ups in the Mike Nolan debacle - courtesy of Marathe - and they had to get the stadium built, which was in large part due to the Jed trying to be the New Eddie in face. Of course, the first thing he did was be the guy who hired Singletary, and Marathe had his hand in screwing that up even more as The Rat. Even though Singletary was a Denise move.

The Stadium? Oof. That's what they get trying to shoehorn the proposal for Candlestick into Santa Clara. Most of the design is from the old Candlestick proposal, IIRC. But they are booking the hell out of it, so despite it's many flaws, is a success. Even though it's located in a craphole.

Baalke. Oof. I've said all along he sucked. That's what they get from always promoting from within. He was probably working off of McBoozin's plans for the 2010 and 2011 draft. Put him on his own island, and he is horrid. They promote from within because Denise doesn't like outsiders in my observation. Of course Marathe figures into that too. It's clear they can't go forward with him. But all bets are off on that because it's the Yorks.

Bozo the Hedgehog is gone. He might have a Chris Farley Superfan heart attack by season's end anyway.

The only hope fans have is Jed being more like Mama. Denise does have a Stanley Cup as President of the Pittsburgh Penguins. The 49ers were in a Super Bowl a few years ago. But as long as Marathe is around, trying to push his Maratheball down throats, this franchise again has no chance. Unless they sell it to Larry Ellison. He is already building another court for his BNP Piribas tennis tourney, which Serena came back to, due to Ellison making that almost a 5th major.

Nice to see you back drummer.

How is .com handling this?
Lol, I don't go the fan forums. Although I did peek at Niners Nation. They are the new 49er Webzone now. They even recruited Oscar Aparicio from it lol. Trying to sift through his stuff makes you wonder how much paint he ingested as a child. I blame Jason Hurley for that one. I should had known it would turn out bad helping him get a gig there.

Nice to see you too.

Ouch, downgraded from a nation to a webzone.

Should'a kept Smith around, eh?
No. It was the right decision at the time. Nobody could foresee the JebCo incompetence and that Kap would not progress. Smith is what we thought he was.
Chiefs fans are there already:

http://www.kansascity.com/sports/spt-columns-blogs/for-petes-sake/article39742902.html

That whole "Shoulda kept Smith" meme is old schtick. Smith's on a record pace of taking sacks. Too bad they don't play the Lions every week. Behind the current 49er offensive line with the scrubs Baalke inserted, Smith would had broken his record of 44 sacks - that had Iupati and Davis in 2011 under Harbaugh - already.

Had an HBO Real Sports producer hit me up on Facebook a couple of weeks ago, asking if he can call me over daily fantasy football. I told him to call Joe B., lol. Sorry Joe. Maybe that brings another warning point, I dunno.

Anybody else get hit up by that guy? His name is Jake Rosenwasser. I called back to the office number - not the number he gave me to check him out - and I did get HBO's HQ.

If ya do get on HBO's Real Sports Joe B., shave a warning point or two off me, will ya? I pimped FootballGuys big time in a good way to him.

I posted something about FanDuel, Draft Kings, and league involvement, so that might had pinged the FB algorithm that may had helped Rosenwasser troll posts. Weird that I get an HBO producer hit me up there when I don't play any sort of FF.

Looking at some of the other owners of the 49ers crap show - Gideon Yu, John M. Sobrato, and Mark Wan. Yu and Wan are both venture capitalists, and Sobrato a real estate developer. Your basic Silicon Valley triad of vultures lol.

Some links to check them out.

http://www.threearchpartners.com/profile.asp?p=mwan

http://www.sobrato.com/sobrato-family/members/

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gideon_Yu

All listed as Co-Owners according to the official website. The "Silent Partners" I guess. Yu of course was team President, who like Marathe never had a position in football before joining the 49ers. If you think Marathe is going anywhere, think again. Silicon Valley has a partner in the NFL now. I figure Marathe having a huge hand in all of that, bringing in partners and investors from the tech industry. It's probably not news there, but I haven't paid attention much to this. Connecting the dots to anything York is more like pinning the tail on the donkey show they bring, but this is more serious business to key in on.

Maybe after the season they'll bring in Erlich Bachmann and the **** jerk algorithm so he can bring happy endings to the fanbase. Of course middle out may not apply here, since the 49ers may be already rotten at the core. Jed of course being the wannabe Pied Piper for Santa Clara. What they need is to have is St. Patrick drive out all the snakes, since Jed has a front office full of rats.

Gabbert jerseys are flying off the shelves already lol. Gabbert as the QBOTF would be awesome! With Tomsula still as head coach! Pull the trigger now Jed! Give them both contract extensions like your dad did with Terry Donahue!

^lol

The QB switch definitely gave the team a spark. It was nice to see Patton have a decent game, maybe he will actually pan out and be a non-wasted draft pick. And while Im not going gaga over Gabbert, he does look like he understands the game and can read defenses better than Kaep (which isnt saying much).

Looks like the Kaep project may be over. It was a good run.

Oh cmon, we had some good times with Kaep.

I do wonder if McDonald dropped that pass from Kaepernick just so the coach wasn't tempted to let Kaep play for a couple series.

Carradine didn't play speaking of wasted second round picks.
The good news is I think we have 73 5th, 6th, and 7th round picks in the next 2 years.

Smooth maneuvering Trent, smooth!

I think the real play will be trading some more of those picks to acquire an extra 15 late round picks. Maybe we can just have every pick of the 6th round in 2019, that would be awesome!

Well, Troy Smith gave the team a spark, Shaun Hill gave the team a spark. JT O'Sullivan won two concecutive games against bad teams. Tim Rattay had a 2-1 record in his 3 starts in 2003.

Ken Dorsey's stat line - in his sole win as starter in 2003 against AZ - 18-34, 52.63 CMP%, 191 yards, 3TDs, 0 INTs. Oh, for the passer rating guys: 99.0! :excited:

:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

That wasn't towards your post. Just looking at the Dorsey game made me :lmao: .

Bozo the Hedgehog proved he can replace a head coach that took the 49ers to the Super Bowl with just one meaningless win. So it makes perfect sense that the 49ers would crown Gabbert's *** to replace the QB who started in the Super Bowl with another meaningless win. It wouldn't be the 49ers if anything made sense.

Somewhere, a 49er fan has a Dorsey jersey. Right next to his JTO one. Who now just bought a Gabbert one.

Hoping for Patton to pan out is like hoping Marcus Maxwell would.

Great weekend!

1. We didn't lose.

2. The Seahawks did, and remain only one game ahead of our steaming pile of dung.

I almost miss the Hawk trolls in our thread....

Hard to believe Seattle is only one game better than us right now, but it's absolutely hilarious. We have legit reasons with all the offseason departures, etc, they're just sucking because they suck.
