What a bull#### game for my boys. I honestly don't know what it will take to get them over the hump of beating Real Madrid. Today was the PERFECT setup and yet, they still manage to lose (not even draw) despite being up 1-0, despite RM resting many starters, despite Atleti playing at home, despite being Atleti rested, despite having more possession, shots, shots on target, and dangerous looks in the box.
All it takes is a bad ricochet for an own goal and a counter attack totally against the run of play to spoil it.

Is Ray Hudson your commentator in America?![]()
He was too busy claiming Walcott had racially abused him.At no point did Evra really seem concerned about Walcott blowing past him for a goal.

Chelsea has the toughest run-in of the three. At Old Trafford and Villa Park and home against Spurs and Everton.Should be a fascinating battle between Arsenal and Spurs. Spurs control their own destiny - win out and they finish at least 4th.
Arsenal - @ QPR, home to Wigan, @ Newcastle
Spurs - home to Southampton, @ Chelsea, @ Stoke, home to Sunderland

Joseph Barton Joseph Barton @Joey7Barton 3hI can't believe QPR have just been relegated and Boswinga was walking down the tunnel laughing! Embarrassing. Show some guts man...Joseph Barton Joseph Barton @Joey7Barton 3hGutted for the club. To many wankers amongst the playing staff. All brought in by Hughes. Some good lads but not enough. Too many maggotsJoseph Barton @Joey7Barton 3hHope they can get a load out, if not they'll end up in a Wolves situation because trust me that Championship is a f*cking hard league!
From what I understand the English will greet the Germans on the beaches, on the landing grounds, in the fields and in the streets, and in the hills.2 German teams in Wembley for the final. Will anyone from England even attend?
But there won't be a single one of them in the terraces. From what I understand the English will greet the Germans on the beaches, on the landing grounds, in the fields and in the streets, and in the hills.2 German teams in Wembley for the final. Will anyone from England even attend?

What a week this was. The unemployment figures went over the six million mark last Thursday, for the first time in Spain's history. That represents 26% of the active population, and normally, football would offer itself up as the opium of the people - a role that the game successfully played during Franco's 40-year regime. It seemed to help in keeping revolution at bay. Which is a roundabout way of saying that Spain's Prime Minister Mariano Rajoy, born in Galicia but a Real Madrid supporter, must have been suffering a little last week when Spain's two semi-finalists in the Champions League both failed miserably to deliver the opium. A week earlier, Rajoy had presented the new Pope with the Spain national shirt, signed by all the players. The Pope declined the invitation to slip it on, but he looked very happy, even though I'm sure he'd prefer Argentina to win the next World Cup.
Ah! Forever lurching from joy to despair and back, with nothing in-between, the Spanish are now wailing to the four winds that the failure of their two flagship clubs in Germany last week also signals the end of Spain's Golden Age, as in the year 1700. The conquistador money has all been spent, Charles II has died without an heir, and Pep Guardiola is going to Bayern. It doesn't get much darker.
Well, now there's another reason to dislike Rajoy.I know I've pimped him before, but if you don't read Phil Ball's columns on Spanish football you're missing out...

I've seen him in other threads. He's taken a leave of absence from this thread before when he's felt insulted. I must have missed what did it this time. He has me an ignore, so it couldn't have been me this time.btw... anyone know what happened to Newly Retired? Haven't seen him here at all recently.
I don't, although I'd be interested too.Anyone know a site to find the card situation for the Bayern v Barca match?

I remember thinking Lahm was the biggest name who was one yellow card from suspension.
Heynckes could even be forgiven if it is in his thinking that six of his players – Javi Martínez, Mario Gomez, Bastian Schweinsteiger, Luiz Gustavo, Dante and Philipp Lahm – would miss the final with another yellow card.
Wow, that's a hell of a list to keep an eye onFrom GuardianI don't, although I'd be interested too.Anyone know a site to find the card situation for the Bayern v Barca match?
