He did kick him pretty hard. But noone would have said anything if he had only gotten a yellow. Pretty harsh call imo.

It's like the US against italy turns into mexico against the USA. Stupid cards and tackles all the time. Italy is in the US's head. That's the only way I can explain this.

GGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAALLL

LLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Gotta say that I thought Spector and Bradley in particular had terrific first halves (Bradley did almost have one disastrous mistake, but otherwise has been all over the pitch). Landycakes drifted in and out of the game but was excellent at times. Feilhaber was near invisible for entire half, but provides one terrific through ball to lead to the goal. That's the way it is with playmakers.

Red card was a bit of a shame, but I can't say that it was all that an egregious a call. When you're high and late, red is always a possibility.

Just saw the replay of what got Ricardo the RC. Pretty weak. I hope we can hold through the second half here to come away with a result.

They've been attacking down the right side of the US defense all half with Iaquinta and Grosso attacking Spector....and Spector's denied them every time so far.

Go USA! :lmao:Aside from leading 1-0 have we looked like worthy competition so far?-QG
Possession has been very close to 50/50. We've scrambled a bit more at the back, and Italy has looked dangerous on set plays, but Landon has also put both Bradley and Altidore through with very good chances. We're maybe a bit fortunate to be in the lead, but we've certainly played them even.

Rossi!

Rossi and Montolivo coming in.

Camoranesi and Gattuso out.

Taking out 2 mids for a mid and a striker. Lippi looking to pour the pressure on
