The US played pretty well, though...but each time they got a lead, they fell asleep. Great composure from the Japanese players to find a way to make it happen.Hang your hat on watching a very exciting match, in which the team that deserved to win prevailed. On the bright side we would have won if it was sudden death.(sorry, thats ll i got to hang my hat on)

Although I don't exactly watch much soccer, I didn't think it was a good sign when that US player got substituted out with a few minutes left in OT (US up by one), received an ovation and waved to the crowd. Both times they took the lead in this game, they didn't seem prepared to counter the inevitable sense of urgency that Japan played with.6-15 lead to two big upsets.5-13 on PKs for these two games, crazy.
No kidding... and as I'm typing I see the forward miss too.Maybe Brazil should let some of its goal scorers partake in the PK's as the MF's and Defenders sure arent doing $#$%.
Brazil goes 0/4 and they're out of the Copa America. Doesn't REALLY matter, they'll be in the Confederations Cup....but it makes for a much more exciting Copa with both Brazil and Argentina going out in the quarterfinals...And Brazil. I'd rather watch players I know.Pulling for Uruguay now I guess. Big fan of Forlan, Suarez and Lugano.not for me. I'd much rather have ARG still in it.
Can't say I rooted against here, but karma is a #####...Obviously not all her fault, but she stops that one she got her hand on, who knows what happens?Am i the only 1 rooting against Hope Solo ?
Exciting in the sense that the games won't have definite favorites. I think we'd all rather watch Argentina and Brazil, but I'd rather see two evenly-matched teams battle it out than, say, Argentina bowing out to Uruguay and then Brazil coasting to a cup win.not for me. I'd much rather have ARG still in it.
