Heck of a comeback from Wolves... Swansea has to think this was a lose.. Good matchNo respect out there for Wolves-Swansea. My Comcast guide lists this match as "English Championship Soccer".

18Who has two thumbs and FSC in HD?:thisguy:
I too am looking forward to watching the Bayern-Hannover match. The price we pay for Sunday's showdown.Tomorrow's EPL games suck. :(
I'd have to reserve my judgment until I hear what the players think. I doubt I've played on this "highest-rated FIFA field turf", but I've always been of the opinion that the game changes dramatically when played on turf. I don't think it necessarily makes things worse, just different. If the players are ok with it, then I'd be ok with it.I have a conundrum that maybe you guys can help with. The question only is regarding qualifiers NOT a friendly. Assuming Seattle rips up the rug they have now and puts down the highest rated Fifa field turf (as they said they would), how would you feel about playing a home qualifier there?
I believe there is only one field in the entire US rated at the FIFA 2 star (best) level and that is in Foxboro. But even that turf is "older" technology compared to what they put in Vancouver just last month. I have not yet been able to see a game on it but the players say its by far the best they have ever played on. That doesn't mean it is as good as grass, just better than other turf fields.I believe Seattle is looking to put the same turf as Vancouver has into their stadium. There are teams in Europe now who use this turf in league play including 2 in the French top division. Both Liverpool and Bayern I believe recently installed it to use as a training pitch.I am sure the technology is light years better from even 7 years ago, but like all of you, I can still instantly tell when a game is being played on turf from watching on TV for 3 seconds. My conundrum is really wanting that Seattle crowd at a qualifier but also hating the turf fields. I am trying to talk myself into a turf field so that the US can have a rare dominant home crowd.I'd have to reserve my judgment until I hear what the players think. felt bad for swansea. they played really, really well (based on my extremely limited knowledge of soccer) for all but the last few minutes of the game. That comeback by wolves was pretty incredible. They got dominated for all but the last five minutes, but still pulled it out.
MM needs to just make whatever talk/adjustments he makes at halftime before the game. I've never seen a guy who has better luck in the second half.'The Z Machine said:That comeback by wolves was pretty incredible. They got dominated for all but the last five minutes, but still pulled it out.

I actually like Kanouté, and think he's a very good player. Great nose for the goal.
'Good said:Scoreless in stoppage time, Iniesta dives and gets a PK. Sevilla team loses their #### and crowd the ref. One of their players, Kanoute, goes to the spot and blatantly kicks the ball away, getting him a yellow. He then gets into a scrum with Fabregas (still the PK hasn't been taken) and grabs him around the neck, and gets the red. Finally they get it sorted out, Sevilla down a man, Messi takes the PK, stutters a little, and shoots right, and Varas saves it, who played out of his mind the entire game. Pedro wins a PK on the side edge of the box a couple minutes later (again, all of this is in stoppage), a yellow is shown to Navarro, he argues and gets a red, Escude gets a yellow too. Messi takes the free kick, but it's headed away and the whistle blows.
All told, 8 Sevilla players got carded. But they stole a point. I felt bad when Iniesta won the PK on a dive, but that ended quickly when Kanoute gooned it up.

Not a free kick. The second one was outside of the box.'Good said:Scoreless in stoppage time, Iniesta dives and gets a PK. Sevilla team loses their #### and crowd the ref. The GK used his head? Or was this not a PK?
And its not irrational at allAWFULI'm really developing an irrational hatred for Johnny EvansI just think the guy is awful.
Well, you won't have to see him anymore today...I'm really developing an irrational hatred for Johnny EvansI just think the guy is awful.
ExactlyHorrible horrible player. Vidic and Phil Jones can both run circle around that scrub."Johnny Evans always has a mistake in him"
It is very untrue. FSC is not in enough households to make that happen. The EPL game will probably draw around 400k-500k viewers. The World Series is averaging about 14.3 million viewers. To give a better example for you, last years Champions League final on the main Fox network drew 4 million viewers.Don't know if it's true, but a guy here, who calls this place church, says more people in the US are watching EPL today than the World Series.
