I know that the US team is medicore and I watch with those expectations, but it's still painful to see it in action. I find myself doing a lot of cringing.

Not sure i saw Sasha take a good touch all half.
I was thinking this, too. He had 2-3 first touches in a row that as soon as he set foot on them they wen 2-3yards away from him or to someone else. oof
I blame Tasker
I love Sacha, and I don't think he's been that bad in this tournament, but he's been bad today. One time at the top of the 18, a Panama player just nudged him off the ball with ease. Ouch.

Yeah, I hate to credit Adu (say it three times and LHucks will appear), but that was a lovely ball to ignite the break. Xavi wouldn't have been ashamed to take credit for it.

He's shown some wonderful vision a couple of times now but he's also made two absolutely horrible negative passes that we have been lucky not to get punished on. It's almost like he is trying to suck Bradley/Jones forward to beat them. In part maybe a lack of game time but you've got to use your head, especially at this point.

Did I just see an ad for a DVD of ManU's 2010/11 season titled the "most incredible" season? Shouldn't that be the most incredible season if you forget about Barca's season?

Yeah, Freddie had 2 or maybe 3 suspect giveaways, but he also 2 or 3 little pieces of dribbling that I'm not sure anyone on the roster can match.

And of course, the pass to spring Donovan was tremendous.

He's never going to be what we thought he could be, but if he ever finds a place where he can consistently play, i think he can be a factor. You can be slow and small if you're smart and have ball skills.

"I've been saying it, I've been saying it for three damn years"was streaming from Cambodia.:pickle:Freddy is still maturing as a player at this level...you're going to get some hot n cold from him, just like Altidore.WTF with Landon though...if he was injured he wouldn't be subbing in consecutive games, he must have some sort of illness or cardio issue.

He's still just 22.

:goodposting: I thought this was the perfect spot for him, US needs a goal against a not so physical opponent. You would never want him in against Germany for example.

I'm watching this pregame show on univision (I'm not sure why) and they just interviewed Landon (didn't know he could speak Spanish). He told them he had no preference between Mexico and Honduras. That's an interesting viewpoint.
