I think I agree. The better question is whether it will be deserved? I hate to be a conspiracy theorist, but it seems like a fair amount of home cooking going on. And obviously, our back four is slow enough to get way out of position.

So far at least, the ref has been calling Guat really, really tight- not letting them do anything to the US players. I like it. And I don't see any kind of mystery hand ball getting called the wya it used to.And it seems like Demspey is finally getting the respect he's wanted from refs... every time he goes down he gets the call- even for some that looked like decent challenges.

I was thinking a similar thing, I was wondering when's the last time he took a player 1v1? He's gotten the ball in the narrow left wing a few times now and has played it back into the midfield each time. I know we've commented on this in here before, but it's noticeable tonight.Yes, poor whistle from the ref there.
