Unless something funny happens, that game should determine who goes through, the US or Guat.Well at least that guat game in kc will be worth going to

Why is it a joke? One of the big teams struggles in the semi's every cycle. It's certainly not our first bumpy road and Mexico squeezed by on the last game last semi final cycle.Floppo and I have always said we think the semi's are more difficult than the hex. The US had a great semi's last cycle but that was rare. What a joke.Unless something funny happens, that game should determine who goes through, the US or Guat.Well at least that guat game in kc will be worth going to
Out of form, for sure.lacking quality
Except for the free kick, it's not like Jamaica was playing over their heads. The US played down to their level and couldn't maintain possession to save their souls.Out of form, for sure.lacking quality

To be fair, he didn't get a lot of service.Dempsey looked dead in the second half. Now we need to wonder if he can go again so soon. Jozy's play bugged me the most though. Fully fit, in form and the perfect chance to put the team on his back and was invisible.

Agreed but his work rate was not great either and the three or so times he touched the ball, he gave it right away. Totally. I was trying to write how weak the Jamaican MF was defending, pretty much throughout the game. US MFs had plenty of time on the ball, but couldn't link up with each other or with the forwards. But the Jamaican back line was stout, and when anybody got the ball, they just had to run sideways until the got around the corner of the US defender.Except for the free kick, it's not like Jamaica was playing over their heads. The US played down to their level and couldn't maintain possession to save their souls.Out of form, for sure.lacking quality

If that holds, what's the result? If they draw?Hmmmm, Antigua just took the lead over Guat, in Guat, late in the first half.
The score is 1-0 right now. I am unsure what you are asking. If that holds, what's the result? If they draw?Hmmmm, Antigua just took the lead over Guat, in Guat, late in the first half.
Gomez got fair- not great- service. But Jozy was completely- COMPLETELY- AWOL. Soo hard to say why only watching the play within the TV screen. Can't watch his runs off the ball thoughout the play when he's off-camera.But he seemed slow to react to the first and second ball- typically beaten on the ground and in the air by his defenders. And he never got separation from them. Now- maybe his role was to push up high and keep the center backs occupied while Gomez worked the seams... but even still, they just ate him up. Most non-existent game of his I think I've ever seen. Not a single useful touch that I can recall.Agreed but his work rate was not great either and the three or so times he touched the ball, he gave it right away. are you using my thumbs and phone? or just as drunk as I am/was.If that holds, what's the result? If they draw?Hmmmm, Antigua just took the lead over Guat, in Guat, late in the first half.
I agree. The problem wasn't with the back 4, it was the MFs in front of them. But without Bradley, all of a sudden the US looks pretty thin there.Anyone else think the US back 4 was decent? I would have no real problems with them starting again on Tuesday. We do lose some attacking with Parkhurst since that is not his strength although even Fab had no space to get forward.
I'm asking in regards to standings in the group.Mother ####, peru just scored a second to go up.The score is 1-0 right now. I am unsure what you are asking. If that holds, what's the result? If they draw?Hmmmm, Antigua just took the lead over Guat, in Guat, late in the first half.
Getting any points off of Guat would be huge for the US.Jam has 7 points after 3 gamesUS has 4 points after 3 gamesGuat has 1 point after 2 games (playing 3rd game now)Antigua has 0 points after 2 games (playing 3rd game now)I'm asking in regards to standings in the group. The score is 1-0 right now. That's right. I forgot Pappa scored one as well. They may also need to think about the walls placement. The first goal was a mess.btw- lost amidst all the hand-wringing and gnashing of teeth, that 2nd Jamaica goal was pretty ####### well taken.Out of 4 goals given up by the US this cycle, 3 have been from direct free kicks. Somebody needs to tell those defensive MFs not to foul so much in front of the box.
You didn't like Beckerman's jump and turn sideways technique? That's right. I forgot Pappa scored one as well. They may also need to think about the walls placement. But really- teh point is that the Howard hasn't been too challenged in the 3 games, and that's a result of decent defending in front of him from the back 4. I don't recall Guat doing much at all outside of the goal. And Antigua's goal was just a result of some shoddy individual defending on the play- not a lot of chances other than that. How many shots did Jamaica put on frame? Did Howard even make a save? That said- Jamaica also screwed the pooch with some embarrassing service from the flanks. You didn't like Beckerman's jump and turn sideways technique? That's right.
