I hate FC Barcelona.
I'm a long-time Barca fan, but pretty fair-weather. Certainly don't live and die with them, but I try to catch their matches and have enjoyed watching them play the last several years now. So I may be biased, but I don't think overly so. Serious Q... what do people who hate Barca dislike? With the exception of Pique they don't really even have many players that seem objectionable.
Simply put, they win too much and are egotistical about it. I don't like favorites, and I don't like the adoration heaped on them. And LOL at "worshiping at the church of Real." I don't know how much more clueless you couod be.

World-class free kick from Mata, and he nearly gets a second right after. I missed the first 14 mins and it was already 2-0...cliffs notes?
Own goal off a rebound shot from RvP. RvP nails a wide open shot from 10 yards after no one wants to mark him when a cross comes. That RvP guy is pretty good.

Also, you saw why United likes De Gea. He's got reactions and quickness that can't be learned. Obviously he's got deficencies, but I think a lot of those can be corrected with training and experience.

"Alright guys, Z Machine from the internet is getting huffy. Let's dump this next game against Levante so we're not winning too much."
I'll take them one at a time. My Atlei play Osasuna this week. They play Valenciz next week.Oh man, that wasn't a dive by Torres at all. No sending off warranted.

Chicharito looked offside to me. Regardless, this is a great game....one of those games that could convert even the most fervent soccer haters.

ETA - damn auto correct

As a United fan, I completely agree. I was stunned. I wonder how much previous reputation played into it though?

Why? He's not Suarez.

A fervent soccer hater would have a problem with the officials taking over the last 30 minutes

Bayern currently trailing Leverkusen 1-0. Week 9 of the league and this is only the 3rd goal given up this season.

30 minutes to fix this issue. Looks like Robben is getting ready to come on.

Bayern's Shaqiri was just carded for diving in the box! A well deserved card. Terrible.

I kinda figured that after I posted it.
Yeah, that never happens in Amurican sports.
Rarely so blatantly as in today's game

United :towelwave:

Massive result today. Yeah, second red was bs, but not much can be done about it now.

And I sort feel sorry for......nah #### that diving ####er Suarez.

Hearing reports that Rodgers is sending out a lifeline to try to bring Drogba to Anfield. Chinese season ends in a week or so and his team would be willing to let him walk. Desperation, sure, but it's tough to have only one healthy striker. Liverpool really needs to do this Ba for Carroll deal if that is still open in January. Ba is a monster

Great games today after yesterday was kind of a #### fest all over.

Juve won too on what shoulda been an offside call. Inter with a solid 3-1 win.

Two late games in Italy, I really think this Roma/Udinese game should be a cracker.

Yes Bayern lost 2-1. The winning goal was a cross that was headed and was going to go wide and it hit a defender straight in the face and redirected around Neuer.

Bayern's goals against for the season doubled today.

And given the paucity of goals every blown call in soccer is like a bad one in the last minute or two of other sports. Bad goals awarded or good goals disallowed affect the game much more often than the average mistakes elsewhere.

Mark Clattenburg, the ref who called todays Chelsea-United clash, has handed out almost a quarter (4/17) of the red cards in the Premier League so far this season.

Fascinating stat!

Its official NBC wins rights to EPL matches starting in 2013.
In an interview Sunday night with SI.com, NBC Chairman Mark Lazarus said NBC Sports Network will be the primary carrier of EPL games and that EPL fans will have access to every game on the schedule through an NBC platform. "It will not be unlike the Olympics where you saw programming on CNBC, Bravo, USA or MSNBC," Lazarus said. "We are working to make it a consistent schedule so fans know exactly where to find games. But the Premier League fan will be able to get to every game live."

I'm cautiously optimistic.
