Half day in order and practice cancelled for tonight here.

I have no idea what to expect.  Villarreal honestly never threatened us defensively, and they finished higher than Sevilla...

But I imagine Sevilla has kind of mirrored our situation, where they focused on the Europa and de-prioritized the league. They also must do well in tournaments, as they've won this thing twice in a row and also are in a final this weekend.

Pretty interesting stuff.  That being said, I think the author under-estimates Liverpool's desire to win this game.  I think Liverpool are far more "desperate" to win this than Sevilla.  At some level, that's a bit irrelevant, as both teams will be giving 100%, but the Liverpool players aren't just out to win it in order to get to the CL.

Liverpool is in for a whoopin' today, right?

P.S. I accidentally typed Liverpoop and considered leaving it because of how much my 4 year old loves the word "poop"

If I haven't missed anything, this is Liverpool's 11th CL or UEFA Cup final.  5-2 in CL, 3-0 in UEFA -- not bad.

And since I became a fan they're 4-2 in big cup finals (1-1 in CL, 1-0 in UEFA, 2-1 in FA Cup) -- with all four wins being classics (4-4 vs Alaves, Owen's late double vs Arsenal, the the rally from 3-0 down vs Milan, and the Steven Gerrard game vs West Ham).

i was reading earlier that Liverpool are 8-3 in finals, so this should be their 12th.

But I forgot where I read it, maybe a fail article...

That includes the Cup Winners Cup (I think).  But if a club like Chelsea can win it twice I figured it probably wasn't worth counting.

This is why I come here.

This is why I come here.
Fisher Athletic went out of business three years after beating the Dons in the Isthmian League playoffs.

They reformed as a supporter-backed club called Fisher FC and now compete in the Southern Counties East league (level 9-10 of the English pyramid).

So I'm mainly a Spurs fan.

For today do I 'concentrate on the league' in my cheering or go with my gut and cheer against 'Pool?

I can see points to both arguments. Mainly tho I just don't like 'Pool.

Team: Mignolet, Clyne, Toure, Lovren, Moreno, Can, Milner, Lallana, Firmino, Coutinho, Sturridge.
Subs: Ward, Benteke, Henderson, Lucas, Allen, Origi, Skrtel

Hate that Toure has to play and that Lucas and Skrtel are the only options off the bench.  Nice to see both Henderson and Origi well enough to make the bench though.
