My favorite matchup by far in the 4th round of the Open Cup is the LA Galaxy hosting La Maquina, a USASA (5th tier) semi-pro team from Orange County.

With the Galaxy's history of...focusing on the league...La Maquina has a real chance of an upset here

This is the first year for OKC to have two teams.  The Energy has been around a few years and averages 7k/game.  Rayo OKC in its first year is averaging 5k/game.  I hate that the teams are competing for the soccer market, but I love that 12k people are attending games.  Maybe OKC will be on the MLS radar at some point because MLS attendance in some cities is around 15k.
OKC should appear in the expansion mix when the league jumps from the 28 size to its eventual final size of 32 teams.   Lots of variables obviously but one thing has been clear.  Every lower level team that has made the jump has seen their attendance grow significantly when coming into MLS.

Portland, Seattle, Vancouver, and Montreal all averaged well under 10k a game in the lower levels.  Orlando was right around 10k when they jumped.

LA's record in the Open Cup is abysmal for a top team since Arena took over.  He also refuses to play his top side in the CCL so it must just be a philosophy of his knowing how gruling the MLS regular season is, he just uses what little depth he has in the Cup games

I am so torn about Gary Monk at Leeds (Leeds Leeds), on one hand I love Leeds and Monk and would like  nothing more for him to the the one who gets them back to the top tier... but on the other hand, I am really hoping to cash on in the Leeds Coach Carousel pool I am in, and would need Monk to be fired quickly to have a shot at winning.

Lewandowski to Real Madrid is a done deal?

The latest Galactico at the Bernabeu could be Robert Lewandowski; Real Madrid have already come to a private agreement with the Bayern Munich star, writes Spanish journalist Guillem Balague for AS.

The report says the Poland international's agent Cezary Kucharski made the trip with his client to Madrid for Bayern's Champions League semifinal against Atletico and met with Real Madrid director Jose Angel Sanchez.

Apologies, all.  My penance shall be 3  Hail Queens:

They don't look very good in the run of play against average Euro opponents but they keep winning somehow. I thought even the Turks were technically superior. It doesn't look to me like the defensive midfield is good enough for a high level of international play.
