Really looking forward to this Arsenal-City game.  Although...a loss would be really tough for either team at this point.  

City didn't spend boatloads and hire Pep to be 10 points back midway through.  

I'm very impressed with United and Chelsea and both have relatively easy schedules over upcoming games.  Chelsea can build a commanding lead and ManU are right back in the top 4 mix.

 
At this stage last season, the top-4 ended as top-4

The relegated squads were 16, 17, and 20

This year, one of the top-4 will finish outside the top-4, obviously.

 
So I had the FIFA Club Championship on yesterday morning.  Ronaldo proceeds to do what Ronaldo does in overtime.  Wife goes he's cute.  I proceed to show her his Instagram.  Cute went to gross and the 5-year old even chuckled at the photos.

that game was actually a lot of fun... was really pulling for antlers, who played great.

what do you guys think of this cup? 

I know it takes a lot of heat because the drop in talent from Europe/SA to the rest of the confeds is pretty steep, but I still like seeing how those teams do against the rest of the world (I mean, viceversa). and of course how mexican team does against all of them because MLS/schedule/never-happening in our lifetime.

if they can do this, and continue to do this... have to figure the league will start to attract a ton more guys.

does the china league have rules in place about number of foreigners per team/on the field?

huh... I never bothered to ask when I lived there. now I'm really curious. anybody?

eta: with both of them playing in the same stadium, makes it even trickier.

You ended up on Sunderland I assume for the same reason you are adding Dortmund, due to an American connection.

 
Also, thought i posted this earlier -stupid forum - but shockingly, RM has had their transfer ban cut in half - they will be back in business this summer.

It does not sound good.

On the other hand, if $40m extra was the make or break point for the project, I would argue they are not capitalized enough to succeed in MLS.  My guess is that they do have enough money and are just trying to get anything they can for free.

From a purely business point of view, I do kind of wish each situation could be handled like Orlando did.  They actually gave back money to the city the received so that they could remain in sole control of revenue streams from the stadium.

I'd put it this way, Edgerley is going to have problems convincing people he needs the money (for those that don't want to do the math, he's plunked down 85 million for luxury real estate in the past 2 years).:

I don't see James being any cheaper than Ozil.  If Arsenal can't afford Ozil and Sanchez, they can't afford James.  Besides, Ozil was a lot more successful at Real Madrid than James has been, so I don't see that as an upgrade.  James makes sense for United, I suppose.  He's definitely an upgrade at the 10 in a squad that plays a 10.  I still don't think that's Man U's biggest hole, but I can see that move.  I could see City too, I suppose, but I don't think that's City's weakness either.

Its likely Arsene's last year, and its probably not much cash, if they agree to send Ozil on loan to RM, with an option to buy this summer.

:shrug:

 As for James not being a winger - do Hazard or Pedro really play on the wing?  They way they line up, Moses and Alonso do most of the wide work.

That just leaves Spurs...who are well known to splash the cash in the transfer window, and pay inflated wages...
