I don't know if LVG can turn this around. I have serious doubts Jose can fix it (he isnt good when a team isnt playing well). I am certain Giggs isnt ready and needs to go coach somewhere else before taking over United.

5th place, with half a season to go still (21 games left), do you sack the manager? With Ancelotti reportedly taking over Bayern next season I don't see him coming in. Can Jose do it, is he better then LVG? Who could take over for LVG? Moyes? Rodgers?

I opened up a 466 page behemoth spread sheet that lists out every single game played with a result. I hope someone automated this process else some poor intern's fingers must have fallen off

I am surprised it has not worked out better for United - but LVG would have been a disaster at Spurs - with no transfer budget to spend.

Pochettino has really fit in well at Tottenham. It took some growing pains, but his style is now clearly understood and embraced across the entire team.

To have the youngest team in the league competing for the top 4 is pretty impressive.

My sense is that if Mourinho was who they wanted all along, they might as well pull the trigger.

If not, Man U is still too competitive in the league to make a change. It's not as if anyone is setting a blistering pace. I suppose the real question is how likely they think Mourinho would be to wait until the summer.

Man City's league form is worse than United's over past three months. Going back 12 matchweeks to mid Sept., City have 5 wins, 2 draws and 5 losses, while United are 5-4-2. That's just PL games though, United was knocked out of the Champions League and League Cup in that stretch, while City is still playing in both.
