That video is hilarious.
First thing I thought tooI like how the video listed all the stats relevant to a DM.
he's terrible.First thing I thought too
"Giovinco has ZERO clean sheets, ZERO saves since coming to MLS. Glad he's off to Turkey"

crime.no 4-3-3 Spurs will be 4231 under Pochettino - but lots of options to plug in.holy... just saw that Spurs DID get Sissoko.... missed the end of yesterday's news.
Sissoko and Dembele? nice. Dier behind? maybe a 4-3-3 there?
did I miss any other last minute transfer/loans?
show me... Dier and who in the 2?no 4-3-3 Spurs will be 4231 under Pochettino - but lots of options to plug in.
Dier/Wanyama and Dembele/Sissokoshow me... Dier and who in the 2?
nice.Dier/Wanyama and Dembele/Sissoko
But, they can mix and match as necessary. Sissoko can also play up wider.
Why? Strictly financial reasons? Not that I follow too closely, but was under the assumption that NASL was growing like MLS.Looks like the NASL is in some trouble.
Twitter is buzzing that Ottawa has decided to pull out and that Ft Lauderdale and Oklahoma may fold when the season is done.
It is also possible that Edmonton follow Ottawa out of league.
There was something in Oklahoma about 40 pallets of turf being taken by the owner of the team in the middle of the night. They play at a high school field (a decent one) and I still can't get a clear explanation. Also half the field is still missing and they have a game on Sep 11.Looks like the NASL is in some trouble.

The NASL has not been growing. MLS and USL are doing well (they are financially linked together) but the NASL has been struggling. Why? Strictly financial reasons? Not that I follow too closely, but was under the assumption that NASL was growing like MLS.
I read that story the other day and it is so bizarre. But from what I have heard the team is such a mess there. There was something in Oklahoma about 40 pallets of turf being taken by the owner of the team in the middle of the night. ETA, found a link... http://newsok.com/soccer-rayo-okc-playing-surface-removed-by-minority-owner/article/5516004
The USL is still the 3rd division. Earlier this year they applied to move up to second division status (I think people were sensing the NASL was not goin to make it).that would really suck.
although... we've all been scratching our heads about how USL and NASL are both the 2nd tier of US pro soccer
Grazie. I just assumed the growth of MLS was symbiotic. Good to hear that the USL is on the rise. I really do have to start paying more attention to American soccer. I feel like a hypocrite. The NASL has not been growing. MLS and USL are doing well (they are financially linked together) but the NASL has been struggling.
Note that the NASL is also about to lose its strongest team finacially when Minnesota moves to MLS next season.
The Canadian teams are thinking of starting their own league in Canada but that will struggle with out the big three Canadian teams that are in MLS.
====================
My guess is that the NASL will come close to collaspe soon and a few teams will be offered to merge with the USL and the USL will then be designated the new division 2 league in the US.
oh- thanks. I obviously missed (or forgot) that it was still in application status... I just remembered the USL, div 2 thing. The USL is still the 3rd division. Earlier this year they applied to move up to second division status (I think people were sensing the NASL was not goin to make it).
US Soccer has not yet made a decision.
I still think we will see a merger and USL will become the second division.
Yes, the OKC Energy was the original OKC soccer team and is well supported and backed. The owners have backed other 'minor league' teams and know what they are doing. Plus they have the $ to do it right. I think the Energy draws around 10k/game.I read that story the other day and it is so bizarre. But from what I have heard the team is such a mess there.
Luckily if Rayo does fold, I think it only strengthens the USL team in the area which from a far looks like it is run fairly well (is that correct?)
One of the most amazing (off the field) stories in US Soccer is happening in the USL with the fantastic success of Cincinnati.Grazie. I just assumed the growth of MLS was symbiotic. I wonder... USL has a lot of teams- 29 this year, with 2 more expansion teams already in the books. there are 12 NASL teams (prior to any of them folding)... maybe they start a developmental league for the MLS 2 sides? or split it up into an East and West as separate leagues? The USL is still the 3rd division. There is a lot that can happen.I wonder... everything's bigger
Why? Was Chinaglia renowned for wiping his ### with his own jersey? Most relevantly why is it so hard to get a sweet retro Cosmos jersey? I would wear the **** out of a vintage Chinaglia jersey.
you've crossed the line there, bub. Why? Was Chinaglia renowned for wiping his ### with his own jersey?
ah... didn't know that.Chinaglia was a Lazio man.
My turf field is better than the gofer holed up grass field next to it. So I've gotten used to turf. We don't slide at all though.Playing soccer on artificial turf sucks anyways
As some one who has watched decades worth of away Concacaf qualifiers, I can assure you there are real fields that are worse than fake onesPlaying soccer on artificial turf sucks anyways
