I get that. I just think those MX watchers also flip through Sportscenter and sports talk shows. They also buy..... things. There is room for something there. I think? Especially now as the next generation of Mexicans are growing up here with the clicker in their hand ( @CGRdrJoe , hi).
No habla

Somewhat related... Cincy drew 25k tonight.
After factoring in that big number you listed, Cincy averaged an amazing 17,295 for the year.

As a 3rd division club, I believe that average attendance was higher than some teams in first division leagues in every first division league in the world, with the exception of the Bundesliga

I checked EPL, MLS, Liga MX, Ligue 1, Chinese Super League, Serie A, Argentine First Division, J League and any other bigger league I could think of, and all had one or more teams who averaged less than what Cincy did this year in the 3rd division in the US.

What's the word on Kane?

Hated seeing that, especially because it was an 'effort' injury.
Still waiting on the scans - soccer teams are not nearly as forthcoming with injury news as NFL, or any American sports, teams.

I'd say a minimum of 3 weeks just seeing it bend like it did - if its a high ankle sprain - its 4-6 weeks.

So ....maybe Moyes was not the only problem?
I think the problem this game was the 4-2-4 lineup.

I'm leaning towards Jose being senile and thinking he's playing FIFA 17 where you can just plug in guys regardless of position.

Well, Moyes inherited an issue and panic bought another issue, LVG didnt remove the issues, and now Jose seems to be accepting those same issues.

But it also feels like something else is going on.  Pogba is trying to hard to live up to the price tag and show he can dominate a game.  Too many others seem to be feeling the weight lifted off them by LVG's philosophy  being gone and want to do too much, take on too many, and go schoolyard instead of making it easy.  They havent settled in now that there is freedom.  Add in Jose's determination to use a formation that doesnt get the best out of most of the team in order to include  Rooney and nothing is gelling together.  Too many people losing the ball while dribbling too much leading to counters and no sustained attacks.  Rooney's touch and lack of mobility kills attacks.  Fellaini's lack of creativity, pace, quick thinking, offensive headers, and no fouling kills attacks.....

Jose needs to do something.  I know I am not smarter then Jose (or LVG, or Moyes.... well maybe Moyes), but to me its easy, start with less Rooney and Fellaini, move to a 4-4-2 or 4-3-3, give Pogba some support in the form of Carrick or Schneiderlin, get some pace and creativity around Zlatan with a combo of Martial, Rashford, Mkhy, Mata, Herrera and get after it.

Not mush to help the United defense, but the midfield forward should be-

                             Morgan

               Pogba                       Miki

                              Mata

         Martial/Rashford                     Zlatan

I think that could be pretty solid. When Mata picks up the ball you have two strikers in front of him and two MFs that are great at forward runs.

Heck, even Zlatan as the false 9 with Rashford AND Martial in front of him...pretty close to the deeper role he played at PSG iirc

                               Morgan

               Pogba                       Miki

                                 Zlatan

         Martial                                 Rashford

I like all of this.  And I am not too worried about the defense in this formation.  A lot of the issue is the runs by valencia and shaw get lost because people lose the ball and the counter is on.  Or the immobile fro cant run with people coming through and the defense gets overloaded.  Bailley has been great.  Smalling will get comfortable next to him and be better then Blind.  Valencia and Shaw are fine back there.  The above frees up Pogba with creativity around him and a solid defender and passer behind him.  And helps the defense.

To add to gator, I think you could even go 4-4-2

                               Morgan

  Miki                         Pogba                   Martial

                      Zlatan         Rashford

If this was FM, I think I would line up like this:

Zlatan

Martial  Miki   Rashford

Pogba  Carrick

Shaw Smalling Bailly Valencia

De Gea

Rooney could slot in as a supporting striker in lieu of Miki.  They should have sold Mata - everyone knows Jose does not like Mata - I mean Mata is too short to be out there.  In this formation, Zlatan will be playing in Martial and Rashford, and then using his Zlatan-skills on set pieces/corners.  Pogba has the run of the midfield, and should be crashing the box late.  Carrick is simply a DM who helps recycle the ball, and stays deep to allow the CBs to cover for the runs by Shaw and Valencia.  Miki is directing things in the attackign end - either spraying the ball wide for a cross, or a through ball for Martial and Rashford.

Who needs Jose?

As an outsider, it just seems that ManU bought ZLATAN!, & figured everything would work itself out,  because we have God, & you don't !
:lmao:

Don't forget they paired him with TSO and the worlds most expensive player.... everything SHOULD work itself out.

I'm lost on the United lineup.  Not sure how to get the best out of Pogba.  I think Carrick or Schweini (yeah, I know) should start to sit in front of the defense, but no idea who that third mid should be.  None of them really look any good.

This is what I would go with.

Germany might be considering adding playoffs to determine their champion.

================================

What's the best way of ending Bayern Munich's four-year reign as German Bundesliga champion? If you can't beat Bayern in the 34-game league championship, how about getting a second shot in the playoffs?Former German Football League (DFL) president and Bayer Leverkusen chief executive Wolfgang Holzhauser suggested in an interview with Kicker on Monday that playoffs for the top four teams were "more relevant than ever" and "many people are considering" a playoff system. What makes them more relevant than ever? It would seem Bayern's perfect start -- 6-0, 2-0 and 3-1 wins -- after winning the Bundesliga each of the last four years is a factor, though Hertha Berlin is also 3-0-0 with promoted RB Leipzig in hot pursuit thanks to a pair of wins and a draw in three games."In the long run," Holzhauser said, "the dominance of one club is not good for the competition." Dortmund's 6-0 win at Darmstadt suggests that it will also be a worthy contender to reclaim the silverware it last hoisted in 2011 and 2012, but BVB coach Thomas Tuchel says he too would support the introduction of playoffs."Why not? It would give the runners-up, third and fourth the chance to be champion," he said Monday before Dortmund's game against Wolfsburg. "I do not think playoffs are far-fetched. I am basically very open to rule changes."
